The service provided by this company was great. My Chimney has not been cleaned in over 2 years and I knew it was time. The technicians were prompt, professional and used protective gear on their shoes and my floors while cleaning my chimney. I have added this company to my list of service providers that I will use in the future. Thanks American Professional Chimney and Masonry for a job well done!!

We had some communication issues in the beginning. I had scheduled the chimney sweep/inspection for the 19th. I never got a call and no one came. When I called, the receptionist said that they did not get my scheduling request made through Angie's list, even though I had received a confirmation e-mail. I'm not sure if that was true of if the receptionist just said that to cover for their error. In any case, we rescheduled the appointment and they were very prompt and professional from that point on. Overall it was a good experience except for the original "miscommunication."

This provider would've been given an A however on 2 occasions when I scheduled the appointment and was verified by a phone call both times that someone would be there to service between a time slot, one was a phone call at the end of the day past the time slot to say that the serviceman would not be able to make and I had to reschedule. Then the day that was rescheduled, it was a 'no-show' and I had to call after waiting the entire 3 hour slot plus another hour just in case and then called and left a message that the serviceman could not make it again. So these were the 2 occasions and I said if there was a 3rd incident like this then I would want a refund but after the 3rd scheduled attempt, they were there to provide the service. Other than that, they came in, did their job, and no issues, all was good.

A two person crew arrived at 9:00 a.m. as scheduled. After a brief discussion on what the job entailed, they proceeded to clean the fireplace and chimney. Two hours later, after the job was completed, they cleaned up the area around the fireplace. I was informed that the clay flute tile extensions were broken. (This explained why when I turned on the heat in the past; I would smell fumes in the basement and on the main level. I had assumed it was due to the lack of ventilation and opened more windows in the basement). They also pointed out that the furnace and hot water heater flute system was not connected properly and needed to be updated. I accepted the proposal for this job because I live in a 98 year house which was a foreclosed property that sat vacant for over 3 years. I knew that I needed the work done and was pleased with their prior work. On March 13, 2015, Alexander and his father performed the following: installation of a new stainless steel liner for the furnace and hot water heater connected the venting properly, installed two new flute tile extensions and the installation of a new steel rain cap animal guard. This job took four hours to complete. I?m happy to report 8 months later, I do not smell fumes when I turn on the heat. They also recommended that I go to my local hardware store and purchase a carbon monoxide detector for the basement and main level of the house, which I did. I?m pleased with the job performed and will recommend APC&M to my family and friends.

The service provider actually showed up early to the appointment. The service was very quick and thorough.

Very polite and efficient. Explained masonry work that need to be done and gave me an estimate. Left my home clean and dust free.

Fantastic all around services. The Chimney sweep/inspection was extremely thorough and provided a detailed itemized list of issues and cost for various repairs. I waited several months to contract to have the repair work done but when I did they honored their quote; crews arrived on time completed the work in one day in a workman like and professional manor. Office staff was extremely helpful and responsive in scheduling the work and handling payment.

On time, followed through, left no mess.

They called me again to asked for my email,,, so I could approved the estimate! BUT I ALREADY SIGNED THE CONTRACT. They promised to came to the house on 11/20/15 to perform the job....never to be see or hear again. I called 3 times more and always the same answer 'we will send you an email for me to sign'. No email THE JOB PROBABLE WAS TO SMALL FOR THEM, ONLY THE CROWN MASONRY NEEDED TO BE DONE.

Perfect ! The two gentlemen that came out were prompt and very friendly and professional. They did a nice job with the cleaning and left zero mess behind. They inspected the chimney and found some cracking in the brick. The gave me an estimate and I will be using them in the future for the repairs.

Quick to schedule, showed up on time. Not sure if they did everything they were supposed to do. I don't think they went up on the roof like they were supposed to in order to inspect the outside of the chimney. They did clean the inside of the fire place etc.

Fine. They called ahead of time to note arrival time. They were cordial and courteous, protected the carpets, finished the job and cleaned up as expected.

Second year in a row we used this company to do a chimney sweep. Professional and they do a great job of cleaning up after themselves.

After getting our chimney cleaned by the American Professional Chimney and Masonry Service this fall, we learned that it needed a lot of work. The work took two and a half days, but the guys were fantastic - friendly, professional, careful to keep our house clean and letting us know what they were doing. They even went above and beyond by installing the new fireplace doors I had purchased on-line and hauling off the old ones! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their chimney serviced, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future.

Communication with provider was prompt and they arrived right on time. The cleaning and inspection took only a few minutes and they provided a detailed proposal about further work that need to be done. The proposal and price seemed fair and we are still considering it. Workers were clean and tidy, put everything back in its proper place and were pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend, especially if you knew masonry work had to be done.

Very prompt and professional

This company exhibits poor professional behavior. Who call's at 10:30pm on Sunday night to confirm an appointment for 9am the next day? And, arriving 3 hours after you say you will arrive is generally poor form.

Although I hated to spend the money, the work done was perfect. From the front office to the actual work done inside and outside my home, I could ask for nothing better. I live in an old town home in Georgetown and neighbors noticed how polite and tidy the workers were. Inside my home they performed messy work for over two weeks and we never noticed. Our home was left spotless at the end of each day.The workers took pride in their craft, you could tell. So the work is done and I have paid my bill in full. I give my highest recommendation to this company.

They communicated the time of the appointment the night before, they arrived on time, they were very tidy, and they provided me with an estimate with pictures of the work that needed to be done in the future on my chimney. I was very satisfied and would recommend them to my friends.

Jose and Alonso arrived on time and were polite and professional. I feel that they did an excellent job. They took photos of the chimney before and after the work was done.
