Description of Work: These guys were really good, very professional and curteous. Cleaned up after the job and even locked the basement door for me when finished. Know for a fact that my air ducts may never have been cleaned since the house was built in 1958! Needless to say, the system was quite dirty, as I knew it. Because of the small system in my house it took them about an hour to finish the job, sanitizing the ducts at the finish. Feel happy and satisfied that the duct work is finally cleaned and refreshed, and working just great. Now I can breathe a lot better. Thanks to Angie's list, getting professionals who are trustworthy and polite, is now possible as opposed to hunting through phone books and newspapers and not knowing who you're going to get that is reliable. Heard a lot of horror stories about non-qualified, unlicensed, contractors working on jobs.

Description of Work: Had never had it done since I bought 10 years ago - wow the junk they found! And the camera is a great add on. Wll use these guys annually now that we have a baby at home. Highly recommend!

Description of Work: The gentlemen came and put a hole in the main air duct coming from the furnace. One gentleman went through the house getting all the vents cleaned and then worked on getting the return ducts cleaned as well. Be sure to make enough room for them to get to all vents and returns. Job was done well.

Description of Work: Duct cleaning outlets and returns. Let some "dust bunnies" around some of the ducts, and missed collecting one of the company's foam baffles left in an ourtlet. I have no idea how clean the ducts are now or how much dirt was removed. I'll have to trust them on that.

Description of Work: The team was extremely professional. The team also provided additional assessments without the expectations of additional payment. Conducted a full analysis and provided different options with keeping the homeowner in mind. When had additional concerns after the service sent out a member to address the concerns and stayed actively involved and concerned with resolving problems. Would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for professionalism, and general concern for the homeowner.

Description of Work: Arrived as promised, explained what they were going to do and what they would need. Informed me of their findings and suggested remedies with no hard sell tactics. Very professional and clean in process of cleaning ducts and dryer vent as well as very considerate of my needs and concerns.

Description of Work: I signed up for the Angie's $199 Deal to have my ducts cleaned. I received a call that day to schedule my appointment, within an hour, actually. The woman was very firendly and gave me all information that I requested about the proceedure. On the day of service, I was called 30 mins prior to the arrival of the technicians and they arrived right on time. The Techs were very knowledgable about the process and explained everything to me fully. They even showed me the tools they would be using and how they worked, in each situation. They found mold on some of my vents and suggested, without pressure, to have a moldicide spray put into my ducts. The price was very reasonable and they did show me the evidence of mold. I asked what could cause the mold and the Head Tech said that dirty coils are usually the culprit. He checked the coils and said they were a bit dirty but not too bad. I asked to have them cleaned as again, the price was right and he showed me the evidence. The Techs were extremely friendly and efficient. They also cleaned my dryer vent, for an additional cost but again, it was very reasonable. The guys were in and out in under 2 hours. They cleaned up after themselves and after they left, it was like they were never there. I am extremely pleased with the service and I will call them again in a few years to repeat.

Description of Work: the absolute worst company i have ever dealt with. set up an appoinment for service not an estimate, then they called and cancelled the agreeded apon apoinment. they said they dont come to our location ( after knowing our address and setting up service appointment) also they had a sick employee ( its a business i work when im sick). my opion is this company is very unproffesional and lazy!!!!

Description of Work: They arrived on time. They determined that my air ducts cannot be cleaned with the equipment they had since I live in a condo building. They then explained how I could clean the system myself and did not charge me a single penny. Since I paid for their work in advance (it was a deal on Angie's List), they reimbursed me the next day. Wow, I am impressed by their honesty and professionalism.

Description of Work: Air Duct Pros originally serviced our home in Sept. 2009. We contracted for the premium air duct cleaning (unlimited supply and return vents ducts, main return and supply lines, furnace cabinet & chamber cleaning, all service openings, access panels and free inspection of the coil & blower fan per system) for $199.00. There were 2 technicians (Randy S. and Drew S.). The lead technician told me he found mold in the returns and with a toddler he strongly recommended that for an additional fee I get the sanitation cleaning. When I declined, he seemed annoyed and a little angry. His technician helper pulled me aside and said he has a small child so he was willing to do the sanititation for free. Stupid me, I was thankful for his generosity so I gave (only) him a tip. That day we inserted a new filter. Four weeks later, I pulled out the filter and saw that it was filthy so I replaced it with a new filter. Another four weeks later, I inspected the filter and found it to be filthy again so I called Air Duct Pros and said we might have a problem. They were very responsive in setting up an appointment to have their technicians inspect the ducts. Two different technicians showed up and explained that Randy and Drew were terminated from the company because of performance issues as well as scamming customers. Apparently, they were telling customers they discovered mold in the home and pocketing the money. The new technicians found that the return ducts were not cleaned. They cleaned the ducts and did not charge me for the visit. They were both professional and pleasant. I understand that companies can sometimes hire unethical employees. I gave them a "C" grade equivalent to a "fair" rating because on the one hand they were quick to remedy the problem, however, on the other hand I spent $30 to replace three filters because of their unsatisfactory work.

Description of Work: I wasn't present for the initial meeting and authorized work to be done over the phone. As a result, when the final bill was presented I was in sticker shock over the price which was per heating/cooling unit not just for the whole house. In our home we have two units so at $199 each the basic bill came to $400. With that said, there was no pressure from the professional to add on services, which I added myself that included a complete sanitization of our attic unit- it had rust and possibly mold growing on it- the tech showed me exactly where with a flashlight and climbed up into the attic with me and carefully explained everything including the price for this service $99. The dryer vent cleaning did not go well but the vent was inherently flawed- no problem caused by Air Duct Pros- but as a result of the duct being disjointed, the dryer cleaning brush got stuck outside the vent work and actually caused a spark. The tech shut-down all the power, and had to cut his brush off leaving a portion in the drywall/vent. He apologized profusely and went to Home depot to get us a temporary venting system for the dryer while another duct repair company could fix the duct. He had someone call me that afternoon within an hour if his departure and they were out to fix the problem the next business day. All in all, very professional and thorough but expensive.

Description of Work: The gentleman in charge brought two assistants. They arrived on time and were careful in removing the vent covers and they showed me how much dust had accumulated in the vents. There was one add on for a mold protector...I did not want the "add on" for the furnace coil cleaning. They did the job quickly and left. I did not watch them to their cleaning so can't tell you exactly what they did.
