I was very fortunate to work with Pat. He gave me great advice, was very patient with all of my questions and recommended a wonderful solution for getting more heat into my family room. He never tried to oversell me which I truly appreciated. I would recommend this store and Pat to anyone. He is an honest professional who knows his business inside and out!

The servicing of the fireplaces went very well, the repairman was very knowledgeable, and he explained the cleaning and repair process in layman's term. I was very pleased with the service, and I will use again and recommend to friends and family.

Sam was extremely pleasant and professional. He fixed the issue, pointed out a number of items that I needed to keep an eye on. He wore footies and put a pad down to keep the carpet clean from tools. He was very honest with the work and we would use them again.

They cleaned it and showed us how to operate it properly. The service man was very knowledgeable.

We went to their showroom to learn more about the options for putting in a gas fireplace. We do not have an existing fireplace so they would be installing one from scratch. They had a nice selection and the salesperson was very helpful with us discussing options and being up front about costs. The cost was more than we expected it would be, so we decided not to go ahead with the project. However, when/if we do decide to go ahead with the project, we will be using them. They seemed very knowledgable and focused on quality.

Their estimate was almost double any other one we got, and none of the others even charged for an estimate!!! They have a beautiful showroom, and they obviously add the cost into their estimate and final billing. We liked their variety in choices for our job, but decided against it once we saw their estimate. They claim they will credit the final bill with the $99.00 charge for their estimate, but the estimate was so outrageous that I'm sure the $99.00 was added back in!

I originally found this company through Angie's List. After work, I visited the showroom. I was greeted by Dawn McDonnell. She was professional and had a certain confidence about her. I presented her with pictures of my fireplace and she immediately jumped to a pad of paper to write down what she thought the make and model of the unit was. She told me her company could perform all the required repair work. She asked me to go home and to email her with additional pictures and information. I immediately felt confident that this was going to work out. We exchanged a couple of emails about the project. Again, everything seemed good. I felt like we were making progress until she ended one of her emails with "I will get back to you in the next couple of days." I did not hear back for three days, so I sent a follow-up email. I was willing to be a little patient because she seemed so confident in her ways and the reviews here are high. Another three days pass and I still did not get a response. I sent another email. Another seven days pass and I still did not get a response. I sent another email. In total, it took 27 days to get a response from Dawn offering to setup an appointment. Within that time, I had already found another company to come out, provide a quote, and perform the work. Do not waste your time. There are other companies out there more wanting of your business.

The delivery of the entire project was much slower than expected. Certain parts that were ordered were damaged when they arrived and certain parts were not available from the primary vendor Day or Night Home and Hearth started with. Additionally, we had to coordinate certain issues with sub-contractors, coordination that should have been done by Day of Night. Although there were hurddles in delivering the product, the overall product was good.

It was a pleasant experience. The technician Dominic was friendly and took time to cover his shoes and prepare the work spaces. Making sure that he didn't create any messes in the area. He thoroughly cleaned the fireplaces and they worked flawlessly after. I'm pleased with the work, but certainly wish the services didn't cost so much. In the future I'll look to keep up maintenance and only get the units serviced by the pro's every several years. I would recommend them if you need attention paid to your units. I'm also glad that the technician didn't come in and tell me that we needed new fireplaces!

I decided not to go with Day or Night. However, the design consultant was great. She was knowledgeable and patient. The other staff at the showroom were friendly, and it's a welcoming place. Also, the estimator was punctual, courteous and professional. I wish I could have hired them. Unfortunately, the cost of labor was more than double the other estimates we received. The stone stack offered was very close to what we wanted, but more far more expensive than what we would pay for what we really wanted from a tile store. Day or Night will not install stone stack purchased elsewhere. Ultimately, we purchased our own materials and hired a contractor for the labor.

We were satisfied with it. He thought it was fixed but then he left and maybe a week ago, he's doing it again. He came back and he didn't see anything wrong with it. It went out again. We ordered a piece that we needed. We ordered it online. The next time he came back, he put it in and then the fireplace worked. The price was good and it worked fine. He went back 3 times. They were also responsive.

