EMERSON'S PLUMBING

I recently renovated a house to include 2.5 baths. In the bath in question, I had a tub, shower and sink plumbing replaced with new Kohler fixtures and tiled throughout. Emerson was called in during the rough in work when walls were open. They had the actual Kohler fixtures, tile, studs and green board on site to work with. - they incorrectly measured both shower and tub tolerances so the fixtures now protrude too far from the finished tile by about 1/2 inch and the escutcheons do not sit correctly - there is a gap between the mixer and escutcheon and to correct it, we need to rip out tile and replumb - so I was forced to cut a piece of PVC pipe to make a collar to hide the valves from view - it still looks bad... OK - then... - they installed the Kohler tub mixer UPSIDE DOWN, so when you turn on the single leaver you get hot water first, then cold... - He was very responsive when I called for a quote and actually arrived on the next day (Saturday) to give me an estimate, all seemed good. However... - they were very rushed and sloppy when working and lots of cussing from the plumber toward his helper and overall stressful. I felt that he had way too much going on and was already rushing to his next job in his mind. - After the tile was in (I didn't notice the hot/cold issue until much later) - I called several times. He finally called me back, apologized and said he would fix it at his cost - which is great - an appointment was cancelled 5 minutes before scheduled arrival due to personal emergency on the Plumber's part - and that was about a year ago...have not heard from them since...

THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED ON A SUNDAY AND I WAS NOT CHARGED FOR WEEKEND SERVICE. HE EVEN CHECKED THE OUTSIDE PIPE TO SEE IF THE BACK-UP WAS ON THE CITY SIDE OR MY SIDE.
