They did a good job. They came when they were supposed to and left the house in good shape. I would work with them in the future.

I recently purchased our 22 year-old home in Columbia MD and the previous owners were smokers. As part of smoke smell abatement process, we decided to have the air ducts cleaned by an Angie's list top-rated company. Also, the dryer vent was completely plugged and unusable. The Duct Pro crew was prompt and professional and the duct system was very much in need of cleaning (an 8 on a scale of 10) and the results were excellent and well worth the money. Before they arrived, I had purchased new replacement covers for the return vents and six in-wall vents which the Duct Pro crew installed them for me at no additional change. Unfortunately, they missed two supply vents and were not able to locate the exhaust hole vent for my dryer duct despite crawling under my deck and bushes. As a result, my dryer duct was not cleaned and I was not changed for it. Later that day I located the dryer vent outlet myself and then had to clean it by physically removing about 30 feet of ductwork and cleaning each piece separately . After dislodging about six pounds of crusty dryer lint and reassembling the entire system it now clean and works fine. Obviously, it would have been well worth the money to have Duct Pros clean my dryer vent, but we simply could not find the outlet while they were at my home. If you are a new home owner having your ducts cleaned, I recommend you carefully locate and note all of your returns, supply vents and dryer vent outlet in advance to aid the crew since there is no way they can know everything about your home layout.

Scheduled online very easily. They called that day an hour ahead of time to see if they could come a little earlier. Cleaned up after themselves. Very careful not to let cats out when coming and going. Owners before us had a lot of birds. We didn't smell them after this. Process does aggravate allergies for a day or so afterward.

Great! Easy to schedule, on-time arrival, techs were easy to work with, great with kids, showed me the coils and talked about options to deal with mold, cleaned up after themselves beautifully, didn't take forever to get it all done. Great!

They arrived on time, with four men to work on our job, rather than the usual two. We expected the job to take between 3-4 hours, but because they had extra men they were done in about 2 hours. They were all very polite and very professional and took the time to explain the process to me in detail. They were careful to clean up after themselves and returned everything to it's proper place. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

We received a phone call about 30 minutes before the crew of three arrived. I was fine with much of the company's work. I think our house was the third house of the day, and they stayed for about 1.5 hours. The lead technician, Dwayne, was nice enough to show me inside the SUPPLY vents, and how he maneuvered the brush inside the supply vents, and also let me look at the filters when he was finished. They cut out two additional holes in my ducts, which was fine...BUT they actually never asked me, they just did it. The new holes were sealed up well after they were all finished. He also deducted $5 to replace a high quality filter that ended up getting dirty from the forced air. They also didn't charge me for the dryer vent cleaning since my hose was less than 5 ft. A spray was offered, but I declined since I am pregnant. I did have to remind them to clean up the dust from the supply vents and also the dryer lint on the outside, which they actually should've used another collection unit other than my garbage can labeled "yard trim". Actually not too much lint came out even though Dwayne predicted a lot...I didn't check inside of the dryer vent hose (like the member report from aug 20, 2010), but I do hope/trust that it was cleaned thoroughly. He also suggested to replace the hose with one continuous piece since there were several pieces of hose taped together. The crew also found that there was a vent that at some point was probably disconnected and advised that if I wanted to have it working again, I may need a mechanical contractor, which was helpful to know. However, here is my main complaint: Dwayne said that the RETURN ducts needed only to be blown out since air just flows out, and that it was the supply ducts that need to be paid attention (with brushes). I believed him since I trusted him. After the crew left, I noticed that the vent covers on the return ducts were never removed and they still are dirty/dusty. In comparison, the supply vent covers were all taken off and washed off in a plastic basin they brought (using the hose in our front yard) and replaced the cover using hex screws (which I'm actually not sure if the hex screws are is better or worse than philips head screws). I thought the inside of the ALL of the ducts were supposed to be brushed...and so I would've liked to have seen the inside of the supply ducts as well, but I never did. For this I lower some of my grades, since the supply ducts are still half of the system, right? Also, I returned to the website, and it does say that "Once the supply side of the system has been completely cleaned, the return duct system is cleaned using the same method." This is not what I observed. I hope to follow up directly with the company, or that they will follow up with me, too. I would say "maybe" to using the company again...I would hope that they have an explanation for the supply ducts. Also I wouldn't mind paying the quoted AL member price as long as I know the job is done well and thoroughly.

First, the day after we set up our appointment, they called when another time slot opened up to see if we wanted it. That's attentive. On the actual day, they arrived at the start of their time window and completed the job a bit early. They kept me apprised of everything they were doing and showed me before and after views at various points.

The team arrived slightly early (after asking permission to do so). They were courteous and helpful. They showed me what they were doing, they attempted to be clean and cause no damage (e.g., when removing covers). They did the job well, and they cleaned up completely, moved furniture back in place etc. They vacuumed the ducts and also sprayed with sanitizer. I had intended to have them clean the upstairs ducts, but they took a look and said they were very clean (apparently, most debris gets in by falling down the ducts on lower floors; not an issue with upstairs ducts). They offered to clean the evaporator coil for the upstairs a/c instead, saving me almost $200. I was very happy with this company's price and quality. Would repeat.

