Good moving experience and the crew was professional. Noticed a billing discrepancy after they left and it took multiple phone calls to only partially resolve the error, unfortunately. Customer service needs improvement. Will look elsewhere for the next move.

Amazing from start to finish. The four man crew had an incredible attitude, approach and thoroughness. This is a class organization from top to bottom that changes what you think the moving experience can be like.

The whole task went on very efficiently and smoothly. The neighbors didn’t even realize there was a move going on. The crew Cameron gave me a call in the morning telling me about arrival time . The crew Cameron, Dameon and Mihail were efficient swift and courteous. John Preloh (operations Manager) came onsite.

Everything was taken care of by a hardworking team. James did a thorough job assessing our needs and presenting options of temporary storage and long term moving proposal. Everyone acted in a very professional and caring manner - we look forward to using them for the 2nd phase of our move.

Olympia Moving and Storage was awesome. I can only begin to tell you how pleased my wife and I was with their services. It started with the initial phone call to get a quote. I don't remember the gentleman's name, but he was so pleasant and ask so many questions, seeming very concerned and interested with our move, that I never bothered to call another company to get another quote. I could tell that I was going to get a first class company and I was correct! Along the way, someone from the office was in touch with me through email the entire time. Confirming, and then re-confirming our appointment. Asking me if we needed help packing. The movers arrived on the morning of April 27th within the 30-minute time that I was provided. Three big strong looking guys with a big truck. All of them were pleasant, well-dressed,in uniforms, and seemed happy to be there. The foreman was Victor. We had an incredible amount of things to move,. My wife and I did a good job packing and they did an even better job of getting it onto the truck and into our new home. They started about 0830 on Saturday morning and by 1300 they were saying their goodbyes. If there's any way possible that we can reuse Olympia Moving and Storage it would be a no-brainer.

The crew from Olympia was fantastic! They worked tirelessly and went over and above the call of duty. Definitely exceeded expectations!!!

My husband and I have moved almost every-other-year for more than a decade, so we have see the good the bad and the ugly when it comes to moving companies. Olympia Moving was far and away the best moving experience we’ve ever had. From the first consultation/estimate to packing day to load and delivery, the team was professional, courteous and treating our stuff like it was there own. What amazed me most was how they constantly offered tips on how we could save money by doing certain items ourselves, packing things certain ways, renting some containers for various items to minimize packing and materials costs. I was so impressed. They truly made this move seamless and I will never use another loving company again. Olympia is it!

The moving crew was truly outstanding. Extremely polite and hard-working! It was a tough move with some unforeseen circumstances, but the crew stuck with us and got the job done. They went above and beyond, and I am very grateful.

Smoothly. Always arrived on time. Nothing was damaged or broken.

Let me tell you it was HOT with 100% humidity, but that did not stop Florin and his crew. All three of them worked hard and were efficient. In fact, even though we were not completely prepared when they arrived, they finished a half hour earlier than anticipated. They were polite, respectful of us, our property, and our home. They were also patient with us and fun to work with.

Today, I received my belongings, which were shipped on a cargo boat from Shanghai, China to the United States. I used Crown Relocation Services, and they used Olympia Moving to bring my belongings from the warehouse to my home. I would like to express my thanks and satisfaction with the service I received today. The delivery man - Kyle - was exceptional. He called to provide an approximate arrival time and arrived within thirty minutes of that time. Kyle unloaded and deposited the boxes in the proper locations. He was friendly, professional, and very polite throughout his time here. I appreciated his service. I am grateful that Olympia Moving hires top quality people who are not only skilled for their tasks but who are also personable, professional, and courteous while doing so.

The move went smoothly without any delays and the crew were good. I was able to move in a timely manner.

Everything from the estimate to the move process was great. Staff was punctual and courteous. They checked in with me several times. Moving foreman was great and had the same crew that moved me out move my belongings into my new home.

