Best Landscape arrived on time and was very thorough in the work performed. They did a good job on the follow-up to ensure that i was pleased. I would use them again.

Abel showed up for the estimate on time and gave me a quote on the spot. I had gotten another estimate from another angie's list provider and their quote was almost three times as much. His crew did a fantastic job. There was a slight mis-communication on how the steps were to be done. But it was corrected quickly and exceeded my satisfaction. I will definitely be using them again.

They did an excellent job. I would hire them again.

Wonderful! Crew showed up one day later than planned due to rain. Started promptly and completed all work in two days. Crew was quiet and polite. The owner, is very easy to reach and is very professional. Price was moderated compared to other quotes we received.

Abel was very responsive and called back quickly. He and his crew kept all appointments (which is almost unheard of among contractors). We had two jobs that we hired Abel for: patching our crumbling concrete steps and cleaning up the front garden. Both were big jobs and a single person worked on each. They started early and worked right on through until it was done. I was very impressed. Also, when something was left undone, they came back at the first possible opportunity to complete it. I would definitely hire Abel again.

They had two to three guys working. One worked really hard and the other two didn't work too hard. The job wasn't finished at the end of the day. The guys were complaining that I said something. The two guys went out to lunch and the other guy stayed working. The boss came back and asked why the job wasn't done and I told them that they were not working and just talking. The little details weren't well done. The drainage that was put around back was not packed with dirt and there were holes. I called to have them to fix it. He came out and fixed it.

It went well. Abel and his crew (Juan and Antonio) did a very good job of cleaning up my back yard and making it look nice.

I left several messages before I actually got to have a conversation with the owner. Finally, I was able to schedule an appointment for him to come out & discuss my project. He was on time for the appointment & we discussed everything that I wanted done. He took as much time as was needed to discuss the project, there was no rush. Also he made suggestions, which were very helpful, to my plans. Before he left, a start date was set for my project. He asked me to make necessary revisions, to my project, based on our meeting & email the revisions to him. The crew came out on the date agreed upon. There were 2 crew workers & their boss. The 2 crew members worked from 8:30 a.m. to approx. 4:00 p.m. or 7.5 hours each. And the boss (who also helped) was there from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or 5.5 hours, which included lunch. Also I was charged $15 for misc. supplies. They removed 2 shrubs from one of the flower beds. They weeded & prepared the soil in both flower beds so that plants could be planted. I assisted them with where I wanted the different flowers planted. After planting 11 plants, they laid the weed barriers. They mulched both flowers beds, plus 1 other plant & 2 trees. They also trimmed 2 existing evergreens. They washed & re-laid the brick edging around the flower beds. Then, they thoroughly watered new plants. They loaded all trash on their truck & took it with them. The mulch & other supplies were kept in my basement & some of the bags were leaking. They made sure the basement floor was cleaned up of all spilled supplies; nothing was left for me to clean up. The 2 crew members had a very good attitude. When they were in their truck & ready to leave, I felt that 2 of the trees really needed more mulch around them. They got out of their truck & opened another bag & put more mulch around the trees. I wanted to be pleased with the job & not have to say later "I wish I had asked them to use more mulch." So, I just had it done while they were still here. They worked very well as a team. They did a very good job. I am very pleased. I have to say, "A Job Very Well Done."

3 men showed up on a very hot day and worked non-stop for two days. They checked for level ness of walkway area before laying pavers. They were friendly and only took a break for lunch, which I bought them the second day as they had not brought their own. The owner, Mr Abel Rivas, stopped by the second day before pavers were laid to ensure they were the correct ones and in the pattern I had selected. He had also stayed in touch with me before the project began to help me select pavers and color. And he came by with samples beforehand to ensure they were the ones I wanted. After the pavers were laid, I noticed that the seam at the porch steps and the pavers was open. I asked Mr Rivas to return to caulk or otherwise fill this area. Which he did, altho it took two tries before he returned. He also power washed the rear concrete stoop steps at no additional charge. I am happy with the new walkway which has improved the curb appeal of my house. It has rained several times since installation and the walkway appears to be secure and draining properly.

We began the service with Best Landscape & Contractors with Angies Big List Deal for $599 for 18 hrs. We were so please with Mr. Abel Rivas and his crew that we decided to have further work performed. So, in addition to the first date of service, 4/16/15, we scheduled 5/3/15 to have the project extended. We ran into scheduling conflicts on the 2nd date which were as much our delay as theirs, but it worked out fine. We are very pleased. Mr. Abel Rivas was very responsive to work with and his crew was very diligent and meticulous.

