Very good. They arrived on time, did a thourough examination, gave me an estimat. They came back the next day to gave me a written estimate. I will hire them do to the job.

It was done quickly and efficiently. We discovered that we had one area in the fireplace that would not meet code but it is easily fixed and we plan to have the work done soon.

Terrible. There does not appear anything professional about American Professional Chimney and Masonry (APCM). I completed an online request to schedule a fireplace inspection. I included detailed information (i.e. date home built, make and model of existing fireplace and usage=none). APCM responded by email at 11:00PM and we confirmed the inspection over the next day or so exchanging several emails to accomplish this. No sooner than APCM entered our home, the tech indicated that APCM typically recommend replacing fireplaces older than 25 years. Certainly, if this is APCM policy, they could have disclosed this over any number of emails exchanged when setting up the appointment. So, APCM proceeded to take measurements in order to give us an estimate to replace the fireplace. Therefore, the $75 inspection fee was actually converted to the fee for obtaining an estimate, which is a complete rip-off! Why would anyone pay for an estimate? Further, APCM misrepresented the scope of work indicating that in addition to the mantle, the entire wall (brick-front) had to be removed. Despite the fact that Marco Mfg fireplaces are all but discontinued, our 36” fireplace would not require the removal of the wall surrounding the mantle and for APCM to inflate the scope of work is not only dishonest but unprofessional. APCM gave us an estimate of $6,000 to replace what is equivalent to a $500 fireplace. I contacted APCM prior to posting this negative comment and they refused to respond. Rosemary Hainey, Esq.

Allowed us to get a 2nd opinion as the job was going to be pricey. The 2nd chimney company was in agreement, so we okayed the job with American Professional. They were punctual, clean, and fast. We can't wait to use our fireplace next winter.

Great! The repair guys came in, evaluated the issue, and found that a very large (18"x12"x6") concrete stone was cemented onto the chimney ledge where the smoke is supposed to rise through. It was blocking about 85% of the chimney. They removed the stone, replaced the damaged bricks and cleaned everything up afterwards. We are now able to enjoy our fireplace without smoking up our home.

Received estimate on 7/25/2017 Power washing chimney on 7/26 Tuck pointing and rest of work on 7/28 Each day, workers showed up at times promised, office was in contact with me. This company is well organized and the workers are friendly and did an excellent job. They showed me before- and after pictures of the work. They also hosed out the rain gutters where debris fell down from the chimney and cleaned the ground below. I am pleased that I found them and highly recommend this company.

Did good job of matching faded mortar fairly closely (though not perfectly). Showed up on time and worked for a day and a half on two of the hottest days of the summer. Pleased with work and price.

Very well. Two man team(sweep and an apprentice) came and inspected three fireplaces and exterior chimneys. Cleaned what was needed and gave recommendations on what needed repaired. Very neat and professional.

Excellent service and quality of work. Fireplace and chimney cleaned thoroughly. Inspection was honest and nothing was suggested. Cable to chimney cap snapped while closing it and they replaced it for free. Will definitely hire again.

seemed very thorough. Howard was very knowledgeable & kind. Unfortunately, he recommended that I reline the chimney and couple miscellaneous things which I intend to do as soon as I get them back back to the house. I am looking forward to getting the chimney ready for winter.
