What they suggested doing, I did not need. All I needed to do was to have the basement wall purged in waterproof painting and they wanted to do a $3,000 or $4,000 worth of work and it really wasn't needed and it wasn't really a big problem. It was unprofessionally done. I didn't feel that the person who did it really had an expertise and knew exactly what they were doing. It was just a matter of the company making some money. They were responsive and they got here on time.

It was a Big Deal Offer and they were fine. I did not know that our house had collapsed through the chimney towers. They told me that and then they got it out the same day and they installed the new one the same day. They were very professional, all their work was good and I have no complaints, they cleaned up after themselves and everything. There were a lot of things that had to be done when they got here and they just did it. I needed 2 covers and so it cost me another $154 for it. It was for 2 different chimneys. I got to have one for an old burner over my fireplace. Price wise, actually this was the first time I was using them. They came in an hour earlier.

It worked out great. I was able to get them to do something that I wanted. They pointed some problems and we got those fixed too so it worked well. They were responsive even if the weather was bad, they tried to reschedule but they ended having to come out even on the weekends.

Work went well. Brandon and Brian were very professional and prompt, and answered all of our questions. They also recommended some additoinal work be done and provided reasonable estimates for the work. I will be calling them again to set up the follow up visit. I highly recommend AP Chimney.

The crew was a few hours late but the dispatcher did call to let me know they were running late. They did an okay job cleaning the chimney, but the problems occurred with their inspection. Our chimney needs a few bricks replaced and I knew that going into this. I wanted the cleaning and inspection to confirm that the chimney was safe to operate and in good working order outside of the work I knew needed to be done. After the crew cleaned and inspected the chimney I was told that all would function normally and the fireplace was safe to use. Long story short, after our first fire of the fall our house smelled like smoke for days. The chimney was clearly not in good working order despite me specifically asking this from the crew. I called the company back and they sent a crew out to look at the chimney. After a second inspection they handed me an estimate for $2,000 and recommended not using the fireplace until the work is done. That was the answer I would have liked to have received after the first inspection and before lighting our first fire.

The two man team arrived on time for the inspection and did a thorough job. They recommended that the chimney be relined and bricks in the firebox be repointed. Three was no pressure to have the work performed by this company at the time of the estimate but we decided, because of the company's reviews, to let them do the work. The same team arrived a few days later and completed the work in a very professional manner. They were very willing to answer any questions we had about what was being done and they took care to make sure there was no mess left behind, which we really appreciated. We have recommended American Professional Chimney and Masonry to other friends and family.

Everything went smoothly. It was easy to book the appointment and the team that did the work was prompt, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. I was not very familiar with my new fireplace, so one of the technicians took the time to show me the flue and other working parts. I would definitely use this service again!

The visit was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. or later. I received a call around 1:30 from Manny telling me that the rain cap install job had been completed and that he was heading out for a lunch locally until I was able to arrive. I was surprised that it had been done without me on site, but was also appreciative that I wasn't waiting around for the contractor for extended periods of time. I arrived at my house about 1:50p.m. the rain cap had been placed, the chimney had been inspected and photos of both of my chimneys were taken. Manny looked at my damper, which had been stuck in the open position for some time. He made an adjustment without needing to repair a thing. He was friendly, informative and courteous. There was no additional charge for his time or for the adjustment that he made. We then reviewed the photos he had taken and reasonable suggestions were made on how to maintain the two chimneys. I had originally e-mailed the company after purchasing a "big deal" and told them there was a missing brick on the shoulder of my chimney. While the Invoice clearly stated that the brick needed to be checked "bring a few with you" it said, no bricks were on hand. I t is worth stating the color of my brick is unique - I would not expect an immediate match up regardless. Yes, yes, yes. I would recommend this company. A fair price was paid and I will call this company back for my additional needs.

One of the fireplace chimneys was in a rental unit. Tenant complained of some residual soot on flat surfaces after technicians left. I contacted Catherine and she handled the complaint professionally and too my tenants satisfaction. Very professional and excellent customer service.

Technician working inside allowed wet/dry vac to back up which sprayed soot all over the living room. Fortunately, the company was very responsive and agreed to pay for a cleaning and a new couch as the current couch was damaged during the initial cleaning.

