Getting your work prioritized is a great idea. Often times some of the work is to protect your chimney from adverse weather. Other times it could be a safety issue. Depending on the severity and the variety of the conditions we find, you may decide to get the chimney working properly first or you may opt to not use the chimney for a while and do the repairs that protect it from the weather. Description of Work: They set up our chimney cleaning on one of our preferred dates, they were on time and my husband was very pleased with their work. They made recommendations about getting a new woodstove and lining the chimney but weren't pushy about it. They left our house quite clean - and even cleaned our current woodstove. Overall, we were quite happy.

Description of Work: Clean chimney, replace damper, seal crack in concrete cap, remove crumbling brick from back wall of fireplace and replace with fire brick. | |I had several visits and a couple of different work crews involved to do all the work. They were courteous, professional, and were very careful to keep the house clean. I think the price was good and the work needed to be done; it looks good, looking forward to making good use of the fireplace this winter.

Thanks for speaking with me about the difficulties you had in regard to having a rain cap that blew off installed. Since were there doing a chimney cleaning the guys definitely should've installed it at no charge without hesitation. I'm glad it got resolved while they were there and you were not charged. Incidentally the date you entered in your review for the service was incorrect. It happened four months ago. They were reprimanded at that time by Catherine, the manager.
