Precision Door Service

Allen was on time and professional. Upon quickly looking at my 2 garage doors, he stated I needed all new hardware, $550.00 per door. (I would never replace the hardware, especially at that price, without getting other estimates.) I asked that he just fix the one door where the pulley hit the frame. Allen replaced the pulley. It worked fine. The other door was jerky, Allen said it needed oil. Allen advised that he could spray it with WD40, but it would cost $39.99 per door. (Really!!!) I told Allen I would spray the door's hardware. I paid $49.99 for the service call and 39.99 for the new pulley. It took Allen a total of 15 minutes, including the time to write me the bill. I went out, got the spray but the door was still jerky on the way down. I called back to see if Allen was still in the area to adjust the door. I was connected to Allen telephonically and he said it needed a total rebuild, and he could do nothing. I googled how to adjust the door, watched a YouTube video and did the adjustment myself. This is the second time I used Precision Garage Doors for two different residences and the second time the technicians pushed all new equipment. (The first house had new hardware, but the technician, Barry, said the supplied springs were the wrong size and needed to be replaced. When we called the manufacture the next day, the original springs were the correct size.) Not using this company again. The technicians must work on commission.

Excellent work! The doors are very quiet and operate much better. Probably better than new! Technician was professional, prompt and went out of his way to make the doors operated much better!!

I purchased a Big Deal and a technician came out to inspect and service the garage doors. He put on quiet rollers which make a big difference in the amount of noise the doors make. He was very polite and professional, I highly recommend this company.

They did a good job. They checked the springs and stuff like that on the garage door. I remember making the appointment and they came. That is always a good thing because I have had people who I have made appointments with and they did not show up on time or did not come and then I called them back to say, "Where are you?" "Oh, what do you mean?" I told them, "I scheduled the service today." And they were like, "We do not have that in our schedule." I said, "What are you talking about? I talked to you last week." And then, they just go like, "Oh, we messed up." I actually would consider hiring them in the future. I actually am doing something now but I ended up picking somebody else because somebody gave me a better price.

They were very professional and punctual. I received email confirmation of appointment and also an email follow-up after the service. My garage was relatively new and maybe I didn't really need this type of service for the price. But my mind is at rest knowing that they have thoroughly checked it and gave me some tips on maintaining it well. If I have issues in the future that needed fixing, I will definitely go to them as they have given the impression that they are knowledgeable and would do the job right.

Went very well but recently had to get a new opener and called them back. I happened to call a few providers and I got the same opener at a savings of more than $125 from another "A" provider

The technician showed up on time and provided garage door maintenance in a professional manner. after replacing parts and doing maintenance the tech installed the key pad he instructed me on its operation and programming. he also set up my vehicles automatic capability and instructed me on operation and programming. Very knowledgeable and professional technician - a complete professional that I highly recommend.

I recently purchased the $149 garage door tune up. The technician arrived as scheduled. I explained door movement is much louder, door closes (lands) more abruptly. Given that I do not repair door for a living I assumed rollers may again need replacing. Technician stated rollers last a lifetime. He stated that the sound is from the motor, he stated that he could lubricate the rollers but would have to charge me $49. The deal description states "The tune-up will include a thorough 25-point safety check of all door components, including the electronic opener. Additionally, Precision will fully lubricate all moving parts, and replace noisy worn out rollers with super quiet rollers, which carry a lifetime warranty. " He did not lubricate as I was not willing to pay additional money. He stated that given I had this service last year that I should request a refund. He stated that on Monday, when he returns to office that he would help with securing a refund. At the minimum, lubrication should have been done. Technician was prompt, professional, hence a positive rating.

New rollers are quieter and overall doors are quieter/squeek free since servicing BUT, the garage door no longer stays up by itself when pushing it up by hand, as is necessary when the power is out = I have to prop it open with my ladder. I will have to have the tech. out to rebalance this door, which is irksome.

They came and told me they couldn't fix the garage door due to the special type of door I have. So I had to pay them to come out and tell me they don't work on the door I have. It was originally $49.99 for them to come out and I had to really fight with them to get a break and they finally came down to $30.00 since they didn't perform any work at all. I had to then call another company to get my garage door fixed.

Technician performed the following work in a professional and timely matter. 25 point safety check of the operator and door Inspection of booth operator and door door lubrication installed wireless, key-less entry system.

There was a misunderstanding on what was quoted and what was to be provided. Workers were profesional but when they contacted their manager to clarify - the manager wnet off on me and basically blew me off by threatening to leave my garage door inoperable after they removed defective spring. After manager was off the phone, the workers apoligized their manager was going through medical issues with his wife. I can appreciate his issue but he was very unprofesional - screaming over the phone at me and making threats. I would never use this company again because of how I was treated.

It went very well. I purchased a big deal for a tune up and replacement of some parts. They let me know that there were some issues with the door. They were able to replace some other parts at the same time for an additional price. I knew the garage door was having some issues. I asked the technicians if they thought the system needed to be replaced or if it was worth the fix. They said the rest of the system looked alright and could/should last several more years. I opted for the fix, which was considerably less than replacing the system. I was pleased overall with the service and was glad I did it.

The work was completed appropriately and the cost was reasonable. The two technicians performing the work did not come across as professional. They were defensive when I stated the fact that after their service, the door was now making a loud noise that it never made before. They insisted, in a less than courteous way, that I initial their paperwork if I did not elect to have safety cables installed. Ten minutes after they left they returned to say they made a mistake and did not charge me enough for the additional work. I wrote them a new check and was glad to be done with them. I would not use this company again.

My wife called me on Friday the 6th to tell me that there was a problem with the garage door on our house. When I got home and took a look at it, it was clear that the spring had broken. Based on the high number of positive reviews on Angie's List, I called Precision Garage Doors and scheduled an appointment. The person on the phone told me the technician would arrive with a fully stocked truck and would be ready to perform any repairs on the spot if I wanted. The guy showed up as scheduled and took a look at the door. He saw the broken spring and also noted the cheap wheels the homebuilder had used when they installed the door. The technician advised me that there could be some benefits to replacing the wheels so I agreed to have him do that as well. The technician installed the equipment as discussed and also provided me with a new remote keypad. I've always been annoyed at how loud our garage door was. I was so stoked at how quiet the new wheels were that I was opening and closing the garage door just to enjoy the sound of it.

They came as requested and gave me a call 20 minutes ahead of time so I could be sure I would be there. We have an old wooden garage door, which no longer opened. It is heavy to open manually. The motor in the opener was burned out, but they were able to tune up the door so that I can now open it manually with little trouble.

Very professional and quality work performed at a reasonable price. Not only was work conducted in a timely manner, Mike C. who performed the installation also took the time to conduct a 25-point safety check. Would definitely recommend this company to others.

The technician showed up on time and was very helpful. He was not able to resolve the problem and suggested we order a new Genie garage door opener. He called the office and placed an order. Only some days later were we told Precision did not service Genie products.
