It went very well. I did go ahead with the recommended service and am very happy with the results.

The provider responded promptly and office staff and work crew were very professional. There was a delay in getting the right size "brick" replacement but once that was settled the crew came and did the install. They were very clean and did the job in good time. The fireplace is working very well.

The 2 man crew arrived on time and quickly and efficiently cleaned the chimney and stove pipes. They made substantial use of a vacuum cleaner to carefully prevent the creosote and soot from soiling the carpets and furniture.

Some of the information regarding the repairs that they wer discussing was conflicting with the boiler function (it is a shared chimney). I got the feeling that the recommended repairs were not necessary - over 2 years later - it is still working fine with no issues.....

Swept chimney for one of my listings (I'm a Realtor). As expected, recommended additional chimney work which we opted not to purchase. Would use in the future, but keep in mind most chimney sweep services will result in recommended add on work.

The work was performed quickly. I did not feel as though they were looking for problems to add to the expense. They were personable and polite. Photos were taken of a problem I have on my chimney, due to a past bad repair by another company. I will use their company to repair this.

Only thing and this is picky, The Office lady was in a bad mood when she left a message and when I talked to her. They guys were great.

Cleaning and inspection went fine, but gave a quote to repair a problem that he couldn't explain and when he pulled up pictures of what he was trying to explain, said "well, you can't see it here, but it is there." Would have liked to have him better explain the work that would be done rather than just "the chimney needs some repairs" - explanations were not detailed enough.

Provider showed up on time; performed chimney sweep and made recommendations for repairs of two fireplaces, which I did not go forth with. Chimney sweep was completed quickly and I would recommend or utilize them for the same service in the future.

American Professional Chimney & Masonry was excellent. They arrived on time. They finished quickly. They were very thorough and efficient. They vacuumed and cleaned the firebox first and then went outside to do the chimney as well. They were extremely courteous and friendly as well. I purchased their cleaning and inspection package for $119, so I knew the price upfront. The estimate for the repairs to the chimney include removing the clay tiles and replacing the liners for both the furnace and the fireplace. In addition the mortar needs to be repointed. They will have to parge the chimney cap and fix the concrete at the damper and reseal it as well. The estimate comes in at $5000, which I feel is pretty high. I intend to have a couple more estimates beforehand to determine a reasonable range.

I needed a chimney inspection for a potential home purchase, and American Professional Chimney & Masonry answered the phone on Saturday and had two guys at the house on Monday. There wasn't a speck of dust when they left, and they did a great job documenting the inspection in writing and with photos. They also made us aware of some issues with the roof that the home inspector didn't catch. They were friendly, competent, and professional.

They found that a lot of work needed to be done to our chimney before we were able to use the fireplace. Their service was great and they were very helpful and informative. In the end we ended up using a different company to do the work that needed to be done to our chimney because the competing company's price was lower.
