Precision Door Service

Precision had installed new garage door springs in January 2008. One of those springs broke yesterday. They came out today, fixed the broken spring and honored the warranty by only charging the visit fee listed above. Quick and professional. Show up at the beginning of the two hour time window. Very happy with the service and consideration shown by Precision today!

They were great. They were able to come to my rental property and my tenants liked him. He figured out the problem and was able to repair it right then. He was very nice and professional to work with.

All in all it went well. the only thing i didnt like is when i questioned his suggestion for all new hardware, and maybe could we just replace the damaged hardware, he seemed offendedthat i was questioning him. i felt as a consumer, i had the right to ask any and all questions to get a compelte understanding of what was going on. he seem condescending to me as a single woman. i wasn't happy with his attitude about that. however, all the work was done well and in a short period of time. he did waive the $49.00 fee to just come out and honored my Angie's List 10% off coupon. so, all in all it wasnt either the best or the worst experience. it was just average. if the provider's attitude had been a bit better i would have rated them higher.

The technician checked doors and asked how long I had owned system. He then offered to sell me a new system, but did not explain why he felt I needed one. He did note that the drive chain was sagging and that it needed to be adjusted - - which he did. Had he explained that a sagging chain is a sign of the drive shaft bending, and that condition may later lead to a breaking of the drive shaft, I may have considered buying a new system. Needless to say the shaft did break about eight months later and I got it repaired. I think that the the Big Deals should also say that the contractor will - - -in most cases - - perform the work outlined in the deal AND will also inspect your deal for additional treatable problems which maybe associated with that project.

Came at scheduled appointment time. Replaced spring and lubricated other garage door spring.

Technician came to do tuneup visit. Arrived 3 hours late. Said he couldn't do the tuneup because one of the torsion springs was broken. Wanted $500 for 2 torsion springs. My 20 year old daughter was home. He gave her extremely high pressure sales routine, kept insisting on doing his overpriced job right away. Going rate from 3 other companies is $250. Their promotional coupon is clearly a scam to get a foot in the door so they can pick your pocket. They owe me a refund for the coupon. Stay far away!

spring broken. garage door stuck. Technician came, identified it is not the spring they carry. helped to make the door operating temporarily. but suggested to covert to torsion spring. Only charged me the service call. very honest, professional and helpful.

This company I think is just a phone number. they take your information then subcontract to a local salesperson. Then another sub contractor installs the product. When I called back the third time(regarding the one panel), someone said my sales person would contact me. The sales person said I really should have called him directly. There is no accountabilty by the person who answerers the phone in Laurel. Find a company that has customer service

We purchased the big deal from Angie's List and it went very well. They were out here in just a short period of time. They took care of everything and cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased.

It was done in a professional manner and provided me with tips on how to maintain the moving parts to extend the life of the mechanism.

The installer was very unprofessional, not patient or understanding. I was new to the service and wasn't sure how to get the coupon codes for the service. The work was good but his mannerisms were terrible.

I was very pleased with this service. Everything that was promised was done, and he is coming back to replace the weatherstripping on the bottom of the door. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way, a courtesy which is always appreciated. Before starting, he explained everything he was going to do, and he seemed to be very knowledgeable about garage doors and how they work. He clearly takes pride in his work which means he was holding himself to a high standard. The job took less time than I had thought it would, and now my door is aligned better and has new wheels which make it much quieter. I would use this service again.

The garage door tech was professional. He arrived on time. Everything went smoothly. He lubricated the springs and checked the operation of the door. He recommended lubricating the garage door springs once a month. No adjustment was needed to the door. The garage door operation is quieter now. We would definitely use this company again. Thanks!

We called Precision, scheduled an appointment. They showed up right on time as far as I can remember. They were great.

Everything went well. Have used this provider previously and will use them again as the need arises. Were professional and highly skilled.

I selected A-1 Garage Doors Tune-Up PLUS Rollers service from Angie's list for $99. I had been having periodic problems with the garage door not working. I pre-termined that it was't a problem with the "opener".. When I called to make the service appointment, the women on the phone was polite and their schedules were somewhat flexible with the date range I requested. We agreed upon a service date of July 1st. She asked if I wanted a call when the service technician was on his way. I usually say yes, but I thought ther was no need once we made the appointment time, since I'd be home all day. He was approximately 15 minutes early. He introduced himself ( Charles), and asked me to describe the problem. I did, and left him to do his work. I popped in about 15 minutes later to see if he had identified the issue yet, and he had. The problem was with how close I placed items on the "side" of the sensor. With the front of the sensor it was more obvious what the limitations were as I'm always conscious of the red sensor. He demonstrated with several items, made a few suggestions then instructed me he's be doing a quick inspection to ensure there were no "additional" problems, and change the rollers, which made a significant difference in the noise, which I had become so accustomed to by this point. All that in another 15minutes and he was completely done. He was propmt ( early), professionally appropriate with introducing himself, an attentive listener my explanation of the problem and aneffective communicator of the issues he found. On top of that he was efficient- and thankfully, didn't find anything else that needed to be replaced,. It's now a month later with no apparent problems.

I am pleased with the results and would use this company again.

I was unable to use the deal I purchased due to not hearing a response from the company. I was assured when I purchased the deal and set up the scheduling that I would hear a followup. I never heard anything.

They checked the mechanism to make sure it's working properly and they made some adjustment on the pressure of the door. They also cleaned up after themselves.

Was called earlier than appointment to see if I was available. I said sure, come on over. He then waited a few minutes until friend left and musical cars in driveway was done. He got right to work after we discussed what was covered and what option I wanted just to verify. The work was done quickly. He tested both doors. I asked about the seal that goes on the bottom of the door. He said they don't put on truck unless requested as there many, many different sizes and tracks. I didn't even think about it when I called in the deal. He said I could call the company and could have this done at a later date. I gave him my coupons and he was gone.

After 1-1/2 years, everything appears to be fine.

I called at 9PM on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning an installer called me to schedule a time to come by to do the estimate. He came by the house on Wednesday. I did have to call Monday to get the estimate, as the installer never called me on Thursday or Friday to give me the estimate details. I scheduled the work on Tuesday for Wednesday. The work was completed in 2.5 hours and I am pleased with the results.
