I like how they showed me how they looked prior to cleaning, and then gave me the opportunity to inspect afterward. They did a good job and it seems to have improved the air flow through the system (making some rooms warmer or colder as a result, of course).

 + 0 moreI thought that while they were here they were doing a good job so I decided to pay them extra to clean out my dryer vent. When they did that, I realized stuff was going to come out from the dryer vent but it went out onto the deck and they didn't really clean it up. For weeks and weeks afterwards we were sweeping up dryer vent lent off the back deck. It was fine. I don't know if I would rush out to use them. Also, because they had to remove the return cover on the air duct in the upstairs hallway, I noticed there were different screws they put in when they put it back. They said they were obligated to use the different screws, that there was a change in code. Now there is a nail pop to the right of the air return which he said was already there. I am 99% certain it was not, but since I could not prove it I let it go. That was a little disappointing also because we are going to have to eventually get that taken care of.

 + 0 moreWe purchased a coupon through Angie's list for whole house duct cleaning. Then we added the dryer duct cleaning. Scheduling was simple via email. Then we were offered earlier dates (which was nice) but we stuck with our original date because it was most convenient for us. The technicians came on time and were quite professional. They brought huge equipment which connected to our ducts near the air handler in the basement. It was loud and scared our cats, but that was inevitable and expected. They also did some brushing of the duct areas near the individual air vents throughout the house. The whole process took a couple of hours. We were pleased with the punctuality and professionalism and would recommend this firm to others.

 + 0 moreIt went really well. They origionally suggested an appointment about 6 weeks out. I said I needed service before then, so they adjusted the appointment to meet my needs. They were lovely about it. The dispacher ve me an appointment between 1-3pm. At 12:30 I got a call saying they would be there at 1 pm. They were. The were nice people who explained what they were going to do before they did it. I requested additional work while they were here, fully aware that it was an opportunity to gouge me. They didn't. It was a reasonable price. All of the work that was done was done well. They were respectful of my house and kind to my dog. I moved into the house about a month before calling. Shortly after moving in, I noticed a really bad smell. I cleaned everything in the house several times and finally decided it must be the air handling system. Which is why I called. I no longer have an odor and the dust level is really low. I'm very happy with the work I had done.

 + 0 moreI was pleased with most of the work that they did. What I was not pleased about was that they tore the paint and dry wall when removing an exhaust vent cover that had been evidently painted to the wall. I did not see the tear till later as it was at the bottom of the cover close to the floor. When they replaced the vent cover they used new protruding/raised hex head screws that looked awful and created new holes. (The original flush headed screws were pitched.) They did not have any flush headed screws that would work. Later, I replaced the screws, patched and painted the wall.
Description of Work: This company cleaned the air ducts and the lengthy dryer vent.

 + -1 moreThe team arrived on time, explained what they would do and set to work. They performed the duct cleaning in about 45 - 60 mins and the ducts are noticibly cleaner. While performing the cleaning, they pointed out some mold on the interior wiring on the furnace. Their fix was to spray a solution onto the wires. This was not mold abatement, just something to keep the mold from growing. They charged me $100.00 just to spray a few easily assessible wires, which brought the $199.00 special up to $299.00. After I thought about it, I felt this was not a good option to take. UPDATE: I recently had service performed on my HVAC system, and asked about the $100.00 I paid for mold spray. I was told that the only way to effectively address mold in the HVAC is using an ultra violet light, and that a spray will not do an effective job at killing or stopping the spread of mold in the furnace. So it appears that the $100.00 was truly a bad investment.

 + -1 moreIt was a very positive experience. The crew was professional, organized, expedient, efficient, and polite.
Description of Work: Original hire was for duct cleaning at $199. Because of past basement flooding, the contractor suggested application of mold cleaner for an additional $100. In hindsight, a more-informed decision to add that cleaner would have been more prudent, i.e., I would like to have (1) *seen* what they used, (2) taken a moment to look it up online, and (3) watched how it was used. However, from prior experience at my previous residence, I didn't want to take any chances with mold and convinced myself that $100 was a small fee to pay for safety. I'll know to ask more questions next time. As for the regular cleaning, it was amazing to see how much debris was in the ductwork before the crew got started. Yuck! I had been in the house 3 years but I could only surmise that the previous owners did not do any ductwork cleaning. The contractor/crew brought very powerful equipment and set up outside the rear basement door. As they went from room to room throughout the house, it was impressive to see debris expelled from a wide flexible hose that had been extended halfway down the backyard, away from the house.

 + -1 moreTwo-man team came on time; got right to work. My only hesitation was the treatment for mold that cost extra, another $100. I relied on the workmen's recommendation. This may or may not have been a necessary extra but there was no sales pressure. Overall, I was very happy with the job.
Description of Work: A/C ductwork on my first floor (where I have an A/C system) was cleaned using a super strong vacuum, and ducts cleaned with chemical for some mold.

After inspection of the air ducts, the head technician suggested I get the sanititation service since I had several animals and it had been so long since the last cleaning. It was an additional $100 and there was no high pressure sales tactic used. I agreed. They were in and out in less than an hour. I highly recommend this company.