SHORT STORY: I will not do business with Olympia Moving & Storage again. I would STRONGLY recommend you look into Two Marines Moving (who I used for an in-home furniture move just this week...A++). If you are considering using Olympia, I strongly recommend you read some of the less favorable reviews ("C" ratings and lower) to determine if it'll be worth your time and effort to have to "chase" them about damage claims...because, in my and a few other cases, Olympia doesn't seem to have it's act together in that area. I paid $4313 for this move (including $191 for "full replacement" insurance). Given the total cost and the post-move "customer service" experience regarding my damage claim, it just wasn't worth it. ----- LONG STORY: - This was for a move in March 2017. 3 guys showed up. They seemed polite and nice overall. The packing _appeared_ to go well. On the next day, the move also _appeared_ to go well, overall. Over the course of the two days, I tipped them a total of $150--$50 each. - HOWEVER, after the last tip, and JUST BEFORE they left on the move-in day at our new house, I noticed (more like "caught") one of the movers messing around with one of the doors of our no-kidding antique French buffet (early 1800s). When I asked what he was doing, he said (quote) "Oh, this piece fell off the door, so I was just gluing it back on." I've learned over the years to practice patience...I told the guy "thanks for telling me, but don't try to do that..give the piece to me." He handed me the small piece of wood trim. I wrapped it in a small piece of bubble wrap and placed it on the buffet surface, intending to take care of it later. WELL, it turns out that when they moved the buffet, the glue the guy had used was some kind of tan-colored, foamy "expanding" epoxy or resin. After sitting for an hour, it had puffed up and hardened like concrete. The OTHER problem is that they hadn't just broken off that one small piece of wood trim from the front door...they had ALSO caused some damage elsewhere on the buffet (some split, broken wood in a corner)...and had also glued the OTHER areas as well. They conveniently forgot to tell me that. Even though I'd tipped 'em before the guy told me about the broken trim piece. Hey, you try to be nice to folks...and they still end up taking advantage of you. BUT THAT WASN'T ALL: As we unpacked, we noticed several odd, really bad, packing problems. In one situation, they had put a large, thick-walled glass vase--which happened to be a wedding gift from over 20 years ago--on the very BOTTOM of a box, and then packed other, miscellaneous HEAVY stuff on top of it. You guessed it: we unpacked a broken vase. In another situation--and I still DON'T KNOW WHY OR HOW THIS HAPPENED--when they moved a chest of drawers (which had a hand-knitted throw from my wife's late Grandma in the bottom drawer), they put a pair of gardening boots in the bottom drawer (you guessed it) right on top of my wife's knitted throw. Mind you, then gardening boots had previously been rinsed off...however, they were clearly "dirty" and should not have even ended up in the drawer of a bedroom furniture piece with the knitted throw...especially unwrapped and separated, as they were. Those boots had been in the garage...they weren't even in the bedroom where the chest was...so WHY did they end up in a chest drawer, on top of Grandma's knitted throw?! My wife & I were really ****** off by that. - They had also created a small hole (about the size of a silver dollar) in one of the walls. Our new house had JUST been freshly painted, the week before the move-in. - There was some other minor damage, that I can't recall right now. I properly, completely submitted a claim before the due date in late May. I also emailed photos and called to confirm the Claims Mgr's receipt of the claim and photos. - SEVERAL **MONTHS** WENT BY. ABSOLUTELY **NO** RESPONSE FROM OLYMPIA. I then called in August to inquire about the claim. The Claims Mgr (same guy I'd been speaking and dealing with) initially didn't seem to remember my claim. After providing him with my moving invoice # and some other details, he apparently located the details. He apologized for the delay, and said he'd put me in contact with a reputable, local-area furniture restoration company, regarding the French buffet. I then reiterated (REMINDED HIM) that there were also other aspects of my claim, and he said he understood...that he had not forgotten. - The restoration company (Shontere Restoration) contacted me on 6 Sep 2017, and I made arrangements for them to come out at the earliest possible opportunity (25 Sep 2017, which was 4 months after I initially filed my claim with Olympia). The Shontere repair guy was prompt, polite, and effective. He restored the piece to my satisfaction. He also took photos of the hole in the wall that the movers made, as well as of the broken glass vase, and the chest drawer and knitted throw where the garden boots USED TO be (obviously, my wife had me remove the gardening boots !!). He said Olympia would get back to me regarding the rest of my claim. - As of today (Thu, 29 March 2018), it HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS since I last heard from anyone at Olympia Moving & Storage (or anyone else) about our claim. My wife had been asking me about this for the last couple of months, so I told her I would call about it today. We are a military family, and had been through many, many moves before in the U.S. and overseas. She said, "This just isn't right! These people don't even follow-up unless you call them!" So, I called Olympia today. - I called the Claims Manager today. Same guy I'd dealt with before. I explained that it'd been an additional **6 months**, and was wondering when I'd receive news or settlement on the remainder of my claim. The guy initially said that I had only paid for the basic, 60 cents/pound level of insurance...which I KNEW to be incorrect. I had paid for the FULL insurance (and told him I had the paperwork for it). He then said something to the effect of (and I'm paraphrasing) "Oh, I see ... after subtracting the cost of what your **$250** deductible would be to you, we determined that the payout to you would've been less than your deductible, so we didn't send you a check. Sorry we didn't tell you earlier." I asked how his rationale could be even _remotely_ correct, given that I'd paid for coverage--and filed a claim--in order to have damage and errors FIXED. He then proceeded to explain using an incorrect analogy to car insurance. At that point, I was DONE with him and Olympia. I very politely explained that I would just post a factual review of the situation. KEY POINT - The following is an exact, verbatim quote from Olympia's insurance coverage brochure (filename "Information on Value Liability Coverage.pdf") that the "Move Coordinator" emailed to me on 2 May 2017, during the claims process. (quote) Option 1: Full Replacement Value Protection. This option covers repairs, replacement, or full reimbursement with no depreciation, minus the $100 deductible. The mover will pay for the full cost of repairs if damage occurs while in our care and custody, up to the dollar amount of valuation selected. If the item cannot be repaired, we will replace it exactly or with a like item if the exact item is no longer available. If the item cannot be repaired or replaced, we will pay you cash based on the current replacement cost pending proof of value, and AFTER APPLICATION OF THE DEDUCTIBLE." (unquote) - NOTE: according to Olympia's own brochure--the mentioned deductible for the FULL replacement value coverage is just $100...NOT $250 (??) as the Claims Mgr mentioned to me three times during my call to him today. I guess the Claims Mgr doesn't even know his own company's claims terms..??

