APCCO Termite & Pest Control

My decision on what type of treatment to use, bait or barrier, was challenging. On the initial visit, Cliff Babcock, provided useful and factual information about the pros and cons of each. He normally uses bait. We agreed on a bait installation with one area treated with liquid. Price was fair. Installation was completed on the agreed date with no mess or damage.

Great. Called one week later when ants were still present but told it would take some time with the bait. Cleared up after another week. No more ants for the rest of the summer.

I have never left a review on any site like this before but, was so pleased with Steve and his company, I wanted to share my experience with others. We had ants getting in to the house through one window and tried everything to stop them but ran out of options and called APCCO for professional help. Steve was friendly, considerate, informative and efficient. The best part? The ants were gone by the time we checked on them that afternoon!! I will (and have already) referred this company to friends.

I met with Shelton and I thought he was extremely nice. I really liked him. They treated for ants in June and they had to come back. They did come back and take care of that. They did a really good job. They were very pleasant, efficient, professional, courteous and helpful. There were lot of ants and some other bugs as well, they are just about all gone but I did see some more so they came back the second time and I haven't seen any since which is great so thank goodness. Their pricing was fine.

Many of my neighbors in the Bethesda/Montgomery County area recommended APCCO. Although I value that as initial guidance, I nonetheless always make up my own mind and I have very high standards. ;I was elated to find a company with the ethics, knowledge, professionalism and punctuality APCCO demonstrated! First of all, their arrival time was not one minute before or after the agreed time but ON THE DOT! I saw APCCO's representative waiting in his car outside my home 10 minutes before our appointed time. That was impressive. And they honored their estimate cost. It was the brother of the owner--STEVE BABCOCK--who came out on the call to my house. I was so impressed! You can't get more knowledgeable than Entomologist, CLIFF BABCOCK: a wonderful, intelligent, ethical man. Has a B.S. in Entomology from University of Maryland and he minored in Plant Pathology! He pronounced my home to have a clean bill of health so he didn't make a penny off me beyond the estimate. Showed up almost immediately after I called and did an extensive inspection of the situation. Provided a detailed cost estimate within hours and started work promptly as proposed. The carpenter assigned to the project was very thorough, professional and effective. Throughout the repair project, APCCO very thoughtfully cleaned the workspace and minimized the disruption to our home. The new Sentricom should be more effective that the insecticide treatments that we previously contracted for and it will alleviate concerns related to contaminating our well water. All in all, a great job by APCCO.

They are pretty good. I have a year to year contract with them. They come every year and check. If I have termites they are supposed to deal with it for free or at a lower charge. They check inside and outside the property. They don't try to push stuff on me. They offer a service at a reasonable price. I find them reliable and reasonable.

APCCO is prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. They did a good job with the inspection as well.

APCCO did the initial termite inspection when we bought our house last year, and we have stuck with them, first when we had some carpenter ants, and now for a nest of yellow jackets in our front yard. Every time they have been very quick at coming out to see me. Both times, the problem has been taken care of in one visit. They are very good at explaining what the situation is, and how they will be treating it. I never feel that they are trying to scare me or pressure me into unnecessary treatments, but I also trust them to let me know if something really should be done. They are a small family firm, and the personal service is great. I have to admit I haven't shopped around, so I have no price comparison, but if they keep treating me this well and the charges seem reasonable, I will continue to use their services.

I find them honest and extremely reliable. The head of the business is an entomologist and compared w/others I've hired in the past, they are prompt and honest and don't suggest treatments that I don't need.

Technician was prompt. Application only took ten minutes. I was a bit skeptical, but within a week we've seen a marked improvement. Whereas we used to see 5-7 crickets per week, we now see perhaps 1-2 month and they're always dead. Hard to argue with those results.

APPCO came out to do a pest home inspection. They were prompt and professional. In the following spring when we noticed carpenter bees, APPCO came and treated at no cost.

They were great. Called them up, and they came out and did the job. The thing I like about them is that they do not make you pay a monthly visit fee. You pay them for the first big application (plus I paid for a termite inspection for the property) and then every visit thereafter is only $55 during the year. Saved a bundle not having a guy out every month which is what the competition generally does, chariging you each time. Saves me excessive unnecessary pesticid and $$$. I oly needed them out one other time.

They were very thorough in their inspection and walked me through and showed me all of the damages and explained what repairs were needed. I had a little old termite damage near the front stoop of the home, and several joists needed repair. They provided an accurate estimate of the costs, arrived on time for the repairs, finished them quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. I accidentally overpaid them, and they called me as soon as they received my check to let me know that I had done so! Overall, very honest and decent people to work with. I plan to renew my termite warranty with them every year. Several of my friends use them as well.

They do a thorough and professional job. They have found problems when other companies did not. They are slightly more expensive, but I can't imagine someone saving $50 or so when they are purchasing a home which could be badly damaged by insects. It's just not worth the risk. One home in particular had over $12,000 in termite damage which another company never found. Thankfully I called APPCO.
