+ -1 moreJob was performed very unprofessional. Contractor did not communicate well, nor did he return to complete work, after he took advantage, and begged to get paid because he did not have any money. After contractor received money he never returned to complete work or communicate again. Contractor lied and said he was licensed when he is not. Electrical work has not been done properly, and there are many safety issues including no railing on the steps, and a lot of other issues that need to be corrected.
Description of Work: Hired as a home improvement contractor to finish off basement and foyer in my home.

Description of Work: American industries was hired by me to build a home for $189,000. I gave him $10,000 to start. They did what they had to do to get to the first draw and received $60,000 more. Not much was done after that. He asked for $20,000 more to get to second draw and I approved of that. He tried to get $40,000 more and I refused until he reached terms for the second draw. He since has left my home as is and I have not been able to reach him. Now I'm getting liens on my home for which he did not pay the suppliers that he should have out of his draws. Also I found out that he did not have a license in Maryland to even build homes.
