The inspector was knowledgeable and through. He found several issues that I might have missed. Every aspect of the home was completely explained to me. The report was emailed to me and my agent, including pictures. Excellent service!

We can't say enough terrific things about Highland! Everything from Debbie in the office, who gave us a thorough overview of what's done and the process itself and was able to handle everything last minute; to Rick (the owner) who did the actual inspection, and even the report Rick wrote up that very night was wonderful! All this in about 30 hours from the time we first contacted Highland, to when we had the report in hand! (Note that I don't recommend this whirlwind timetable, and most builders won't allow it anyway, although ours did, but it was sure nice that Highland was able to do it so quickly. Even our builder was impressed with the report Rick did. "Very professional", "easy to read", "the photos were great" were just some of the sentiments our builder expressed about it.

The inspector Barry was extremely knowledgeable and thorough with the inspection. He patiently explained the issues he found and what could or should be done to correct them. The report arrived the same day as the inspection. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a competent and detailed inspection.

Highland Home Inspections came highly recommend and they did not disappoint. Dan was everything we could have asked for and more. Professional and courteous. He spent the time to inspect and explain everything. Much appreciated.

He checked for water/leaks and did not find anything. He then had some other suggestions for addressing the smell, such as removing some chemicals we had stored there. The smell is not gone, but it is improved.

JD was on time and professional. He performed a thorough inspection, explaining everything that he noticed and little things that are good to know about the house. He answered all of my questions and even pointed out child safety concerns for us as expecting parents. I received a detailed and easy to follow home inspection (which had integrated online resources/references linked to the report) later that evening.

Barry was great, he arrived on time and obviously knew his stuff. He was very thorough, pointed out all the things big or little that he thought were worth noting, and took the time to answer questions. He even suggested ways to repair small items, and made it clear which repairs would require a professional. The inspection report was equally thorough, and we received it later that same day. Would recommend/use again.

Barry was very friendly and easy to work with. He arrived 15 minutes early and we dove right in to the inspection. He was thorough, spending almost 3 hours walking through, taking pictures, and explaining things to us as he went. Within 24 hrs (actually less) we recieved the 37 page report with everything broken into categories. This report helped us work with the sellers to make some necessary changes before finishing the home buying process.

They were very prompt, professional and did an extremely thurough job with the inspection. The price was reasonable and well worth it for the services provided. It was helpful to have a list of things to repair to send to the seller, and also for us to take care of in the next few months. We also added on a radon test for an additional charge.

Very pleased with the home inspection! JD walked us through the entire house pointing out defects, explaining how items worked and answering all of our questions. We received the inspection report the same day and it was very thorough.

We had the pleasure of having Dan as our Inspector and he was very courteous, professional and very thorough with the job being done. We purchased a house before but the people that we hired were not as thorough and I never recalled them being upfront about the issues with the house. Dan pointed to us every section, corner and other different areas that we have no knowledge about. Needless to say, he did a great job and we're very happy with the service provided by him and the company.

It was a delight to deal with office administrator Debbie who promptly returned all communication. Reports were received the day after inspection, and we were able to address all issues with the builder in a timely manner. We had a delay and had to reschedule the last inspection. Rick, owner and senior inspector, was not informed of the change of schedule until after he got there. He was able to inspect what was completed at the time and returned the following week to follow up and complete the inspection. We would definitely use again if needed.

Jamie was very knowledgeable. He offered explanation of everything he was looking for and what condition those things were in. He provided useful information for future maintenance. The provided report was very detailed and the format was very professional. Office staff were very fast and courteous. I would recommend Highland Home Inspections to everybody that I know.

Jamie was excellent. He went over every part of the house, explaining what he was looking for and how everything was supposed to work. So, not only did I get my house inspected, I learned a little of how things work.
