These guys were great. Courteous service, friendly and did a first rate job. They packed and loaded everything to protect it from damage. Upon delivery the placed everything with care, including a challenging move of the piano down steep staircase.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service!!!! There were three movers and these guys all had the maneuver down pat. It was like watching a close order drill. Highly courteous and professional as well. There was a lot of furniture (large couch, overstuffed chair, beds, etc.) and these guys had it all on the truck in a little over an hour, then got it unloaded and up three flights of stairs at the apartment in about the same time. Not a scratch on anything. These guys were great and I would definitely recommend them. Class "A" outfit all the way.

They were very flexible and supportive when we had complications with our settlement and had to change our moving dates. Not only were they very professional, but they were very helpful and caring. Since settlement was postponed, it conflicted with the start of our vacation. What we ended up doing was packing the house before settlement and holding it on trucks on their property for a few days, and they unloaded it for us while we were away. I saw how courteous and respectful the movers were when they loaded the trucks, and completely trusted them to unload our stuff at our new house while we were away. I am so glad I had a moving company I could trust during such a stressful time.

They were extremely professional, very competitively priced, very respectful of my mom's belongings and treated it like a white glove service, on top of that it was a hot day and the movers had to move the belongs to the third floor with no elevator. They were cheerful and and friendly and very mindful of all their surroundings

Mr. Pappas was the one who came out and gave me the initial estimate. He assured me the final cost would be between $300-$500 of estimate. Once they had everything in the storage and moved is when he told me it was going to be $1000.00 more. I talked with Mr. Pappas and ended up arguing with him, but ultimately paid in full. They damaged 2 antique desks and ruined my temper-pedic bed, which voided the warranty because they drug it through mud and put a large tear in it. Even the comforter, which was in the bed(they closed the bed) was dirty and torn. Instead of lifting and moving the bed they just drug it on the ground through the mud. My bed is going to be around $5,000 to replace. I also have Swarocvski crystal missing, I had 6 little crystal birds and cost about $200 a piece. I had clothing in that box which is missing as well. One of the other boxes had a terrible smell because it had gotten saturated with water. Now they company will not answer or return my phone calls. I will be contacting the attorney generals office to file a complain and hopefully help me file a complaint with the movers insurance company.

They went first to the house in Hanover and had everythjng loaded neatly and safely within 2 hours. We had already packed up eevrything that we could in covered boxes so that they could be stacked. They still had to put some of the small boxes into bigger boxes to make moving them easier, simply because there were so many of them. The three man crew did a great job. Then they drove down to our house in Manchester to move everythingninto place. There were no problems and they listened to where things needed to go. They handled everything with care and respect and were completely finished faster then I could have imagined.

This is by far the best move that we have had. The estimate was met, the pre-move advice extremely helpful, the packing and the move were on time, and flawless. Not an item was damaged (including a delicate 150 year old china cabinet), and there was no, I repeat, damage done to either house. The team was professional, friendly, and offered very helpful advice throughout the move. They showed up on time on both days of the move and worked tirelessly to get us into our new home timely. They reassembled several large pieces of furniture and even repositioned several of those as we changed our minds about placement. In addtion they reassembled two pieces that were already on site and had been disassembled by the painters. I cannot say enough good things about this company from first contact through the time their empty trucks drove away. A person would have to be crazy not to use this firm. As an aside, we also used this firm to move one of our businesses to an office building in Annapolis. The experience there was equally as excellent as with our personal move.

Top Notch movers were spectacular from first contacting them on Angie's List to obtaining an estimate to the move itself. Dave called ahead to see make sure he had the right equipment for the move and said they would arrive at 8:30 on the day of the move. Dave and his team showed up promptly and wasted no time getting to work. After the initial walk through my wife and I stayed out of their way. The worked liked a well oiled machine with purpose and precision. The Team was friendly and helpful and even joking with us as they went about their work. When we got to our new house we wanted a sofa/recliner to be moved into an upstairs room. The door jam was only 29 inches. Dave came to us and let us know that it might not fit but they would give it their best shot. After looking at the door opening and the sofa, I tended to believe that it would not fit. Dave assured me that his crew would try and if anyone could pull this off, they could. I watched as they painstakingly and methodically maneuvered the piece through the opening. I wish I had videotaped it to give as a training lesson for how to do things right. They were great and although I don't plan on moving again for a long time, I would highly recommend this crew to anyone who is moving. They made the day as pleasant an experience as moving can be. Top Notch Moving & Storage is an excellent company and they provide top notch customer service. The move and storage went smoothly. They previously moved our furniture from our old house and packed everything for long term storage. They definitely take the time to ensure the safe transport of all items. I would highly recommend them.

