Description of Work: The troubleshooting technician from Eric Smock showed up as scheduled and quickly diagnosed the problem, providing estimates for repairs to the system. The office manager was polite and very proactive in helping me line up financing for the project, even when I made a mistake applying on the website. Workers showed up right on time on the days of work, were polite, and were respectful of my property. Most importantly, they did excellent work. I have had one call back for a malfunctioning thermostat, and the Smock team was prompt and efficient in getting it replaced and the system operating properly. Eric Smock was not the cheapest quote I received, but their responsiveness and positive attitude made the difference in me choosing them. I would definitely work with them again.

Description of Work: I had a problem with HVAC condensation leaking on my basement floor. Another provider told me that, in addition to a minor issue with a clogged drain, I needed a system recharge. I didn't like the way he was pricing the service, it seemed unfair and random because he couldn't tell me how much coolant I needed. I sent him away and called Smock. They came promptly were very clear, transparent, and professional. Price was fair as well, so I bought a service contract. They are now my go-to HVAC people.

Description of Work: In the dead of winter, our furnace stopped producing hot or warm air. Although we did not have a service contract with the company, they made an extra effort to come as soon as they could and they did |The service technician was prompt, knowledgeable and nice. |We had gotten a quote for a new furnace from Eric 2+ years before but never bought. If we ever do, his firm will be given extra scrutiny because of his help with us in a time of need.

Description of Work: Good customer service. Installed a new HVAC system for us. Showed up when they said they would and installation went very smoothly. Previously, they had helped us over the phone with issues we were having with our system before we had to have the whole system replaced. They saved us money diagnosing things over the phone and walking us through ways to alleviate the issue. I highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: What did the provider do? It should be more like what DIDN'T the provider do! He not only checked my whole air conditioning unit inside and out, but also found a problem (fixed it, no charge), cleaned my coils (no charge) in order to get a better reading on my coolant, and took the time to check the air-flow on all three levels of our home. He did all this while showing me test results and giving me explainations along the way. That sure sounds better than your average "check-up"!
