Excellent: They gave us a very reasonable quote for cleaning chimney and observed that old brick chimney flue had damage and potential leaks; provided photos of issues up chimney; recommended installation of stainless steel lining and new damper; we checked other companies and found their quote the best. Work was done promptly and efficiently, removed old damper just above fireplace, replaced with chain pull damper closing flue at top of chimney controlled by ring and chain, locking just inside fireplace in convenient location. When they were all done they reduced final price BELOW that quoted originally; instead of more as too many operators do.

This company does good work every year. This year I decided to try and start using an additional fireplace which resulted in some of the work done above, some on the spot and the rest when they could retrieve the necessary equipment.

The company contacted me to schedule an appointment the next business day after I purchased the Angie's List coupon and had availability to do the work the next day. The workers arrived within the appointment window. They opened the chimney liner just above the boiler and cleaned from there, and they climbed a ladder and cleaned from the top of the chimney. They swept up the area afterward. I have been using American Professional Chimney annually for several years. They do satisfactory work, are professional, and are respectful of me and my home.

I have hired this company several times for this service. They swept the chimney and inspected it from the basement (I have a boiler). They were on time and professional. The only reason I didn't rate them an A overall this time is because they did not sweep the chimney from the top which they usually do. When I asked why, the guy told me it wasn't needed.

They came promptly on schedule and gave me a quote that sounds reasonable. The chimney was painted years ago and caused condensation inside. The mortar was crumbling so they recommended a total rebuilt of the brick. They did it quickly and cleaned up well. I am satisfied.

They were amazing. One crew came to clean the chimany - they were prompt, took pains to minimize dirt in the house, and were both pleasant and professional. Setting up the appointment couldn't have been easier. We were most impressed because the first crew reported back that we have a pre-fab chimney insert, so the company sent a second crew out a week or so later with the camera that allows them to inspect this particular kind of chimney more effectively - at no additional cost. We couldn't be more impressed or pleased!

I've been using American Professional for 6 years now. In the past, I've had some minor issues scheduling, but once the technicians show up, they've been excellent. They do good work sweeping the chimney, cleaning up after themselves, and communicating. I scheduled them for our annual cleaning several weeks ago because I was planning to take today off work. I got a call yesterday telling me they overbooked and asked if I could shift to tomorrow. I responded no, tomorrow wasn't going to work. Instead of fitting me in, they told me I would just need to reschedule. That's the last straw. Like I said, I've had issues with their scheduler in the past, and this total disregard for my time means that yes, I will reschedule, but it's going to be with another company.

Gave me a written estimate and explained I would be contacted today by office to schedule date for work. Very professional. Looking forward to having them do work.

I called company since they have excellent Angie's List ratings. I explained I was taking day off to get a number of items taken care of at house. I asked for a morning appointment and she said they would come between 9:30 and 12:00, but exact time would be provided day before. I got the call the day before and office manager, Catherine, first wanted to not send anyone and just quoted a complete replacement. I told her I wasn't sure I needed that done. She said she would call back with time of visit. She called back and said it would be 12:30-1:00. Since I had a car repair appointment booked in early afternoon that was a problem. Initially she said the original person made a mistake by not noting a morning appointment and my appointment was 12:30-1:00. I told her I had booked other appointment based on what they promised. Catherine finally adjusted time inside promised window. I hope they do what they say now. I will update rating after work is done. Not happy now.

Crew was a little late due to a job running over, but not too late, and it was easy to reach the office and get a status update. The cleaning did not take long, and the team was very thorough about what they found and what looked good/needed fixing/what my next steps were.