They came out. The man said he wasn’t sure if my fireplace needed to be fixed or needed to be replaced. He said they would be in touch within a week. I called them, it had been over a week, the lady said she didn’t think it could be replaced and she would get an estimate to me by Monday. I still haven’t heard from them. I would like a refund.

It turned out it just needed to be cleaned and they performed a chimney sweep. They did a great job and I would use them again.

The experience was very good. They came in and did everything that needed to be done, and the folks that I had before that weren't very good. I would recommend them. They are nice.

11 year old gas direct vented fireplace had a very low flame and could not adjust. Another service provider said fireplace needed a gas valve replacement to the tune of $1500. Day or Night found the problem in 15 or 20 minutes by cleaning the burner orifice. Fireplace works like brand new for the regular service call price of $239. Pleasant, on time, covered shoes and protected the carpet. Actually called and came a day earlier than originally scheduled. Will definitely use Day or Night for regular service in the future.

Service technician was excellent. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and took the time to tell me how to operate the gas fireplace unit. Will use this company again and would recommend to others.

Let's start with the positives. The servicing of the fireplace seems to have gone well. We are currently not experiencing the flame going on and off. The glass panes are clear, enhancing the visual of the fireplace. Both repair representatives were friendly upon arrival and during their time at our home. The not so positives. The second repair representative, who seemed to be more of an assistant, wasn't as careful as we would have expected. He marked up the wall on the staircase leading up to the second floor and one of the walls on the second floor near the fireplace with the hose from their dry vac. The assistant also placed the first pane of glass down on our hardwood floors before cleaning it. I had to ask them if they had another towel or blanket to put down on the floor so they could rest the glass panes on it before cleaning them. They told me they only had the one that the main repair representative was using. Here are two suggestions. Bring 2 floor protectors, so one can be used to place the glass panes down on for cleaning. The cleaner used on the glass is not necessarily safe to get on hardwood floors. Also, when carrying the dry vac up the stairs and when using it, keep it away from the walls. It's not easy to clean the scuff marks off the walls and the areas don't usually look quite right after being cleaned. A little extra effort can go a long way in the eyes of this customer. I would recommend this company again because I believe they can address the couple of things I pointed out. If they continue to raise their fee for a service like this, I will probably first look for another company who charges less.

We weren't very happy with them. I didn't feel like I got the best price. The unit that we purchased didn't heat as well as we were assured it would. I don't feel like we use our pellet stove that much but it requires a thorough annual cleaning. We have to have them come out to clean it. The system itself is problematic too. For the amount of money we spent, it wasn't the best system as we were told it was. When we mentioned we had a problem with the system shutting off, a worker spent an hour dismantling the unit, only then asking me where was the electrical outlet it plugged into. That tech quoted me a price to replace all these different parts. We disputed it. They sent the original tech that installed the unit out to take a 2nd look; he cleaned the unit and it began working again.

I went there to get a new fireplace. The provider was difficult to communicate with. Rarely called back. They did come out for an inspection for installation of a new fireplace. Charged $99. I asked for additional quote on moving washer and driver to upstairs location which would require plumbing. Never got quote. $99.00 is gone. Fireplace cost was too high. They do not break down the cost. Just one number - impossible to compare costs with others. Never called backed. In other words, I was the one that always had to call them. Too difficult to work with them- extremely poor communication.

The service technician, Jerry, arrived on time and introduced himself. Asked me about the concerns/reason for the call andt then he immediately began to diagnose the probem. The issue was resolved in short order (a few minutes). The technician completed the repair, cleaned the fireplace (It looks like new!). Jerry showed me how to remove the fireplace glass, advisedme of what type of cleaner should be used to clean the glass and answered all of my general questions. The company did not try to sell me a part or something unnecessary :) Jerry smiled and was extremely pleasant throughout the service call. It's Columbus day so now I have the remainder of the day to relax and enjoy the fireplace. Thank you Day and Night Hearth and Heating.

The contractor did a great job of replacing fixtures, designing the new finishes, and executing the work. They are very friendly and respectful of the property. The take care to avoid a mess.
