This company might be good if you've got bulk work, but they don't seem to care about an individual. Business like this should not stay in business.
Description of Work: NOTE: companies do post positive reviews about themselves. I'm not saying that DSR has done this, but it's something the consumer should be aware of. While it's harder to do this on Angie's List, it's still possible. For a relatively small investment in fake accounts, they can post positive reviews. The key is to look for detail in the review, which I provide below. THE SHORT STORY: DSR is pricey. The quality of their work, or at least of their technician Larry, is low. Their responsiveness is dismal. The front desk is professional and polite, but Larry seemed either overworked or couldn't be bothered to sufficiently investigate my computers' issues. Larry stated nothing could be done for my computers; I am taking them to another technician to have them looked at and will post his findings. If Larry was correct, I'll revise my rating to be fair, but I don't think he is correct (see why below). UPDATE: While Larry was correct that there was a hardware failure (motherboards), he failed to do anything about it. He didn't offer a solution and seemed like he would rather rather get me out of his hair than fix my computer. I took it to another tech (see my other reviews) who was punctual, less expensive, more professional, and three weeks faster than Larry and his folks. THE LONG STORY: I am a software engineer. Not an expert with hardware but I can get things done with computers if I have the time; I do know a thing or two about computers. I own 4 computers but don't have time to work on them or I'd take a weekend and do it myself. So, I dropped two computers off a couple weeks ago. All had crashed after running Malwarebytes, an antivirus program. I figured wiping the harddrive and reinstalling the operating system would fix the issue. Dropped the machines off, DSR's fee is $75 just to put the computer on the bench and look at it, if they do anything it's more. A little pricey, I thought, but they got good reviews here so I figured it was worth it. A couple days go by, and no call from the technician to discuss the problem. Usually the actual tech will want to talk to you, just as a doctor would about what specific symptoms you're seeing. Not calling indicates he doesn't care or hasn't even begun to look at it. I let that slide, thinking they were just busy. DSR seems to cater mostly to organizations rather than individuals, and they may have had a lot to do, so okay. Anyway, I discussed the problem with Larry, he told me he'd look at the computers. I let a week go by, and not a peep from Larry. I called to see what the news was. He stated he couldn't get one machine to start at all (even though he'd wiped the drive) and couldn't the other to start up and stay on (again, with a clean hard drive). Both these indicate hardware failures, which is strange - two computers normally don't both have hardware failures simultaneously. I asked him to come up with some options and I'd call in a few days. I called a few days later. Larry sighed as he answered my call and said nothing could be done. Not, "hey, why don't we order this part and see what happens?" as most technicians will tell you. So I offered this: I'd bring in a new processor (Larry thought that might be the culprit) and let him test with it. The results? (Again, I had to call him and pull the information out, and he answered the phone seemingly unhappy to have to actually talk to a customer) Still not working. No options. I've had enough and pulled my machines. It cost me $200 for nothing.
