+ -1 moreWe received a very reasonable proposal from Beltway to have our glass shower doors installed in our recently renovated master bathroom and were recommended to this company by our contractor. Well when we had questions about the type of glass to be installed and questions on the hinges and shower door handle, I was told by the person who answered the phone that they will only deal with my contractor and will only move ahead on these jobs if paid 100% up front. I told the person that I did not know anything about this company and would pay them a deposit and that other companies accepted 30 to 35% and that would be acceptable to me. It was not for them and either 100% or nothing so we walked. Very unprofessional.

+ -1 moreThey were very professional and helpful. They made an extra effort to find very thin mirror glass that I needed for one medicine cabinet, saving me the time, effort, & cost of replacing the entire cabinet. Two of the big box stores told me that such glass was no longer made.
Description of Work: Beltway Glass cut two mirrors for me for very old medicine cabinets.

+ -1 moreWe contacted them in December and they never ended up doing the work. The representative lied about their situation and wouldn't refund the money. I was able to get a refund through my credit card company. We ended up hiring someone else to finish the project.
Description of Work: I hired Beltway Glass and Mirrors to install some glass in a bathroom that we were remodeling.

+ 0 moreThey did not keep scheduled appointments; did not call to say they were not coming and have not sent me a refund for the unfinished work as requested.
Description of Work: In October 2011, my husband and I paid Beltway Glass $2700.00 to replace the glass in 15 windows of our home . This is a custom home and the window dimensions are unusual . We have used Beltway Glass in the past with favorable results. They came out and measured then returned and installed 13 of the 15 windows, but had to return because two windows did not fit. Two weeks went by and I called them to get an update and was told that they would return to complete the installation on Oct 11th. I took the day off and waited; when they did not show up by noon I called and was told that they were not coming; that someone was supposed to have called me the night before. The install was re-scheduled for the following week; again I took the day off and once again they did not show - no call. I called again and asked for a refund for the 2 windows; I was disappointed by their lack of customer service. I was told that the owner would return my call - he never did! One week later I called again; this time speaking with the owner, Paul. He told me that he would send me a refund check. Two weeks later, no check. I called again; this time Paul claimed that his bookkeeper had been away and he assured me that he would send my refund check. That was on 11/30/2011! I am still awaiting my refund. I have since filed a complaint with the Maryland Better Business Bureau. This is really disappointing because we have used this company in the past and were satisfied with their work. This experience has been a nightmare and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY!

Description of Work: I had a small piece of glass 2' x 4' and surrounding steel mounting pieces cut for my shower.

+ -1 moreTHEY RETURNED OUR CALL IN LESS THAN 24 HRS. AND CAME OUT TO OUR HOUSE FOR A CONSULTATION. WITHIN TWO HOURS THEY HAD THE PLAN IN PLACE. THE CENTER WALL BETWEEN THE WINDOWS WOULD BE THE IDEAL LOCATION FOR THE MIRROR. TWO WEEKS LATER THEY INSTALLED THE MIRROR AND EVEN HELPED INSTALL THE BALLET BAR.
Description of Work: IN REMODELING OUR DAUGHTER'S ROOM, SHE DECIDED SHE WANTED A BALLET BAR AND MIRROR AS PART OF THE DESIGN.