Everything worked out great. They did a good job. They were able to come out shortly after I purchased the big deal. They did have to re-schedule once since someone was sick. There were two people here doing the work. They inspected the fireplace down in the basement for me and told me it was okay to use.

Got there a bit late but called to get details, I had put wrong city on the request (my fault). Showed up and laid down the protective coverings and got started. Did a nice job, since the fireplace really worked better after they were done. Plus he checked out the other side of my chimney and found a problem and pointed it out to me.

They were good. It went well. We were happy that they said it was clean and didn't proceed to clean it again so they were flexible and did the repair instead. They also wanted to reconstruct one of the chimneys and the quote was clearly outrageous. The price we paid for the Big Deal was fine. We were perfectly happy with the work they did and what we paid for it. We might use them again for another deal where we knew exactly what we were paying.

It was reasonable, they did a very good job and did not leave any mess.

It's easy to figure out why this company is rated so highly by consumers on Angie's list once you have experienced their services. From the first contact to the estimate, to the scheduling of work, everything was done with timeliness, courtesy and efficiency. The 2 individuals who did the work were outstanding and I would like to acknowledge their efforts in making a very satisfied customer. They are Edgar Melara and Fernando Jacome.

It took 4 days to complete the work which didn't seem bad given the amount of work required and the bad weather (snowed two of the mornings & it was an extremely cold week). The 2 person crew was very professional and seemed to take great pride in the quality of their work. They took great pains to clean up the site after the work was performed and were extra cautious when performing work inside my house - they covered everything in the room with tarps, covered the fireplace opening with cardboard to prevent debris from falling out onto the floor, and even removed their shoes when working inside - there was no dust/dirt left inside the house from the work. They were patient with me when I asked questions and took time at the completion of the job to review/inspect the work with me. Given 30 rows of brick on the chimney were being repaired and that my house is more the 40 years old, I was concerned they would have trouble matching up the replacement brick color up with the rest of the chimney/house. However they did a great job and you can't tell the repaired area apart from the existing area of the house. We had 3 independent inspections/estimates done and all 3 companies were the same price - however we felt we were getting more work for the money from American Professional Chimney & Masonry. For example, one company had only included the work to replace the top 20 rows of the chimney - American Professional Chimney & Masonry did 30 rows for us, as well as included additional repair in the firebox that the other companies didn't catch.

It wasn't what I expected. The only thing they looked at is the work that they wanted to do. In terms of an actual assessment of the condition of the calls, they didn't do that. They didn't meet my expectations. I thought the pricing was tremendous. I could say he was professional.

The guys were great. They did a great job, took pictures with an IPHONE to show me what they did and some minor improvements I will need next spring-no rush, no pressure. One thing will have me using this company again: The guys were not satisfied with their initial cleaning and told me they needed another tool to get all the caked on creosote off. They came back another day to finish the job. They were honest and did not have to do this. They told me the creosote had been layered on for years-meaning the prior companies I used failed to take care of it. They came back, making a second trip, and completed the job for the original price.

Great, I was able to bump up the visit for Saturday, which allowed me to stay dry for the next rainstorm!

I was fairly satisfied with the service. 2 people came out to the house and got the job done in about an hour to an hour and a half and I was satisfied with the customer service.

That turned out fine. Two men came out to do the service for us. They did a thorough job and checked everything too. They also went up on the roof to and checked the cap for me, since there was a time where I lit a fire and smoke came into my home. I think they definitely went above and beyond for us. It was also not hard to schedule with them at all either.

The scope of work was just too expensive at the time, but they gave me a fair price. He came out and looked at the roof. They had to do some research, because they had to fabricate a part for the quote. The quote was free and the measurement was free. They were great. He was very patient, very informative and he bent over backwards to try to service that needs. He didn't try to upsell me. He let me know what part needed to be replaced and what parts were re-usable. He went even as far to give me a quote on repainting one of the parts that he considered a pretty good part. So he said it didn't make sense to replace that. We could probably just repaint it with epoxy paint. He really only quoted for what actually needed to be replaced and I appreciated that. They had very quick response time and they were extremely informative. They were very thorough and very personable. They didn't use any hard pressure sales tactics and they are local.