I am so impressed with the work that was done in my home by this company. The three workers arrived at my home at approximately 8:20 am and departed around 10:00 am. They were veryprofessional and courteous and explained everything within the process to me. They treated my home with respect, to include cleaning up after themselves. As I sit here and type this, I can smell the slight scent of the refreshing sanitizer that they used. The air actually feels a lot lighter in here. I truly appreciate the great work!

Very thorough and complete job of not only cleaning and deodorizing the vents, but provided me with invaluable information about system functions and maintenance.

When I called the company to schedule the service, I did tell them that I had 2 heating systems - upstairs and downstairs. They were only able to clean the lower level ducts. They did not have hoses to reach the upper ducts (from the attic), but apparently very few companies have this capability. They explained the problem well and recommended that I call other companies. Although they did a good job, I wish I knew upfront that they couldn't clean the upstairs ducts.

This was an excellent experience. The technicians were prompt and professional. They did a great job of explaining the process and took extra care of my home and its furnishings.

The appointment was rescheduled twice, once to a later date, once to an earlier date. Both times, Melissa was prompt and courteous with her requests. Once the appointed date arrived, the techs called about 10 minutes before they arrived and came within the scheduled window. They advised me that they would have to cut an access vent into the main supply vent and asked if that was ok. I agreed. They also mentioned that deodorizing was included in the bid price, but that I could decline if I wished. I chose to have it done. They hooked up a large vacuum hose to the main supply vent, then removed all vent covers and blocked them to create negative pressure. Once that was done, they used a large brush connected to a drill to clean out each supply vent in turn. When that was complete, they removed the one return vent they could get off. They advised me that they would need to cut an additional access hole for the second return vent, which I approved. They they cleaned the return vents (which were caked with lint and dust) until they looked new. They then replaced all vent covers, using new hex-head screws. They also patched both access holes perfectly. Finally, they cleaned up completely after they were finished. They also gave me good advice on air filters. All in all a perfect experience.

In the beginning it was a positive. The appointment that was scheduled had to be re-scheduled by them (notified about 3 hours before they were to arrive) for the following week as their workmen were at a job and it turned out there was more than one system. When the workmen arrived the next week (3 of them) it appeared that the supervisor looked at a/c unit and told me that they would be bringing in their equipment through the basement. As it turned out, the other workmen just came through the front door. The apparent supervisor asked me if there was a Home Depot close by that he needed to get some deodorizer. He also asked me if I wanted him to pick up any air filters for me. I declined the offer of filters and off the supervisor went. The other two worked hard for a good hour but it seemed to me that one of the guys was new as the younger worker was explaining how and why things went the way they did. The "supervisor" came back about 10 minutes before job was finished and asked me if I wanted to get my dryer vent cleaned (additional $45) I said yes and according to him there woud be nothing left in the dryer vent as it was a very strong suction. Later that day, my husband inspected and we took a picture of the inside of the dryer vent (quite dusty) and advised ADP, they refunded the additional charge. When we went outside we noticed that one of the workers left the outside dryer vent dust around the shrubs..and half a tortilla on the outside window edgel, hardly a professional clean. Also, the supervisor left 2 filters of ours laying around the LR (they were inside the a/c closet) as well as large dust with debris outside of our slider. Overall, they did a poor job on cleaning up after themselves.

Air Ducts Pro's did a terrific job. They called me in the morning to tell me exactly when they would be there and then arrived well on time. They got right down to work and explained each phase of the operation to me as it was undertaken and completed. They even replaced my air filter free of charge and explained to me why I needed to replace it more often than I have been. They were courteous and clearly knew what they were doing. I would happily fork over my money to them again if necessary, and I will recommend them to any friends or family in need of this service.

Service was great, the crew was friendly, courteous, and a little early! When they arrived, they immediately got to work closing vents and removing registers to create negative airflow. The vents that were removed were washed (bonus!) and then replaced with new screws. There was an issue with the large return in the basement but working with Duane we were able to come up with a solution and the duct work was cleaned. Overall I was very pleased and would use them again and would recommend them to friends.

I found Air Duct Pros, Inc. on Angie's List and noticed that the company had received the Super Service Award several years in a row for air duct cleaning. I decided to hire them for this service AND take advantage of their summer special for Angie's List members: $299. I also opted to get my dryer vent cleaned too for an additional $25. From the start, my experience with this company was great. When I called to schedule an appt., the contact person Melissa was pleasant and professional. I was able to get an appt. for when I wanted (the following week). The day of the appt., the team leader Duane called ahead to let me know they were on their way and gave me their expected time of arrival (which was within the time frame previously scheduled). They arrived on time. Both Duane and his helper Greg were polite and professional. They seemed very knowledgeable and did a great job. I'm a first-time homeowner, and this was the first time I had ever had my air ducts and dryer vent cleaned (not a first for the property, just for me). Therefore, I couldn't help following D & G around at times to see what they were doing. To their credit, they were not threatened at all by this; rather, they noticed my curiosity, started explaining what they were doing and why, and answered all my subsequent questions. I learned a few things more about my place than I did before they came! These guys are awesome! After they left, there was an issue with the dryer vent slats that needed to be addressed, and I called Melissa as soon as I realized. She graciously agreed to have D & G come back to my place the next day to care of it. They came as promised...no attitude or B.S. They were all so very nice AND reliable and trustworthy. I'm very satisfied with the way my job worked out, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them to anyone else.