Move was fine. We had a terrible experience trying to make a simple claim for a broken dresser. Their process indicates a two-day response time but we contacted them repeatedly with no response. The claim was finally settled but not in the way we would have ideally wanted. When we were deciding between Olympia (recommended by our realtor) and a local, reputable company, I asked our rep about the cost difference and he said, "You get what you pay for." Apparently we paid for shoddy post-move customer service and a very mediocre claims settlement. I would NEVER use this company again.

I needed a mover for a Washington, DC, 2 bedroom 1100 sqft condo who could also successfully move a very large camelback sofa down 4 floors either by way of a small elevator or a stairwell. I needed to feel confident that I hired a knowledgeable mover who knew which way it needed to go and how to do it without getting it stuck. If you’ve ever had the misfortune of movers getting a sofa stuck in an elevator, then you can understand my angst about making sure that never happened to me again. I chose Olympia Moving after their representative Lincoln explained their process clearly and then listened to my concerns and addressed every issue that I had worries about. He went over my inventory and all other moving details start to finish with ease and confidence and then I quickly had my estimate. Olympia has a great online portal where all the documents and inventory are kept and where you conveniently sign. I could go online and check and recheck all my move details at any time. Lincoln was very responsive to all my questions and not one time did I ever feel like I was in the dark about anything. On moving day, 3 movers, Joe, Ramos and Tyrone, arrived a few minutes early so no time was wasted for the guys to sum up what they were going to move. I am pretty organized and I had all my belongings boxed, labeled and color coded for arrival upstairs/downstairs. The beds were already taken apart and the small pieces were bagged and with me; leaving the movers to wrap the furniture and move a large quantity of boxes. They worked tirelessly and the move-out was finished in a couple of hours. Most importantly my sofa was successfully moved down 4 flights of stairs. The move-in to the townhouse went smooth also. They did an outstanding job. I highly recommend Olympia Moving company especially if communication and being organized is important to you. They definitely know what they are doing and can handle stressful situations professionally. My estimate was also right on target.

Although it was a rainy day, the move went smoothly. The movers arrived on time. Although we had a slight issue with parking because some residents didn't read the posted signs, the movers improvised and started working. This was great since I was being charged by the hour. The movers were professional, respectable and some of the nicest people I have met. They took great care with loading and unloading the furniture. I have heard horror stories that people have had with moving companies, but I had the BEST experience with Olympia. If I ever move again, Olympia will be my only choice!!
