They were frighteningly bad. I would tell anybody that ever asked me to run the other way. A two week job took six months. It had to be replaced four times. The owner screamed at me over the telephone. I wouldn't use them again even if my life depended upon it. In the end the job was close enough that I finally threw up my hands and walked away. It was pointless to keep going rounds with them.

They were reliable, and prompt. They were professional, and their pricing was competitive. I was pleased with the quality of their work, and I would definitely use them again.

The individual was supposed to meet me at my house at 4:00 pm for an estimate. After a half hour of waiting, I decided to leave. Only minutes after I left, the individual called me and asked me where I was. I responded and let him know that I had left because it was 4:30 and I had not heard from him. This individual then had the nerve to tell me that he had been waiting for me outside of the house for 15 minutes. After telling him that wasnt the case, this individual insisted that I was wrong. Simply put, the representative of this company that I dealt with was unprofessional, dishonest and untimely. I would not recommend using this company.

Terrible. The sales rep (Charlie Bridle) was supposed to come by the house to take measurements at 2:00 pm. He didn't arrive until 3:30. He was nice enough and took the measurements, but I have not heard anything from him since.

I've never dealt with better people. The quality of their work is outstanding. They were very patient because I wasn't sure of what I wanted. They were very helpful and made suggestions. Their office personel is also very helpful and accomodating. The installers were very helpful and polite.

The work was as expected, the time frame the work was done in was good. The price was about want I expected. Overall I am pleased. I have also recommend them to someone else.

The sales staff was very communicative. The estimate was met when the job was completed. Also, they finished the job in the allotted time.

Despite multiple calls to the company and my contact's cell phone, I was never given an actual estimate or a return phone call after our first meeting. They seemed great as we discussed the project I had in mind, but reliability was extremely poor. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

I called to get an estimate, and the estimator was prompt and professional. After selecting the products and styles, I placed the order and then they completed the installation a few weeks later. I was very happy with the products and installation, and they honored their promise to come back in warmer weather and touch up the paint. Overall I was very happy with Iron Kingdom and feel it was a good experience.

Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff, the quality of the product, how the look of the product fit with the look/design of the house, and so on. There was just one small aspect of the experience that frustrated me (to be noted at the end), and some of that was my fault. The salesman was very, very knowledgeable, he did a thorough assessment of my needs without me feeling pushed, he listened well, and he made a very good attempt to suggest products that fit the current design of my house as well as meeting my security needs. I knew that the price would be higher than competitors, but I had read in Angie's List that the quality was good, so I was willing to pay more. The delivery was within the estimated time quoted to me by the salesman, and they showed up when they said they would. The installation was quick and professional. The security doors and window treatments look great. Except for that one minor detail, we're very happy with the experience. The minor detail concerns the doggy door. If you're thinking about ordering one, triple check to make sure that it's big enough for your dog. As best I can recollect, the salesman had warned me that it was important to check to see if the doggy door was an appropriate size for the dogs, because the door was best for small dogs. Because I have two 30 lb. Basenjis, which are fairly small dogs on average, I didn't pay much attention to it, assuming that our small dogs would be able to use the door. (FYI, the salesman met our dogs during the sales meeting.) When the door arrived, I was stunned at how small the doggy door was. It was big enough for a cat and maybe a chihuahua. Only "toy" dogs can fit through that door reasonably comfortably. (I'm not aware whether there were size options on the doggy door.) I noted that I was displeased with the doggy door on the signed receipt and in a phone call to the company. They never responded. (My grades on responsiveness and professionalism would have been A's if not for this lack of response at the end of the installation.) Finally, I accept my share of the responsibility for not doing more checking before ordering the doggy door, as the salesman had recommended I do. It's just that, when you plunk down $4K for a product, you want to *love* every part of it. :-) If you think of ordering the doggy door, do your homework before finalizing the order.

The experience was very good. They make the door themselves. They were punctual, did a nice clean job and the salesman was very nice. I think they put the door up within 2-3 weeks of me calling them. They were a little higher than other people, but it was okay.

I had an excellent experience with Iron Kingdom. I was referred to Iron Kingdom through a friend who had had a positive experience on a smaller job several years ago. I worked primarily with Oliver Schreiber through the selection and design phase. Oliver was extremely patient with me. I felt like I needed security doors because my townhouse had a lot of glass entries, but I did not want something that was tacky, excessively ornate, or out-of-date. While I ended-up spending more than I initially had contemplated, Oliver helped me find the right doors and window guards with mullions that, in my mind, actually improved the overall appearance of the house. (He had a book of a number of different options that I could choose from and even showed me a small size version of one of their doors). Throughout this project, Oliver met with me several times and always returned my calls and emails immediately. He was very understanding when I wanted to make changes to the design and had all the designs drawn out for my approval. (Basically, he realized that I was very particular, and he could not have been more accommodating). I actually had gotten an estimate from another company before I met with Iron Kingdom. While their price was lower, I was not at all happy with their designs. I was presented with limited options and was told that certain things could not be done (which it turns out was not true). For example, Oliver was able to have window guards designed that were french-door style so that when they opened-up the doors did not swing out too far (I had limited space). If I went with that company, I was just going to have to accept ugly doors and window guards as a price of living in the city. The salesperson was also gruff and matter-of-fact about the whole thing. Anyway, I could not be happier with the overall look and experience. I would recommend Iron Kingdom and Oliver to all my friends. My townhouse looks great and I now have a greater sense of security with these new doors and window guards.

They said they would get back to me and never did. I called them and faxed information twice. Twice they said they would call back and never did. They sounded busy.
