Precision Door Service

I bought the ? $149 Garage Door Tune-Up plus a free key-less Entry Pad (or new rollers, your choice)!? The technician arrived pretty much on time. I was outside when he arrived, so I walked to the van to greet the gentleman. He got out of the van breathing hard and making noises like he was already annoyed for been there. I said good morning and introduced myself. He did not say good morning back, just his name. I did not care much because maybe he was having one of those mornings. Anyway... We walked to my garage and there is a small crack on the garage door and he looked at it and said that he was not going to service the door that he could get me a new one by the next day for $1,600 or $1,700. I asked what the problem was and he said that the crack was going to get bigger right away and eventually I was not going to be able to use the door. I bought the house with the same crack on the door about a year and a half ago, and the crack has been the same one since then. The door works fine, no issues at all, so far. So I said ?well if I am not going to get your service how can I get a refund? he said ?contact Angie they have to give you a refund but you owe me $50.00.? At this point he has not done anything at all to the door. I went to get a check but since he was charging me for 1/3 part of what I paid for the deal, for doing anything, I changed my mind and asked him to do the service. So he complaint again and started making noises like he was so tired and annoyed by me. I went back inside and just several minutes past when he was calling me. He said he was done. I asked him what he did and he said ?I didn?t do anything but changing the rollers? so I ask him ?did you checked the motor, hinges, brackets, etc.?? he said ?No! It?s not worth it!? then I ask ?did you at least put lubricant in the rollers and stuff like that?? He said ?what for?? Oh so you want me to put lube on it? OK!!!? So he went to his vehicle, got a bottle of lubricant and sprayed a few of the rollers, not all of them. He did not put lubricant in the hinges, brackets or in any other parts of the door. The guy was really obnoxious and arrogant. I bought the same deal back in 2012 for another house I had and everything went well, which is the reason why I bought the deal again. However after this last time, I am not calling them again.

I contacted the provider to schedule an appointment to do the tune-up and they told me they don't service my area. Great customer service, just unfortunately can't service my area.

We originally pre-purchased a coupon for tuning up our garage door because it was opening/closing inconsistently and making lots of noise. I figured it just needed lubricated/adjusted. Once the provider arrived, he examined the door and pointed out some issues with it. The reason it wasn't opening/closing consistently was because the springs were completely shot. I'm always skeptical when a service person tells me I need more work than expected. He walked me around and pointed out the various issues with the door. Specifically, he pointed out the stretched-out areas of the springs and showed how they completely sagged when the door was in the 'up' position. He noted that tracks and door itself were in good condition so it wouldn't be worth it to replace the doors completely. He priced out the cost of replacing the springs/rollers and then subtracted the cost we had already paid for the Angies List coupon. He had everything he needed with him and managed to do the work on both doors in under an hour. After he finished doing the work. He went through a process to show me how he tests the integrity of the door. For example, he showed how you could open the door to any point and let go and it would remain at that point. He gave me a can of lubricant and walked me around to point out all the areas I should lube twice a year. He also showed me what he was doing to calibrate my garage door openers and how he tests to make sure they work properly. He was very helpful and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Due to how pleased we were with Precision in the past, we elected to have them once again perform annual maintenance. It went awesome -- technician explained what we need to continue to watch as homeowners and were told how to keep the life of our garage door extended. Excellent!!!

It went great. Barry was absolutely terrific. He arrived on time and could not have been more cordial or polite. He explained the comparisons of the old opener versus what a new one could do. Following the installation, he took time to explain the "workings," the safety features and even helped me to program the opener with my car. This experience was a good one!

It went great. Technician was actually early, explained everything and completed the work in about an hour. I purchased the Big Deal tune up with new rollers on Angies List for $208 and when the tech came, he pointed out that the springs were starting to pull apart/come uncoiled so went ahead and replaced them along with the cables and pulleys. Thought that $568 was a bit high for an hours work after researching the cost of parts-- hence the B on price. But, overall, very satisfied and would use them again.

Garage Door Tune-up, replaced rollers and performed inspection.

The work was completed in a timely manner and has been working fine ever since the repairs were made.

Excellent all around service, from the initial contact, quick responsiveness and know how in providing the service. I am extremely pleased with this provider.

