Christopher Nelson Wallcovering and Painting

Chris never did the job. In February when I requested the estimate, I told him the painting would need to be done after I had the new bamboo flooring installed (estimated at that time to be sometime in March). We agreed that late March would be an acceptable start date. After I accepted his proposal on February 23, I stated the flooring would not get started for at least another two weeks and that painting would most likely have to occur in April. Chris emailed me back stating that this would be much better for him. On March 14, I let him know that the floors would be done by the end of the week and he could start any time after that. He emailed me back stating that now he would not be available until May. On March 16, I reluctantly agreed to this time extension. On March 19, Chris emailed me stating that he would not do the job and suggested I find another painter. This required us to start over on trying to find a new painting contractor. I do not know why Chris led me on and then pulled out at the last minute. In my opinion, he realized that this was a very big job and that he significantly underestimated his bid. His bid was approximately 40% to 50% of the other bidders.

Mr. Nelson was very professional, and the finish product was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this service provider, we will be!

Chris provided an accurate estimate, and completed the work promptly, and to my satisfaction. All of the rooms look great!

We orginally hired a painter from the local newspaper that provided an estimate, and agreed on a start date of 2/1/2010 at 9:00 am. We removed all the furniture from the room the night before into our dining room. This painter did not show up, bother to call, or answer our calls. We found Mr. Nelson on Angies list later that afternoon and he responded immediately to give us an estimate and was here at 7:00 the very next morning. He was very polite, professional and we are more than pleased with the quality of his work. We truely appreciate his quick response.
