They performed the services and kept the work area clean. They identified a few issues that would eventually need my attention and provided, as requested, an estimate the next day. Very pleased with overall service.

Excellent at every step. From the promptness and helpfulness of the office staff to the white glove clean up at the end. All appointments made on time including a thirty minute advance call. Installation team knew their job and explained every step completely. Absolutely no dirt during the entire process.

Had this company out to replace my chimney from the roof up and to install new flue liners in the two sides of the chimney, one going to a fireplace and the other to our furnace and hot water heater. We had just moved into the house and an inspection revealed that the earthquake a few years back had done a number on the ceramic flues in the chimney, and the chimney above the roofline was falling apart. We got a few estimates and decides to go with American Chimney. We are very happy with the results, no complaints at all. Their staff was professional and completed the job within 2 days.

They were very easy to deal with throughout the process. They came out and provided an estimate for the new rain cap and then returned to put it on. When I set up their second visit and added on the chimney cleaning, they suggested I use the Angie's list coupon which reduced the price of the cleaning by ~20 percent. They were punctual and clean on both visits. In terms of judging the quality, it's frankly a bit hard to say since I haven't been up on the roof to look at the rain cap, nor have I looked at the inside of the chimney. We're using them again for another job.

Both Brian and Fernando were thorough, neat, and professional. The inspection and cleaning revealed sections of compromised masonry inside the chimney, which Fernando repaired. We plan to have him back to tuckpoint mortar joins on the back wall of the firebox and install firebrick on the fireplace floor. Appreciated that they were able to schedule work on a Saturday to accommodate our work schedules.

I was pleasantly surprised by the response time. They were able to squeeze me in on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Our fires tended to be on the smoky side, so I was hoping the cleaning would resolve that issue. David provided our service. He was efficient, knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. After cleaning the fireplace, he shared a few tips on ways to reduce the smoke. He also provided an estimate for a liner. This was done in such a way that I felt informed about the needed repair, but not pressured to make it or scared that the house would catch on fire if I didn't. We hosted Thanksgiving and the fire was beautiful without a house filled with smoke. I will definitely contact American Professional for future business.

Bought a chimney sweep service on Angie's List. They responded the next day to set up an appointment. Easy to schedule. Cleaners were on time, professional, and fast.

Alex Rivera and his partner cleaned out the masonry fireplace and inspected the chimney. I need quite a bit of work according to their findings which I anticipated. Alex recommended I not use the fireplace this season. He wrote up a very detailed quote for when I do have the work done. Prices seemed reasonable.

I'm delighted with the service provided by American Professional Chimney and Masonry. I definitely recommend them and will be calling them for my next fireplace inspection/service.

The workers never showed up. I waited around for 2 hours. I even covered my furniture & prepped the work area. After 2 hours of waiting , I called the office to get a time estimate and they told me that the crew had called in sick and they were in the process of notifying all their appointments. I was their morning appointment so I would expect to be the FIRST appointment to be notified. Even if I wasn't, how many appointments can possibly be scheduled for one crew. Definitely not 2 hours worth of wait time. Someone dropped the ball.

Columbia Chimney came prepared to study and make recommendations on our chimney needs. They were equipped to look up and photograph interior from the floor level and also to study from the rooftop. The company owner also attended and consulted. They worked with us subsequently to provide a proposal and a revised proposal to meet our needs and wishes. I am impressed with their capabilities and professionalism so far, and we have hired Columbia Chimney services to perform the work estimated to be done in mid-December.
