We are in the middle of an awful experience with this contractor. We spent nearly $100K on a deck and patio, and the patio looks nothing like the pictures they showed us before it was completed. Basically, the surface of the patio was not sealed properly, or the pavers themselves are defective, but the result is very uneven and unattractive. They poured toxic chemicals (Xylene) on it in an attempt to fix it, but it only made it worse. Their last word on the subject was "we're not doing any more". So, now we're left with a very expensive patio that is not at all what we paid for. Clearly, we would not recommend them. A picture is worth 1,000 words, as the saying goes, so I've added a photo showing the promise vs delivered.

Pro-built did an excellent job building a deck with a sunroom for us. We have got compliments from our neighbors and friends. I love to relax in the room. Ed, the owner is very responsive to calls and texts. He lived up to the promises he made. The front office contact was prompt but lacked the personal touch. I prefered to contact Ed directly rather than deal with the office. Overall, very satisfied.

We initially had an issue but the owner called and spoke to us and we are now satisfied with his response.

We are thrilled with the patio that Pro-Built created. They were professional and easy to communicate with from start to finish. Christina was a huge help in picking out our brick. They were very quick to answer questions and address concerns. The work was completed on time and the clean up was thorough. Now we have a fantastic addition to our home. They will definitely be doing additional projects for us in the future!

After we decided we wanted to put a deck/patio at the back of our house, we contacted several contractors looking for quotes and ideas. After some work, we decided on ProBuilt - they weren't the cheapest, but they did have the best ideas and seemed to have the best quality based on our examination of different work they had done. They were very solicitous during the design phase - coming to the house a few times to make sure we had exactly what we need in terms of color matching and design - we are kind of particular, so it was nice that they were solicitous of our needs. The work was rapid, ahead of schedule, and the result is thrilling. All of our neighbors, as well as relatives who have visited say it improves the backyard immensely. In fact some of our neighbors are thinking about copying the design. Finally, they satisfied a punch list of small issues rapidly and without complaint after the job was primarily complete. All in all, we would recommend them, and intend to use them again.

It went very well. Jason and Christina were very customer oriented and did a professional job. Our basement looks beautiful.

We wanted a new build deck and realize its the busy time of year to do so. Utterly disappointed by this company's lack of response to email, web estimate and phone call inquiries.

Arrived on time did a great job with permits and rest of the work, very helpful with the intial planning of the deck we wanted a different shape to our deck, but a few days before the project started told us he had to change the plan a little sec to the county not giving the permit for the shape we wanted, and because it was very close to the start date adn we were in a hurry to get the deck done we went with what he said the county approved, Overall it is a great deck and well built we would be OK to use him again but we would be more careful with some stuff

If you are determining if your going to use a contractor, several things typically get evaluated. One of those is the way the company responds to your questions, calls and emails. If your looking for someone to get back to you if you call or email them then look somewhere else. This company is riding high on its history rather than continuing to build up its new business. I ended up giving up on this company after they repeatedly failed to get back to me on the simplest requests. There are plenty of other companies out there that provide similar quality and along with great reputations which will not treat you as an inconvenience.

The outside deck work went well. The power washing and staining was extremely expensive and was done poorly. The workers hit our basketball system with their truck and smashed the back board. The owner did pay for the damage. The job dragged out longer than the contract indicated by about a month.

The construction itself went extremely smoothly, with the entire deck, gutter system, and patio completed in about two weeks. Pro-Built made some very nice adjustments during construction. The pavers that I chose for the patio were slightly cheaper than the original allowance, and Pro-Built credited that savings toward a finished underside to the staircase, a paver retaining wall on the patio that doubles as a bench, and timber-and-stone surround for my two external HVAC units. The project also included LED lighting all of the railing surrounding the deck, including both sides of the staircase. The original light supplier was unable to deliver, and once again Pro-Built came through by quickly finding an alternate, more expensive source and installing the lights at the original price. This deck and patio is state-of-the-art, featuring all of the latest Trex materials for decking, trim, railing, balusters, gutters, ceilings, and posts. Everyone who sees it marvels at its beauty, something that will endure for years to come thanks to all of the maintenance-free materials. It feels like an extension of the interior of my home and coordinates extremely well with that decor. Pro-Built has earned my highest recommendation for novel design, diligent project management, construction quality and workmanship, and value.

From the guy who helped me select the color and design, very helpful and knowledgeable, to the guys that torn down my 15 year old deck, they were very professional, they came got the job done,no problems or issues and they were gone, to the guys that installed the new Trek deck. These guys came while I was at work, when I got home I had a new gorgeous deck and no mess left behind, i couldn't tell they had been there until I looked out back and saw the deck. All stages everyone was very professional. My deck is absolutely gorgeous. I just watch my neighbors stand back and admire the beauty. I would highly recommend Pro-Built Construction, great workers, great company.

I decided not to use ProBuilt as their estimate was very high and they seemed non-responsive to my needs/wants.

They were excellent. They completed the work on schedule. They showed up and they took for calls. They did what they were supposed to do. I generally had no complaints about them. I got several bids and they were right in the middle. The workmanship was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional. They cleaned up themselves after work. I will use them again in the future.

We have loved them and it is going very well. They will be done either today or tomorrow. We were in a good situation because we really were not in a hurry. We wanted our deck by next summer and they offered to do it this winter because they have a little more time and it is an easy schedule. We also had a door that they needed to make into windows and windows that we needed to become a door. We have no complaints. They have done an excellent job with a pretty complicated build. They have been relatively easy to work with and the workmanship has been extraordinary. We have been very pleased. We got a couple of bids for our deck and people were friendly and nice. Pro-Built had built the deck for the flyer for the 2010 National Treks. It was a circular deck and we thought that was what we wanted but after we got the price we didn't want it. They were able to give us that feel without the expense. We had found them online and used them because of their workmanship and quality guarantee. They were definitely the company we wanted to work with because of their general sense of ideas. We have been very, very pleased. For the size of deck and the other work the price is competitive even though it is not cheap and it comes with a 26-year guarantee. The deck is two stories in the air. We plan to use them again.