A few weeks before our move I scheduled an in home estimate for moving services. Jim was on time and asked great questions as I walked him through the house and what needed to be packed and moved. The day before we moved two packers came to pack up our breakables, etc. These guys could have been a bit speedier, but they got the job done. On loading day a team of 4 arrived early and started loading up the truck. Unfortunately not all of our stuff fit into one truck, so they had to call for a second truck. But we appreciated that and were not charged for the second truck. We weren't moving into our new home for another three days and luckily it worked out so that our stuff could stay on their truck until our move in day. Move in day was a rainy day, but the guys did a great job of getting our stuff into the house, especially with the tight corners, and needing to walk through the house to get to the garage. The final cost did end up to be more than the original cost estimate, but the rates were still very reasonable. Overall a great experience and we would definitely use them again.

They delayed shipping my stuff for more than two weeks, and then they overcharged me by $200 extra. That is not good. They shipped it a couple of weeks later than when they had said they would ship it. Once they reached here, they said that I had to pay them more. They kept calling and telling me that it had got postponed every time.

Top Notch Moving was great. All of the staff were very helpful and courteous. We moved from a 3 BR house to a 5 BR house and it went very well. Jim's estimate was a little higher than some of the other companies, but we chose them anyway because all of the costs were included. Other companies I spoke to were going to charge extra for use of the wardrobe boxes, for assembling furniture, or even for using extra packing tape. I felt comfortable that Top Notch was going to take good care of us, and not add on any extra charges. We had to change our move date due to weather and not being ready, and Dina was very helpful and didn't make us feel rushed. They were able to accommodate our schedule with no complaints. The day of the move came and Dave and crew were right on time. They even called before hand to let us know they were on the way. We were not quite finished with the packing, but Dave and the crew was great helping us get the last few items packed up. They worked very quickly, but took great care with our items. Nothing was broken or lost. They had a little bit of trouble with our son's desk and they thought they might need to take more of it apart, but they worked on it a bit more, a found an easier solution and were able to get it taken apart, moved, and reassembled with no trouble. They took care at our new house not to track in dirt, and to put all the furniture and items just where we wanted them. We weren't quite sure where everything was going to go, so they had to move a few items more than once, but they didn't complain at all. A handful of boxes were not put in the correct rooms, but considering we had something like 100 boxes, that was not a problem. Overall, Top Notch Moving did a fantastic job. They were easy to work with, very helpful, and very good at moving. The move was very stressful, but the actual move day I was very happy with the movers and the crew. They made a stressful time much easier. I would definitely use Top Notch Moving again, and would highly recommend them.

It was a huge job; we had lived in the Pikesville house for 26 years and raised 3 children there, and we had a lot of "stuff." Jim Pappas, the company president, came out in advance and gave us a written estimate. He also went over what we needed to do, as we were packing all of our own household belongings. It was actually a 2-part move: We had rented a portable storage unit from another company to stash some of our excess household belongings in while we were selling our house. That company was to move the storage unit for us; however, we had serious misgivings as to whether we had packed it well enough to have it moved without damage to the contents. Jim proposed having two of his people come the day before moving day, re-pack the storage unit, and put some additional furniture and boxes from the house into the storage unit. This would allow us to make the best use of the capacity of the storage unit, and help to ensure that his company wouldn't need to bring a second truck, which would have added additional cost for us. Jim also carefully coordinated the time for our move, as we had limited space for the storage unit's truck and Top Notch's truck to be at either house at the same time. The times had to be carefully coordinated. Well, they did a great job with all aspects of the move and the "choreography" involved. All of the men were very professional and courteous, and even did a few things for us in the new house, where we ran into unanticipated problems with things having been left there that we weren't expecting. The job was competed within the estimated time, and there were no unexpected costs. We couldn't be happier with the job that Top Notch Moving & Storage did for us!

Top Notch was great. Very punctual and efficient.

