Great. Have no details, the job was done and the garage door work as well as the key pad. The Individual was very professional.

The Installation Technician was very knowledgeable and performed his duties without any assistance however, before the door was installed, I was given a install date which was later changed on the date of installation which was an inconvenience because I had to take a day off from work for nothing.

Happy with results, would definitely recommend! Very professional!

I'm not that computer literate and this page is difficult to get the right words in the spaces that is set up for them!

The guy came out, he did a very nice job then he left. He was a very nice guy, very cooperative, very talkative and friendly. I enjoyed talking with him. They were a very good service. I would definitely use them again. I thought the price was good for what I wanted done. They were on time. He was very professional.

I called the 800 number at 8:30pm and talked to a real person, who pulled up my record and scheduled an appointment for 10:00 am the next day during a snowstorm. Received a follow up email confirmation with name and photo of the technician. Technician called at 10:00 am and said he would arrive in 30 minutes. Technician arrived and fixed the pulleys and gears and determined that the Genie unit was broken and unrepairable. Charges $50 for the service call, but, did not accept the $30 Facebook coupon for "any repair" since the technician claimed this was just a service, not a repair. In the midst of a snowstorm, I was lucky that I got service in a timely manner, so I did not argue the point. It is just misleading to use the word "any" on the coupon. I will need to call the company to confirm that they did not install the Genie originally, but, all in all, the experience with Precision Door Service, Laurel MD was excellent, especially considering the adverse weather conditions.

From beginning to end, the experience was very professional. Got service within 24 hours of my initial phone call. Customer service was very good. Appreciated the appointment confirmation email that included a photo of the technician that would come to my home. They are obviously concerned for customer safety which is VERY refreshing. Barry explained all of the needed repairs and gave me a quote before starting and I only paid what I was quoted. No hidden fees. He was very courteous, clean and an expert at what he does. You can tell he like his job.

Our garage doors are OLD, and one of them is on an opener. We use it as our primary entrance to the house, and it really started rocking itself down, and developed a visible crack towards the bottom where it wasn't sitting flush to the garage floor. With my mother in law coming to visit, and our plan to give her the garage code to get her easy access to the house, I wanted to make sure the door worked reliably. I bought the AngiesList Big Deal and called Precision Garage Doors on Monday, 12/2. To their credit, the scheduler was professional, friendly, and able to schedule me for the following day! I was ecstatic. I wasn't going to be home so I sent the info to my wife. My wife is profoundly Deaf and uses American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate. With contractors, this usually means writing out a conversation with paper and pen. While I was at work, I got some frantic text messages from my wife that I didn't quite understand. Something about the provider telling her that it would cost $350 (we had already paid $149 for the Big Deal), he said he was leaving, I had to talk to him. So I excuse myself from a meeting to call the number she provided me with, and the service tech explains to me that the springs on the door are in such bad shape they are dangerous, and don't have safety cables. It was a life safety issue, so of course I told him to proceed with repairs, which ended up costing us an additional $350 (on top of the $149 I already paid). I have no problem with that, because a life safety issue is a life safety issue. I do take issue with the fact that this tech wouldn't write things down to communicate with my wife, even when she clearly couldn't understand him. Upon giving a very short and broken written description ("$350 springs, safety"), my wife wrote back that she had to talk to me before she made a decision. His response? "5 min". "5 min for what?" she wrote. He looked at her and gestured that he would leave. "Other clients" he wrote. If you are truly staring down the barrel of a life safety issue, did you really give my wife a 5 minute timeline to make a decision about spending $350 for something only described as "$350 springs, safety"?????? I find this to be unacceptable. The quality of the work was good. The price- I can't say whether it was reasonable or not, as we found ourselves in a high pressure situation. The scheduling and office were great. The tech was insensitive, and if I may say, downright callous, with my wife. We wouldn't use their service again or recommend it.

I had a garage door spring break. When I called them, they would not give me a quote over the phone. They charge $49 to come out and give you a price. I did end up finding out that the springs I needed were $ 198 for both. The tech showed up on time and was very friendly at first. He quickly looked at my garage door and told me the door needed to be replaced. He wanted almost $1000 to replace all the parts on the door. I told him I just wanted the springs replaced and I had a 20% off coupon. He quickly quoted me a price of close to $400. I told him thanks for coming out and have a nice day. He decided to call the office, who quickly decided to change the price to $300. He the did work quickly and did a good job. By the way not only did the price change but his attitude did as well.

They are excellent...very easy to work with.

I was completely pleased with the service. The tech arrived exactly on time as promised -- less than two hours from the time I placed the call. The broken spring and its mate were replaced as a set. The Tech discovered a broken pully and also replaced it and its mate as a set. He also replaced the cheap, nylon bushing-type center bearings with high-quality ball bearing. The door now operates smoothly, quietly, and safely again. On time, on price, great work, three-year warranty, 24/7 call-center in case I need them again.

I bought 2 coupons (maximum allowed) but have 3 Garage doors, so when the technician got there, he said he could use the 2, but the 3rd door required new parts that wasn't apart of the coupon, so it ended up costing about $450.00 more. I was thankful he was able to do it, but wasn't expecting it to cost that much. The appointment service was excellent. I called on a Friday and they had an opening the next day, which was a Saturday, so I didn't have to take off work! The technician was also very informative. He showed me what should be done every 6 months to keep everything lubed and opening smooyhly.

We used their coupon for the tune up and knew that we would need some additional work. The guys who came out were great! They carefully explained what the issues were and how the would address them. They even made a return call at no charge when my wife forgot the new key pad sequence. A really nice crew and company to work with!

It wasn’t really good. They came in and instead of doing the inspection, they were like trying to upsell a new garage door for me rather than talk about what the problem and how to fix it and that’s what I didn’t like about it. The work was okay.

The deal worked out really well. The price was fair. The quality of the service was good.

They came out the same day I called which I appreciated because my wife was freaking out about not being able to use her garage. Mike came out and gave an estimate and showed her what was wrong. We actually declined the work because it was something that I felt comfortable with doing myself but if I ever need service again I would not hesitate to call them again.

The annoying squeal that used to accompany the door going up and down is gone and the operation is smoother.

They’re swift and completely professional. They do great work. Scheduling is superb - they come right away. I think the pricing is more than reasonable; it’s right on target and fair.

They did general maintenance on both my garage doors.

The Technician/Provider (Allen) performed excellent service. He explained everything in detail so that we understood it all.

Overall, it went fine. I would have given the company an A rating, but what I thought was a relatively inexpensive fix (replace a single door spring) turned into a $370 expense. Seemed like there was no way I was going to get out of that situation without spending at least $350!!! In my mind, that's just a lot of money for what appeared to be a easy fix.
