This job should not have taken an hour and a half. I was charged for either time wasted or for incompetence. I hired CT Smith to diagnose why a ceiling light would not light up and to hang it. I was shocked that the job took an hour and a half considering the simplicity of the work. I had changed every other fixture in my house but could not figure out why this light would not work. I feel like I was either taken advantage of or my pro was slow. The ceiling light was even already wired! All he had to do was test that the switch itself was dead. Somehow this took 90 minutes. He also was not prepared with the proper equipment to change the switch. A light switch seems like a necessary piece of equipment for an electrician. The pro had to go to ACE to pick one up where I was charged a significant upsell. I have more electrical work to be done here and at my other property but I will be rolling the dice again looking for a reliable company. I would not trust these guys with another job.

Came out that day and fixed the problem - several other companies said they could fix it as well and then in the end said they would have to come back. CT Smith was a quarter of the price of another quote! Passing their name on to others - amazing job done - we had taken out a wall and had them replace all the units.

I hired these guys to install some landscape lighting and I am very happy that I did. They were pretty quick, not overpriced (in my opinion),and did what they were hired to do....Im very happy and plan to add to the lighting. I will be calling on CT Smith again.

Tech Brandon was very professional and fixed my outlet problem. I commend him as I had stuff everywhere and he was able to get around it and got all my outlets in my bedroom working. Will definitely use them again. A coworker referred me to this company and she had nothing but good things to say and was very pleased with the work you did for her.

This is the second time I have hired C. T. Smith to do installations in my condo. In mid-2017, I had around 15 recessed lights, two hanging lights, several smoke detectors (on a cathedral ceiling) installed. The price was low, craftmanship great. I thought-- something's wrong, it has got to be more expensive. I hired them again in May 2019, and they turned in another great performance. The job again involved installing more recessed lighting, plus putting up to bathroom fixtures. The installers were great, kept the place clean, and did precision work. The price was right too. Having done major remodels on homes before, I am kind of hard on tradesmen who screw up jobs, exhibit incompetence, don't care about their trade. If they are ripoff artists or incompetents, it makes my blood boil. So it has always been a relaxing experience with CT Smith. I would hire them again for future electrical jobs in an instant.