Abel brought two men to do the work. This equaled 8 hours each for the two men. They arrived on time and we walked around the house to go over what needed to be done. Nothing in the yard had been touched since last fall. They went to work and stopped for a reasonable time to take lunch. They finished everything I had for them to do in about 7 hours. They did not rush but took their time to make sure things were done right. I am not sure if the price was reasonable compared with other companies, but it was well worth it for me. They did in one day what would have taken me several days of back-breaking work to do. I am very pleased with the outcome.

Abel and his staff were prompt, polite and professional. The work they did was meticulous and high quality. They cleaned up really well, and when there was a small error, Abel made it right immediately. We recommend them without reservation.

Communication with the owner was excellent. He was very prompt. His workers cleaned up very well. Everything was cleaned to my satisfaction. The workers were polite and did a good job. I was very satisfied.

Contractor's design and performance was good. There was some rework in the concrete scope, which was probably caused by lack of communication as much on my part. He made the corrections very satisfactorily and quickly. The property value improvement received was greater than the cost.

The mortar had almost completely disintegrated from the bricks leading to my basement. Best Landscape had an Angie's List "deal" that I purchased to get the mortar repaired and/or replaced. Once Best Landscaping evaluated the situation, we decided that all the mortar needed to be removed - it was in bad shape and only going to get worse. It was initially difficult to get an appointment scheduled but, once the work was done, I was extremely pleased. The new mortar looks better than the old ever did and, now that it's sealed, no water is getting into my basement. Best Landscaping solved my problem in a professional, competent manner.

Other than some confusion of the date of the the first appointment, the rest of the process went well. The quality of the work looks good and I appreciated the call to check whether I satisfied with the work prior to sending the final invoice.

I have an older home where the yard needed grading/drainage, a good bit of hardscaping work (large concrete patio and concrete walkway) as well as tuck pointing the front brick wall. Abel from Best Landscape was attentive, had reasonable solutions, and a reasonable estimate. After I got estimates from 3 other companies, I decided on Best Landscape because I got the impression that Abel was an honest contractor. Able and his crew completed the work as timely as the weather would allow. The crew was courteous and cleaned up after the work was done. I am pleased with the hardscaping and improvement in the drainage - the goal was to make the yard more functional and this was accomplished. When spring comes, I will hire Best Landscape again to put in flower beds, etc.

Overall, the job was completed beautifully. Had slight communication problems with workers onsite. Job turned out very well and if I had any issues, Able addressed the issue right away and rectified it. He addressed issues in a professional way. Very pleasant to work with.

Poor communication! Finally came out to do an estimate which was more than double of two others! He also added more to the list I did not want done. I gave him the chance to remove the extra items he added to the list and give me a new estimate. I never heard from him again by phone or email! I cant stand or tolerate rude business! I do not recommend at all! First time Angies list was wrong in the reviews!

They did a PHENOMENAL job. I was very pleased. I wanted them back this weekend but my father is sick. I am going to have them back in the spring when the ground is not so hard and have them finish pulling up ground cover and plant some small boxwoods for me and other plants. I would highly recommend the. They were very responsive and answered any and all questions. Answered emails within 24 hours.

I had to reschedule. Some misunderstanding about rescheduled date. Did not appear. I decided, I did not need the service, but they were good about contacting me about follow-up on a third date.

Excellent. Worker's arrived when said that they would and did exactly what was asked. I was very pleased with their work.

They came out and looked at the work. We tried to get an estimate with a cost break down. We have been trying to get him to call us back with this information. He won't return to our phone calls or emails.

My yard had become an overgrown jungle. I hired Best Landscaping to do clean up. It was a very big job. The owner got in touch with me quickly and the work was completed within a week. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the worker who actually did the job. But, he is a miracle worker! He did a beautiful job of cleaning out a years worth of weeds. Trimmed overgrown hedges, cleaned vines off of a chain link fence, edged everything, and on and on. The work was done quickly and thoroughly. No mess was left behind. I could not be happier with the work. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I plan to get back in touch with them to do mulching, mowing and clean out another area.

It was difficult for us to get a hold of him, and there were extra costs that didn't work out for us.
