Description of Work: I needed all the insulation removed from my attic, the attic needed to be sanitized, all holes sealed, and then filled with new blown insulation.

Description of Work: My downspout blew off my house. I contacted three companies from the yellow pages. Connors Construction was the only company that responded. Carter Plemmons, consultant, called immediately and scheduled an appointment He was congenial and very thorough. Mike Hayes, the manager. called to say he was finishing a job in the district and would be at my house shortly after 6:30 pm, which he did. He lives in Ashburn He was also professional and congenial. He saved me money by reinstalling my original downspout which he found to be in good shape Connor's Construction, Springfield, VA.

+ -1 moreIt went very poorly. While Connor's began work almost immediately after the problems were identified, they failed to complete the work on several occasions. After Connor's told us that the work was done, we hired an inspector to confirm this. Connor's agreed that the work had not been completed properly and did a second round of work. Connor's again stated the work was complete. There were substantial shortcomings both in the scope and quality of work (for example, they did not pocket joists in the masonry, remove temporary supports, or properly sister damaged joists as described in the agreed upon work plan). This was repeated five times! Connor's eventually finished the work (for the agreed upon price) but it took much longer, required many more visits, and was a huge headache. They appeared to cut corners with the belief that no one would check their work.
Description of Work: Connor's construction agreed to replace or repair several termite-damaged floor joists that were discovered during our home inspection. This involved removing temporary floor supports, sistering or replacing damaged joists, pocketing joists in masonry, and securing all joists with bolts. They developed a written scope of work, anticipated time line for completion and cost estimate.