I asked to be called via their web form on their website regarding a problem with my garage door. I received an email stating I would be called within the hour or the next business day. A week rolled by and no one contacted me. I submitted a BBB complaint stating that I was never contacted and despite attempts to get in touch with them, no one returned my inquiries. The response I received was absolutely pathetic: ============= We receive job leads from many sources (two websites, Angieslist, BBB, Home Advisor,telephone etc), and pride ourselves on the ability to answer each one in a timely manner. I personally carry my cell phone with me at all times, to be able to direct a customer's request to our office manager to contact. We receive many requests for service each day, and obviously cannot schedule all of the appointments at the requested time, due to other customers previously booked at that time. We do apologize for if we missed this one request in the myriad of requests we answer each day. We typically respond to each request within an hour or two, depending on the volume. The response the customer receives clearly states: "We will be contacting you within the hour during business hours, or tomorrow morning if after hours, to confirm your appointment and to get your address. Please do not assume that your appointment is set if we haven't contacted you to confirm. If you require emergency or after hours service please call the phone number below to speak with a representative right away." This customer assumed he was given the appointment time he requested, and had not been contacted. There would be no reason to wait around the house for a technician, if the appointment was not confirmed. This customer could have called the number to speak with someone, if he hadn't heard back in a timely manner. We value our customers, especially ones who are referred, but in this age of technology, there are times when the email doesn't get through to the appropriate person right away. The good old telephone is the best way to check if no response is received. We apologize again if we missed your email, but would not be willing to offer a discount on services, as the directions were to not assume you had an appointment until you heard from us. =========== Talk about arrogant. I never "assumed" I had an appointment. I simply stated that I took the time out of my schedule as I was promised a call on the next business day and never received it. Therefore, Precision Garage Doors is completely wasting my time. Based on their absolutely unprofessional response, I cannot in good faith recommend this company to anyone. I haven't even had the opportunity to rate their work as they won't even give me the time of day to setup an appointment. It's clear that Precision Garage Doors has no respect for their customers and doesn't want my business. Therefore, I will never recommend them. To say you value your customers and then accuse me of not calling is irresponsible.

Everything was great from the purchase of the Big Deal through the appt. Unfortunately the service couldn't be completed as my garage door needs to be replaced versus just tuned-up. The tech that arrived was very honest with me and provided me details and estimates for the work that needed to be done as well as provided some options for my wife and I to consider. I will definitely use Precision Garage Door in the future.

The service staff was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. A part failed and they came out and replaced it at no charge. Derrick is the best technician EVER!

I purchased a tune up package for $149 but we were having seriously bouncing and slamming issues with our garage door. When the repair man arrived he explained everything he saw, what problems result from it and how it can be repaired. He openly discussed costs and was very understanding of our budget restraints. He worked with us ( and our budget ) to give us all the help our garage door needed to run smoothly. Everything was reasonable and made sense and our door is like new, couldn't be happier :)

Everything was good and they seemed to do a good job. I appreciated the difference after they performed the maintenance and tune-up.

Excellent. JR Queen, the sales representative was very responsive to my email inquires about their service. He was friendly and punctual to our meeting, clearly described the work that would be done and provided a very fair price for the doors, plus labor. Their warranty for parts & labor was among best I found during my research. Russ, the technician was also friendly and punctual. He arrived ready to work and finished within 3 to 4 hours. He did an excellent job, took the old doors and parts. Some debris was left behind, but overall, I was satisfied with area clean up. I would gladly hire them again.

Everything was fine with them as I recall. There were no issues with scheduling. My wife mainly dealt with them.

They did they tune up and on the rollers ok, I guess. Then they asked if we wanted to replace the springs for $300. I knew the parts were about $30 and it would take less than an hour. When I got home I found one spring actually broken and just hanging by the cable. It's possible that this happened in the couple hours between when they were at the house and I got home, but I would have thought they would have seen the imminent break and told my wife. Plus the cost was outrageous, especially since they were already at the house. I won't use them again.

It was fine and easy. I had no complaints.

Mike the technician arrived on time, and had everything working in about 30 minutes. While he was up on the ladder to reprogram the remotes. he also changed the light bulb in the door opener light.. Price was approximately the estimate and I am thrilled to have everything working!

Barry the technician called me an hour before he arrived to give me his ETA. I was delighted to have him show up 5 minutes early and be extremely professional and friendly. Barry walked me through the issues with my garage and gave me the different repair options. He didn?t try to sell me services that I didn?t need and walked me through everything that needed to be done. He quoted me an hour for the repair and it took him 45 minutes. After that he showed me how to trouble shoot my garage door opener which I thought was broken but just needed a little help. The price was reasonable and the whole experience was very pleasant. The service turned out well. The technicians did a good job and I had no complaints. Scheduling was not an issue.

They were wonderful! The tune-up went well – we can definitely notice a difference on the doors. We’d definitely use them again. The entry pad has been great, too. They were right on time and very professional. Highly recommended!
