I made a Big Deal purchase with them. They quoted me for $5000 for chimney sweep and safety inspection but they didn't do it because I really didn't need it because I told them I didn't really burn it. I just wanted to know if they could install something to make the air not come down and then he went and looked and did what he had to do but he didn't have to clean or anything like that, so it really turned out to be an estimate. They were good and they were thorough; they just didn't have to do anything. They were on time and very professional.

It went fine. It turned out very well. They did a thorough cleaning and showed me pictures of things I need to get fixed. They were very nice. Overall they were really good. They didn't charge me anything extra, they just wrote up the additional work that needs to be done and pricing for that. 2 people came to do it and it took about 30 minutes to complete it. Everything was left clean. They actual laid out a blanket, because I have a little baby, so they laid out a blanket so they wouldn't leave a mess.

Well, but the estimate for repairs seems high. I haven't gotten a second oppinion yet, but my complete lack of experience or reference gives me the right to be upset.

Workers were on time and appeared to do a good job. I also appreciated that they were very respectful of my space and were careful to do a very dirty job on a way that did not leave my living room a mess. I expected and do receive a recommendation from them to do follow up work. I the estimate for the additional work was staggering so I will certainly seek a second opinion before proceeding. I appreciate that a representative of the company followed up but did not give me a hard sell.

Employee stated I needed a new chimney due to it moving away from the house. I got several other opinions and each said I just needed to have the chimney resealed. They tried to charge me $35K!!!!

Could not have been better! Extremely neat, efficient, friendly, professional and on time! Would definitely call them again and recommend without hesitation!.

They arrived on time (actually a little early) and immediately set to work. They worked quickly and cleanly. After dropping a camera down the chimney, they showed me examples of what needed to be fixed. A proposal was given immediately and then followed up with an email.

They were on time, even on a day I wasn't sure they would be able to come due to weather. They were professional and made sure not to leave a mess. The only thing I did not like was that they recommended lots of additional services. Not sure if they are truly needed or if it was just an upsell. Would hire again, for cleaning but will get a second opinion prior to agreeing to have any work done.

I have used American Professional Chimney for several years to clean the chimney liner from my boiler. They clean from the boiler exhaust and from the top of the chimney. They are always timely, professional, and respectful of my home. They have never left a mess in my basement. I will use them again next fall and highly recommend them.

They showed up on time, did their job, cleaned after themselves and left. Uneventful, just like a good service should be.

I had my chimney swept and the two gentlemen did a good job in an efficient manner. I also asked them to give me an estimate for some brick work on the chimney which they obliged. They were careful to cover the rug and left no traces! I was very happy with their service.

They arrived within the expected time window and completed the chimney sweeping and inspection. They were very professional. They took photos and videos of our chimney to demonstrate some very significant damages requiring repair and provided an estimate for the work. We got a second opinion from another Angie's List company which confirmed the scope of work, but came in with a lower estimate. As a result, we didn't hire this company for the repair. My rating for cost and quality is based on the price paid for inspection and chimney sweep only.

They arrived after the window they gave, the sun had set and it was done in a very speedy way. Not sure they were able to inspect the chimney since it was dark.

Everything went very well. Technicians were prompt and courteous. They laid tarp cover over the carpet and kept everything clean during the service.

At first the manager, Catherine, was responsive to my request to have 2 fireplaces in one townhouse inspected rather than cleaned, as the $89 coupon was for cleaning. The inspection was scheduled the same day as the home inspection was being performed. The workers showed up on time and related to the home inspector, my realtor, my designer and me that the main fireplace was in good shape but there was something odd about the upper fireplace that he couldn't explain in English so he would have his boss call us. We all understood his oral report to be that the main fireplace was functional and operable, so we didn't raise the issue with the seller. We assumed an inspection report would be forthcoming but weren't worried because the assessment made on the premises After I bought the home and moved in, I wanted to proceed with putting gas logs into main fireplace, I called the company to get the inspection report. A few days later -- 6 weeks after the inspection -- Catherine emailed me a proposal for lining the fireplace and an estimate of $4100. When I called her, she explained this was the inspection report -- even without pictures or descriptions of what was wrong with the main fireplace -- the list of charges for the installation of a new liner was supposed to serve as my inspection report. I explained that we had received an initial report that everything is fine and relied upon that spoken report. She maintained my realtor should have called for the written report. We talked at length and she said she would get back to me. That was over a week ago. I wanted an inspection and got one, albeit incomplete. But the follow up report was a proposal for $4100 of work. A frustrating experience but maybe Angie's List coupons aren't the best introduction to a company's work.

Service was performed on time and at the cost listed.

No problems, actually came earlier than my scheduled appointment.

They were able to view and show me th the chimney didn't need cleaning. They had trouble lighting the fireplace and keeping it lit. I was told a supervisor would come out but they never did. Feel like i paid $89 for someone to take a picture of my chimney. The tech said he didn't have the right equipment anyway to clean it and acted annoyed that it was a gas fireplace.
