No mess good cleaning, no problem.

Went well. workers were fine/helpful. the woman at the office - gruff.

Was scheduled for 11/18 but didn't hear from anyone Sunday. When I called on the 18th., Catherine stated she called an old phone number in my account on Sunday (which I didn't receive). Prior to all this, I emailed through Angie's list two correct phone numbers for which she acknowledged. She seemed to have not remembered when we spoke on the 18th. No matter they were able to come out the next day. Crew arrived 20 min. early. They seemed to be efficient and completed the job. Crew was professional and courteous. I am not sure how well it was done as it is difficult to check chimney sweeps. They made some recommendations for repair, which were minor and the estimated cost was reasonable. I was not able to okay the work as I rent and I told them I would let them I would pass it on to the landlord. The next day I went out of town and the crew showed up again. I had a difficult time getting through to the office (no one was picking up the phone) to figure out why there were people at the house again. My mother-in-law was also trying to figure it out as she was at the house. I was worried they had come to do the repairs. I found Catherine's number and was finally able to speak to about 2 hours after I found out the crew arrived. She stated that they had sent me out to clean the chimney as it wasn't recorded that the work was already done. My MIL did not let them in and only said Catherine was a piece of work. She would not give me details on their discussion. It was an aggravating error on their part and she was apologetic. My landlord did not approve the work otherwise I would have used them for the repairs even with the somewhat unprofessional service.

They cut into brick to create opening for bathroom exhaust fan. They also installed the fan. There were some snags in getting the project started and a couple of issues during, but in the end everything worked out perfectly. I am pleased with their professionalism and craftsmanship. I have used this company twice and will use them in the future.

We had an initial lack of communication - I did not realize that the wood stove needed to be shut down for 24 hours ahead of the cleaning so it was completely cold. When they came the first time, they said that they could not effectively clean the fireplace as it was still slightly warm and would need to come back. I really appreciated their honesty and not just doing something to avoid a second trip. They cleaned it yesterday - did a great job, actually moving the baffle to make sure they got all the soot out. They also pointed out an issue and told me how they would keep an eye on it, how much it would cost to patch but only when necessary. Again, very honest assessment.

Service went well. i believe one guy was receiving on-the-job training. They assessed my outside chimney damage and gave me a quote.

They removed our wood burning insert and cleaned and inspected the chimney. When they put the insert back, it looked like they couldn't quite get it back in correctly. It looked like they just jammed it back the best they could. A few days after they came, we started having a smoke smell in the house. I called them to come back out, but then I had to reschedule. By that time, the smoke smell went away, but every once in a while it comes back. We recently moved into the house, so I am not sure if the smoke smell was because of something they did, or if that problem was going on before.

Not that I would know whether a good job was done or not. I ended getting a huge fat quote for repair work out of them. I am going to get some other vendors to come in and give me a quote. But, they were very professional and on time and clean so I can definitely vouch for them on those points.

I initially asked for the chimney to be swept which was done in a timely fashion and for a very reasonable price (no Big Deal). They noted degradation of the liner on the furnace side and recommended sleeving which I'd heard on the last sweeping two years prior. They offered a price much less than the last provider. They navigated difficult weather and got the job done. Will only use them here on out.

The chimney sweep (for lack of a better word) arrived on time and seemed to do a good job cleaning the chimney and identifying problems, which he demonstrated through photos that he emailed to me. I got the sense that he was competent and honest. However, it was hard to get through to him for follow up when smoke started coming out of a second fireplace connected to the same chimney that we routinely use. The front desk staff were not polite (though not really rude). Ultimately, the chimney sweep called me back and immediately explained the problem, which he then rectified. It was not something he could have caught on an initial inspection.

They do GREAT work for a reasonable price (I have also used them for chimney cleaning and repair. The one downside is that it is hard to get an appointment, so call well in advance and be prepared to wait.

Had two flues replaced and they did an excellent job

They were fine. They were okay, nothing special. My interactions with the provider were normal.

Very Professional & responsive price was in line with other vendors. I chose to go with another vendor beut I would not hesitate to use this vendor in the future.

The price they offered was very competitive (best bid out of 3 companies) and discounted for doing all three chimneys. One fireplace was in the basement another in living room but both connected through one chimney and we had problems with smoke coming through one or the other when fire was lit in one. Initially, I didn't want to do all three chimneys due to cost but during the course of the breaking out on the chimney that had basement and living room fireplaces we were forced to do both. The company very appropriately offered a further discount to cover the additional work needed that we didn't want to have to do at the time. The smoke bleeding over to the other persisted after work was completed. Eventually, we determined it was due to not enough porging (cementing) in the two fireboxes (especially the one in the basement as well as sealing the dampers properly, their relative height to each other and getting better quality dampers installed. They had to come back several times but were insistent on getting the job done right. Brian the senior technician really knew what he was doing. The technicians performing the work less so but they were very polite and did clean work with no mess left behind. Brian followed through to make sure all was done properly and was well supported by his office, especially Catherine. Only problem was it took several tries to get right. I would whole heartedly recommend them. Honest, quality and well priced work.

The work was done on schedule, on budget and in a very professional manner. The proprietor of the business actually made a visit to assist me in determining what should be done with an old boiler and to confirm that carbon monoxide was not leaking from the hot water heater. This company when above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend the business.

The crew was courteous and respectfully of my time and property. Dust was controlled well. This job took two days to complete in the blistering cold. My existing damper was new but had to be broken due to chimney curve, they provided a more efficient one at no charge. When the weather permits, I will call them to apply water repellent to exterior chimney surface and roof lineup

The service provider came out as promised on 1/27/2014. Upon inspection, they informed us that the rusted part of our chimney that we wanted replaced was not the chimney cap (as covered by the Big Deal), but the chase cover, which was much more expensive ($1100). This repair was to address an HOA violation for this home that we had recently sold, so we were not interested in spending that money as an alternate resolution (painting over the rust with sealant and metallic spray paint) was a much more cost effective option. Talked to service provider and agreed not to proceed with work as it was not mutually beneficial, and to request refund of the Big Deal.

It was okay. They told me that my chimney needs $5,000 worth of work and do not use it. They seemed professional and knew what they were doing. They came out a couple of weeks after I purchased the big deal. I would use them again.

We wanted to know if it could be used; and, they assured us that it could. When we purchased the home in 2008 the seller told us it was a nonfunctioning fireplace. Several friends told us that was not the case. When I saw the ad on Angie's List, I decided to employ their services. They were clean, professional, and answered all my sons questions. We will certainly employ their services again.

Appointment scheduling was a breeze. The workers showed up on time and completed the chimney sweeping and inspection in about 40 minutes. Note that there was no external inspection performed due to my property being a townhouse without a brick chimney.

Both workers were professional and did an oustanding Job. They were careful not to break anything and did a very good job of cleaning up after the job was done. I was provided with a written report of areas that needed attention in the future. I would use their services again.

Went great. These guys where very professional. Cleaned the Chimney from inside with out making a mess. Then inspected inside and outside of chimney. Found some issues and provided an estimate and approx timeline of when the repairs needed to get done. We will get a couple other estimate on the repair as it was large, but if these guys come in on target we would be happy to go with their service again. For cleaning and inspection it was great.

It turned out fine. I was excellent all the way around.

It went okay. I was not especially impressed. They did come out at the scheduled time. They said that there were a lot of issues. They gave me a break down of what needed to be fixed. The estimate was a little high. I think the price was fine and it did not take them long to do it. In the special, it said that they would take pictures and they did not do that. I would not use them again.
