"Thanks for the warm comments. Our prices are usually very competitive, but if you do receive a lower bid, be sure to call us. We can usually match other bids. Also keep in mind our Super service Awards in 8 different categories in 2013, the result of our doing everything within our power to provide the very best in customer service. Thanks again, Dave Myers, owner"

"I'm sorry you were not as pleased as most of our clients. In homes that are over 40 or 50 years old, it is not unusual for us to recommend renovations such as relining or smoke chamber parging. If we see defects, we are obliged to mention them. As for the pictures, we are more than happy to come out and video or photograph your chimney for you. I'll double check, but I'm sure we don't specifically mention photos on our coupons, but thanks for mentioning that they would have made a difference to you. As for as the pricing goes, If you contact other Super Service Award winning companies, I think you will find our prices fairly low. There are one or two companies with lower review ratings that do bid low. Thanks for your comments, Dave Myers, owner"
"I love to hear the guys were "excellent all the way around." Catherine and I put our hearts and souls into our work and we're lucky to have such great support from our amazing employees.... and our amazing customers!!! Thanks so much, Dave Myers, owner"

"Prompt, quick and no mess! Thanks for the great review. Dave Myers, owner"
"Thanks for the good review scores despite the higher price. I will review the prices we provided you and see if the estimates were utilizing the same approach and included similar scopes of work. Some of our estimates include drywall, painting, etc. and some are for exterior vs interior French drains. Thanks again for the review and the "heads up" on our pricing. We do everything we can to keep our prices competitive and I will certainly do what I can to match a competitors quote, when it is lower. Dave Myers, owner"
"After reading your review, I tried calling you, but never got a response. Our bid was $17,000.00 not over $20,000.00. I sent Brian back to look at the deterioration of your chimney exterior again and then drove by to view it myself. I think Brian's appraisal - that the wisest approach is to either replace the chimney entirely or save your money until you do replace it, is the best approach, I tried to contact you, but never got a return call. Brian gets almost entirely A reviews and is a conscientious and talented individual. His assessment, that spending a few thousand dollars every few years in continued patching of flaking brick and to reline a chimney that is waterlogged and has hundreds of crumbling brick from the top down (about 20 feet) is not a prudent expenditure of money and that you are better off not using the chimney until you can replace all or most of it, makes sense. Anybody who disagrees is not giving you good advise for the long term use of your money. Ultimately you will need to replace your chimney, whether you opt for patching it now or not.. Understandably, most people believe that if 2 companies suggest one approach and a third suggests a different approach, the 2 in agreement are correct. If their approach is less expensive, price also influences this perception. As unnatural as it feels, there is about a 1 in 3 chance that the different approach is a wiser expenditure of your money. It is very rare for us to bid on entirely replacing a chimney.Neither Brian nor I would suggest it if it were not in your best interest. Thanks for the review. Reviews like yours are reminders of all of our sensitivities to getting huge estimates. Brian and I have since discussed ways of explaining the deterioration process of waterlogged brick chimneys and their future needs in such a way to not offend or disturb our prospective clients and still leave them correct;y informed. For more information on the deterioration of brick. known as spalling, you may want to contact the Chimney Safety Institute of America in Plainfield, Illinois. Thanks again, Dave Myers"
"Thanks for the wonderful review. I am delighted you chose us and equally our crew performed impeccably. Dave Myers, owner"
"Thank you so much for leaving a wonderful review on our company. We try our very best to provide service worthy of your patronage. Dave Myers, owner"
"Thanks for the great review. Just to clarify, you need a new chase cover which is different from a chimney cap. A chase cover is the steel covering of the entire wood framed structure surrounding your metal chimney. The top of a chase can be anywhere from 4 feet long by 2 feet wide to over 10 feet long by 3 feet wide. The chase cover not only covers the entire top of the chase, it over laps all 4 sides by 4 inches and has a hole in the center with a collar welded to it allowing the metal chimney to protrude through it. The chase cover also comes with a storm collar, which is a secondary flashing that keeps water out of the chase. The storm collar is sealed with flashing sealant and the chase cover is nailed in place. This is done after the old chase cover is removed and discarded. The rain cap is removed and reinstalled to accomplish all of this. Chase covers rust quickly SO we replace THEM with 100% stainless steel chase covers. Each one is custom made and shipped to us from Illinois. They're the best available and come with a lifetime warranty. Dave Myers, owner"

"I'm glad te see you were pleased with the prompt, efficient service! Dave Myers, owner"
"Thanks for the great review. We actually did sweep up the chimney with a brush on a set of poles. However, with the vacuum running loudly it seems like we're vacuuming up the chimney, but the vac sucks out what we brush down. Thanks again, Dave Myers, owner"
