Precision Door Service

This company is a scam. We called the company for a quote and they said it would cost us for $50 for them to come over and take a look. It was the cheapest quote we got so we had them come over. After the technician "looked at" the door suddenly he wanted to charge us $130 because he said the extra $80 was for "diagnosis", which the sales did not mention in the phone call at all! When we argued about it he threatened that if we refuse to pay, we could be arrested for theft. How dare he do that! We said OK let's call cops and then he settled for $50 and left. We did not lose anything so there is no need for settlement. But we feel this company is very dishonest and even threatening its customers. They do not deserve an "A+" rating and we do not want any other customers to suffer the same experience as we do.

I loved the work, they did a very good job. I had a rental, the family was having a difficult time getting in. The only issue I had was that the employee came out and tried to collect a fee from my renters. He asked me to write a check, I contacted Angie's List to clarify that I did not need to pay an additional fee. I also contacted the owner, he apologized and confirmed I did not need to pay any additional costs. He called back to apologize again. They did, however do a great job. The owner was a very professional and handled the situation promptly and respectfully.

Very professional, on-time and courteous servicemen. Explained what they were doing and why, did not try to up-sell on services or materials. Would use again.

The service went alright. The technician did a good job. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

They completed the job and it went really well. They came on time and offered additional feedback and answered my questions. They really did take their time to explaining how the garage door works and how to maintain it. One technician came out to complete the job.

The technician came out and was courteous and on time. I showed him the issues with my garage door and replaced the parts that needed replacing and tuned up the entire door. Great job....no issues, would certainly use this company again.....

The service technician arrived for our after-hours emergency call on time and promptly did as much as he could under the circumstances. The salesperson arrived on time (after a reschedule because of severe winter weather), completely explained all I needed to know and gave me a detailed quote on the replacement that was necessary. The installation technician arrived on time down to the minute, replaced our garage door and opener in what can only be described as "beastly" weather, and did a wonderful job. Any problems replacing a 30+ garage door system were quickly remedied with a call to our salesperson. We're thrilled with the work ethic of the company, and delighted with a new (unexpected) garage door. Thanks for the good job!

Came for the $149 tune-up, but naturally none of his fixes were covered by the service. Changed out springs and cables.

If you want to use Precision Garage Doors - and you DO want to use them. Call them during business hours. Using the Angie's List Web form is a waste of time. After I called them during business hours they were all over my problem. Out the next morning - on time and had the job done in less than 30 minutes. Could not ask for better or more responsive service.

Checked over my garage door. Found some other problems so cost me more than the "deal" that I had purchased. But they did a great job, and the work was warranted for 5 years. Had a problem last fall and they honored the warranty - although they did not have a record of the paperwork, luckily I did.

It went well. They did what they were supposed to do and when they were supposed to. The price was very good.

Initially I was told spider webs were the cause of the garage door not going down. I explained that we had another tech tell us that last year so we were conscious of keeping the sensor area clean. After checking the door again the tech recommended we change the photo eyes. The wiring was loose. When I made the appointments I mentioned my Angie's List discount. The tech overlooked that on his paperwork. He noticed it after he reread his notes and called for discount amount (10%).

He indicated there wasn’t anything wrong with the doors and communication with him was clear, thorough and concise.

The appointment process was very smooth, and I was surprised to get an appointment so soon, and on the weekend no less. Appointment time was 9am, and the technician arrived at 8:57. The old garage door, rails, and all hardware was removed, and loaded into his truck for disposal. The whole job took approx 4 hours. The work was fantastic, every detail was attended to. With the springs being new, it was a little tough getting the door to stay down to lock. Tech went to his truck, and came back with a foot plate - so you can step on the plate and hold the door down to lock it - which he installed free of charge in about 60 seconds. The work done was fantastic, the service I received was excellent and friendly, and the price was lower than I budgeted for. (The Angie's List discount didn't hurt, either). I highly recommend Precision for any garage door work!

They informed me they couldn't perform the service because I need a new garage door.

They came out the first time and did the tune up. He left the garage door closed. I tried opening it later and it wouldn’t open. The paperwork said that everything was left correct. I called them the next day and they came back out. He found the cable was frayed and the springs needed replacing. He worked promptly and the door is working well now. We had to pay an additional fee for that 2nd visit.

It was fine. They came and did what they were supposed to do at whatever price it was. They weren’t great; they weren’t bad they were just fine. They did the job like they were supposed but I think they were a little expensive, I knew the price and so it was what it was.

They informed me that they don't service my area.

I chose the keyless wireless entry pad. It was general maintenance on a garage door opener. They took off the old one and put in a new one. I am enjoying being able to get into my garage very easily. He was a very nice man. They got back to me right away, and as soon as I made an appointment they said they could stop by for the installation which they did. He was right on time and he called right before he came. I have not had a garage door opener in a year and this makes me very happy.
