American Professional Chimney & Masonry

We needed a sweep done due to a home sale inspection. We needed it quickly as we were relocating and American Professional did exactly what was required. Prompt, inexpensive, responsive and no upsell. Wouldn't use them only because we moved (unless they travel to California!) but I would highly recommend them to anyone local in Maryland!

I purchased an on line coupon for this work for my rental unit. I sent a note to the provider and informed them that my tenant would be calling and scheduling the appointment. They worked well with my tenant and my tenant was happy with their services and clean up afterwards. All I had to do was click a few buttons and send an email. Easy-peasy, all landlords love that!

They were great even on price. They were careful not to make a mess and they were professional. They knew what they were doing. We haven't used the chimney's yet.

They are a very good company. They are highly rated that I got from Angie’s List. They are very good and very smart. Their value is very good because I got another estimate from one of companies and they were twice as much. The project has been running for may be 10 days right now. They haven’t been working every day. They couldn’t work in the rain and so they came on every Sunday. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I can't quite remember the cost but I do remember that the services were mostly performed as called for. Unfortunately it was a really windy day when they came out so they were unable to inspect the chimney from the top. I would use them again and maybe this time they will be able to inspect the top.

They came out to complete the work but were unable to when they did the estimate more extensive work needs to be done. So did not do the deal at this time.

Unable to perform service to due to me have a furnace chimney, not a fire chimney . They were great!

The damper was a problem and has been for years. They replaced it and at the difference in the room is remarkable.

I went ok. I was told from another company that the chamber needs to be parched but American Professional Chimney & Masonry didn’t say anything about that to me. They said that this is a safety issue.

I had purchased a big deal for the service, and they were fine. There was no extra charge. The price seemed normal for the market, and they were very punctual.

Fantastic! The weather had been below freezing for a while, but we needed to get this completed before a move-out. The man was awesome, kept an eye on the temperature, and contacted me as soon as the temperature was right to do the job!

The service worked out perfectly. The guy was great. He came out and did his job. He showed up on time and he was professional. He did not overcharge me more than the $119 Big Deal charge. He cleaned up after himself.

The representative told me that it didn't seem as if the fireplace had been used, and that I should call to get a refund for part that was for cleaning. He checked chimney and noted a small pulling away of the flashing to mention to contractor. Extremely honest and professional.

The people that came to the house were wonderful, but dealing with the office was atrocious. I called and it took awhile to get in touch with someone in the office. Once I did, they told me to go online and reserve an appointment. It asked me to put my best dates and times in. They decided to pick a date and time I submitted without informing me. They called the night before and left a message about when they were coming. At that late in the game, I wasn't able to be around for the service so we had reschedule. The work was done well though.

This was an AL deal for $150. I needed a cap over one chimney we never ,use as critters set up a nest every year and make a lot of noise before they final get their babies out into the world. They responded quickly and installed the cap. They left a detailed list of repairs they felt were needed on both chimneys but not a word about how dirty the flues were. I did not request this quote of other work, but I guess they were looking for more business and it was good to know about these issue. I actually wanted them to clean out on chimney we use often while they were here but they drove off before I could talk to them. Left bill and they got in car and left. I had prepaid for this deal so no money needed to be paid at the time. I need to get it done some time. They seemed to want to get the other business and were not interested in me when I seemed not interested. I thought about calling them back but figured I missed the opportunity to get a better dal while they were here.

They are a great company. They were not able to do my original job, but they were able to do other work on the exterior of my chimney. I was very impressed with their work and I would definitely recommend this company to other members.

Honest and thorough at a great price. What more would you want?

While scheduling was OK and they were responsive, they didn’t do the job and didn’t give me back my money after they indicated they would do this or issue a credit.

The contractors, Manual and Pedro arrived on time, both were professional and considerate. Although the job was minimal, I appreciated that Manuel also took the extra time in accessing my roof to evaluate that the chimney was completely in good repair. All my additional questions were patiently answered. The job was left clean and orderly. Yes, I will hire them again. Additionally, I consider that time taken by the company to respond courteously to all reviews, indicates a commitment to the customer.
