American Professional Chimney & Masonry

They were on time and very pleasant. However, they did not spend much time on my roof. I'm not sure if they actually cleaned my chimney or not. When they came down they gave me an estimate for $1700. It made me very wary. I cant go up on my roof and they didn't show me any pictures of the things that needed fixing. When I tried to ask questions the answer I seemed to get was "I'm the professional, just trust me." They sent me an email copy of the estimate saying I needed to replace the stainless steel liner for 1350 and the crown, tuck point the brick and reinstall the chimney cap for 350. I do plan on checking into this to see if its something I actually need done. I would have felt a lot better about the situation if they showed me proof of what they were saying since I have no way to check for myself.

I was very happy with this company. They provided a complete estimate - including highlighting services they felt were optional. Their team was very prompt and efficient. The work was very messy - and they took extra care to avoid any remaining dust and soot.

I called American Professional Chimney and Masonry Specialists directly and scheduled an appt. for an estimate to install a Top damper and estimate of other services. The appt. was scheduled and a time was Set. The office called late afternoon the day before to verify and give a window of arrival. The day of the appt. the 3 Technicians actually called, to see if I was available for them to come earlier, as they were ahead of their schedule. They looked over the job, verified the work I wanted, took and showed me pictures of the chimney work needed, gave me an estimate, which I accepted and they got right to work. They installed the Top Damper and showed me how to use it. I used a Coupon from Angies list and we called the office to set up the rest of the work. Since we needed good weather NO Rain, we set the appt. with the possibility of having to change. Since the weather didn't cooperate, the office called me and we reset the appt. Again the 2 Technicians arrived on time and got right to work. Upon completion, they again took photos, showed me the work, and answered my questions. The Techs were pleasant, polite and didn't waste time. They also kept everything clean. Since the work required was over a certain price amount I was able to use a coupon they offered on this list. I am very pleased with this companies service. The Office Staff and the Technicians were pleasant , polite and efficient. I would definitely use their service again.

I purchased a chimney sweep from this company in one of the daily deals. They called me the next day to setup an appointment right away. The crew came out the next day and preformed the work. My main concern with the work was cleanliness and they did a very good job. I would even say that the area around my fireplace was cleaner after they left then when they arrived.They also did an inspection and told me there are a few minor issues with my chimney I should get fixed, the B for responsiveness is from them not following up on this work.

The company suggested that we do some other things to the chimney, however at this time I cannot afford the complete repairs. They tackled with the essential repair which was the outer structure of the chimney. They did a great job and the price was lower than some other places quoted us. Fast and courteous team- would definitely use again for the additional repairs. Highly recommended.

They are very good. They came when they said they are going to come. They did the inspection and they said that they did not need to do the more expensive job that I had agreed to, I thought that was nice. Having done the lower level inspection they said that there was no need for them to do the other since everything was perfect. They were ethical and they were reasonable.

This company was very professional. Multiple calls were made throughout the process to confirm times and availability. Estimate was provided and I accepted later the same day. I scheduled the installation about 3 business days after the estimate. The custom stainless steel Chase cover was made over this time and installed. I believe the installer's name was Emanuel. He was on time, confirmed the work prior to installation, worked hard and finished in a reasonable amount of time. More importantly, he took photos before, during and after the installation. I received a call later that day to confirm my satisfaction of the work. Again, the entire company was very professional from start to finish.

There was a problem with excessive smoke. They came back and corrected the installation.

The company was very responsive and pleasant to work with. Catherine, the manager, was especially nice and responsive. The workmen, Rudy and all, arrived on time and explained the steps, and were patient with my questions. The original estimate was for outside repair only, but removing the outside bricks showed cracks in the lining. As a result the cost doubled but the company provided discounts which saved me a couple of hundred dollars. Rudy's workmanship in repairing the outside was excellent. While I cannot judge the work performed to replace the inside lining, if the outside is any indication then I believe they did an excellent job inside. Overall, I am very pleased with having hired this company and would use them again as well as recommend them.

The company was very professional, and the staff was very professional and silled as well. The work was completed in a timely fashion, and they did an excellent job. They explained to me everything they were doing. I would recommend them to others. I am a very pleased, satisfied customer.

Thank you Angie's List for the recommendation! The demolition went on schedule with ALL the debris removed the same day! The Class A Stainless Steel chimney is beautiful.

They were here when they said they would be and cleaned up before leaving. They were friendly and professional.

I am convinced I can control the water problem with other, signficantly less expensive solutions.

It went very well. They showed up on time. They were at my house for several hours. They were very careful to not disturb or damage any property including the shingles on the roof. They acted professionally. They did not leave a mess after completing their work. And I was satisfied.

They were prompt, they were professional, and the chimney cap is well installed.

Very nice people. Arrived on time, worked efficiently to clean and inspect fireplace, then climbed on the roof to check the condition of the chimney. I was impressed at how careful they were not to leave any dirt in the room. They gave me a detailed report of the condition of the structure, verbally and in writing, as well as an estimate of needed repairs for the future. The estimate was reasonable and I will call them later in the summer/early fall to work on the repairs and conversion from gas to wood.

I had originally planned to do this myself and spent considerable time researching the process online. However, with my workload I decided to let American Professional Chimney do the work - and I'm glad I did. Brian and Ronaldo came out and discussed exactly what needed to be done, gave me a quote and set a date for the work. They came out on time, repaired my chimney and totally lived up to my expectations. The bottom line is that they renewed my faith that there really are excellent contractors out there. I can't think of a thing that would have made the experience any easier or better.

Purchased the $119 deal for chimney sweep. They called within the hour to schedule my appointment and accommodated a Saturday request. The technician called when he was on his way and was right on time. He kept the area clean and gave a thorough report of the chimney condition.

After purchasing the Angie's Big Deal for a chimney sweep and inspection ($99), I knew the fireplace and chimney were in desperate need of repairs. After 40+ years of neglect and lack of any service , what else could I have expected. The two techs were courteous and professional and arrived within the scheduled timeframe. The 5-hour job was very labor intensive. I still am amazed how one could stand in the fairly small fireplace to parge the smoke chamber. I also love the new stainless steel Lock-top damper after having to have dealt with a rusted and broken cast iron damper for years. I fell the price was fair considering the amount of work that was done. The job site was left clean. Very satisfied with this company.

They were very professional, wore booties, used drop cloths, and cleaned up completely after themselves. After they did their work, they explained everything they had done and what they found. We apparently had a very clean chimney to begin with since the previous owners hadn't used the fireplace. But it was good to know that everything was safe and in good working order.

Friendly, accommodating to my schedule not once but twice (had to cancel the first appointment due to rain), on time and tidy and professional. One never really knows how dirty the chimney is but I do feel better having it cleaned now and again. Will likely have them look at another chimney that needs repairs this summer.