Airduct called 30mins into my 2 hr window to say their previous job had run over and they would be a little late. I thought that was very considerate. The entire crew of 3 was well organized, polite, courteous, efficient. Explained what needed to be done, did it, cleaned up and were done in about an hour. Would definitely call them again.

I set up an appointment to have my ducts cleaned. Melissa was very helpful in making the arrangements. The technicians were prompt, courteous, worked efficiently, left my house clean, and charged what I expected. At this point everything seemed wonderful. However everything was not wonderful when I inspected the ducts. Some ducts, e.g. the ducts leading to the registers, were very clean. Some, mainly the return ducts were not quite clean; but the misses were in obscure places and seemed to be excusable. On the other hand, the main ducts leading off the furnace were not clean. In particular, the bottoms were lightly covered with dirt. When I ran my fingers over them, they came out dirty. So I assumed that some mistake had been made and asked them to come back. They came back a week later. When I showed them what I had observed, the lead technician became somewhat aggressive. He seemed to be insulted that I had even inspected the ducts. He said that I should only have called them back If I saw dust blowing out of the registers. This struck me as being quite unreasonable. I believe that it is not only my right to inspect their work, but they should have no objection unless they're trying to hide something. Furthermore he said it was highly unreasonable for me to expect them to have removed that dirt and did not do any further cleaning. I believe that it was not unreasonable for me to expect the duct to be clean, naive maybe, but not unreasonable, particularly after I'd seen their web site which shows "before and after" pictures of the same type of duct. In the "after" picture, the duct appears to be as clean as a whistle. When they were leaving, the technician probably summed up the situation. He said that I had not paid much for the service (true), that I had gotten what I paid for (possibly true, but certainly not what I expected from the web site), and that if I wanted a thorough cleaning, it would cost me a lot more money. He said around $800.

I found out about them through an Angie's List special and I am very happy that I did. They called ahead to let me know approx when they would arrive. They were punctual and very careful with my home. They were very thorough and showed me some of the results of the cleaning. The air in the house already feels cleaner. I will use them again.

We had thot about having our ducts cleaned after remodeling work we had done last year. When Angie's List offered a special we decided it was the right time. Air Duct Pros were great to work with. We had a date scheduled several weeks out but, when they had a cancellation, they called us. They were very professional, careful and kept us informed of everything they were going to do. They were even understanding and took care to upset our cat as little as possible.

Air Duct Pros did an excellent job cleaning all the ducts in the house and they made sure that the floors were left without dust. They also explained in detail what they were going to do and why they were using specific machines. I did not give them the highest rating for punctuality because they left later than usual the morning of my appointment and were in heavy traffic and were late for my appointment. They were very sorry and jumped right in with starting the duct cleaning. They were very professional and took great care in moving furniture and anything else that involved getting to the ducts. I would highly recommend this company.

Overall I am extremely happy with their service. They arrived on time and finished on time. They price quoted was the price paid and they even did a quick fix repair job for me for one vent that had fallen into the subfloor. Extremely professional, very nice guys that were in and out in no time at all. And the amount of dirt that they cleaned from the system was unbelievable. Highly recommend Air Duct Pros and I will be using them every time the ducts need to be cleaned.

Very pleasant experience. I used the online scheduling, got an immediate confirmation email, was then contacted by email about possibly rescheduling (no problem). The day of servicing, Melissa called to ask if it was okay if they came early and to assure me if it wasn't, they would wait until my scheduled appointment time. The technicians were fast, friendly and did a very thorough job - they even showed me a few tricks specific to my system (downdraft model). The servicing took over an hour, even on our smaller, single-story home. I think we're all breathing better since their visit and it's so nice to know we aren't inhaling all the junk that was in our ducts. I'm adding Air Duct Pros to my regular maintenance rotation and have already recommended them to family in the area.

I contacted Air Duct Pros and two other vendors based upon Angies List reviews. Air Duct Pros was the most responsive, seemed the most 'professional' in terms of an established company, and provided a quote at the same price as the others. They were available for the date I requested and showed up maybe 20-30 minutes late. That was fine because I was late myself and they waited for me and were nice about it. They provided the service noted above. There were two people, one who was more senior and clearly knew what he was doing, and a second person who assisted and followed instructions. Both were professional and went about doing the work quickly and cleanly. In addition to providing the service, the senior person educated me on the systems in the house (this house is my first experience with central air). He did point out other services I could request (now or in the future), but did not in any way make it a hard sell...it was more like "something to consider going forward". OVERALL I was quite satisfied with the service and would recommend them to others. While I don't feel qualified to fairly assess the quality of their work (or any air duct cleaner), Air Duct Pros did the things right that I could verify, i.e., they scheduled when I needed them, they showed up on time, they were professional while on site, they worked hard, and made it an educational experience for me as someone who never had central air before.