My husband and I have moved nine times due to our jobs with the federal government. Most of the movers were contracted by the government and so we typically had below average experiences with numerous broken items. This was the best moving company we have ever had. Jim came out and gave us an estimate, which was nearly spot on. He also gave us helpful moving tips and ways to save on the overall cost of the move. Three days before they were scheduled, we were running out of time moving all the small items. I called Top Notch and asked if the guys could come and pack up our kitchen and dining room; we just didn't have the time to get it all done. They easily accommodated us the day prior to the move and were done in literally 45 minutes. Three individuals arrived and Dave, who was in charge, had everything organized. They even started loading our clothes into wardrobe boxes (which, by the way, they provide at no additional cost when you move). The following day Dave and the guys were right on time. They moved very efficiently and were able to get our entire house onto one truck. They did not take any breaks and seemed very organized. Our new house was only 10 minutes or so down the road. They barely took 30 minutes for lunch and then started unloading. We almost had to put a couch in the garage, because Dave was not sure it could fit into the basement. All four guys managed to carry our large couch, tip it, take apart an outside light fixture, and squeeze the couch through a door in the basement. It was unbelievable and there was ZERO damage to the couch or anything outside. The move, overall, was flawless. The guys were so nice to our dog who was getting nervous as things were being loaded onto the truck and repeatedly stopped to pet him and say hello. :) After the guys left, there was an issue with one of the beds that was put together, but when I called Dave on his cell phone, he was immediately on it. One of the guys arrived first thing the next morning by himself to see what the problem was with the bed. In fact, it turns out we were missing a peg that screwed into the bottom of the bed, no doubt from one of our other nine moves. He used a piece of wood that he had in his truck and constructed his own and attached it to our bed to act as a support. He really took the time to make sure it was together properly. I cannot recommend this company enough. I would absolutely use them again and I hope to use them in the future!

Our move went great. We had to move out of our old house early in the morning of 7/31 so a walk through could be performed prior to settlement at 1pm then they left our belongings in their trucks overnight and drove 3 hours to our new home that we couldn't get into until after settlement at 10am. So they couldn't get started until close to noon. This is a very nerve racking project you have little or no control over how it is going to turn out but in the end all is well. We would recommend Top Notch Movers to anyone with the hope that everyones move will be as smooth and trouble free as our has been. Thank You, Top Notch.

The men that came to move us were polite, extremely efficient and moved our belongings with care. Not a single scratch, dent or broken item was found. Our brand new white walls were also unharmed. They were also extremely tolerant of my eager-to-help 4 year old.

20 min before the appointment, the owner called and let me know he could not be there on time. He wanted to know if we could reschedule. That for me is a deal breaker. I left work to meet, and get this quote done. When a schedule appointment is done and then the reason why the person cannot attend is that they are on another move. That is simply bad planning, and I don't want to trust a company would show up on the moving date, when they can't even keep a simple appointment for a quote. It is fair that the owner calls to reschedule and granted that is being responsive. But when this is schedule ahead of time and in the middle of a work day, you should not plan a move at the same time you have a quote meeting with a new customer.

The move went well with no unexpected surprises. A 3-man crew arrived on time and completed the move in less than 2 hours and without damage to the furnature.

The service was excellent from beginning to end. To start, the owner, Jim Pappas, came out to our house and did a lengthy review of the contents and prepared a detailed estimate. He provided good and helpful advice on items that we could pack or move on our own. His advice included details on where to get supplies at a good cost, and the areas where good advance planning on our part would result in costs savings on the packing and moving day and time and effort with unpacking at our new home. We followed his advice. We communicated a few days ahead of the move so that they knew what we had completed in advance. The packing and moving crew were both on time, courteous and professional and humorous! The whole process was smooth and as stress free as moving can be. The boxes were well marked in order to assist with the unpacking process. The advice we received on how to save on the move helped us to get the move done within the budget we had planned. We would highly recommend Top Notch!

It could not have gone better! Three very clean-cut young men showed up right on time and moved the piano with no problem. I was very impressed by how hard they worked and how respectful they were of the piano and my home. They were also very polite and friendly.

They showed up on time and completed the job within one hour of their estimate. The young men were very nice and took great care with my belongings. They even wrapped up two pieces of furniture I am going to drive down to Atlanta for my son. I had no idea how to protect the furniture for the trip and they did it for me.
