+ -1 moreThe first sign that things were going badly was when the company refused to sell me supplemental insurance after I had been told it was available (and at a time when it was too late for me to find an alternative). The move itself was a disaster - four missing boxes, my tool box and tools missing, no mattress or box spring; damage was even worse - my boxes were crushed, gouged, even opened. All my furniture is scratched and gouged and three bookcases are destroyed. My washer/dryer unit was damaged beyond repair. The owner of the company has been difficult to deal with, but his claims department is even worse - hostile, rude, and obstructionist. This entire situation has been a mess and I am having to hire an attorney to seek recovery.
Description of Work: Golden Hands was hired to move me from Virginia to Texas. I packed my own boxes, and Golden Hands was expected to wrap all of my furniture, load my property onto a truck, and deliver it all to Houston. Golden Hands did not adequately wrap my furniture and while everything was loaded onto their truck, not everything made it through the move.
