+ -1 moreWorkers were very efficient and polite. They were there at the time and day that was given to me during the initial contact. Removed everything and cleaned up the yard surrounding the tree area as well. Would use them again if needed. High recommendation for anyone looking for tree/stump removal.
Description of Work: Removed a large tree in front yard that had been blown over due to a storm.

+ -1 moreAgain, we contacted Carbaugh's. My husband actually spoke to them about what work we wanted done, and they said they would be by to check it out and send an estimate--NEVER HAPPENED. Here it is almost two months later, with messages left with them and NOTHING back from them. Apparently, they are doing well enough in this economy that they can afford to turn away business. This is no way to do business. IF you are not interested in the work, tell people.
Description of Work: A few years ago, we contacted Carbaugh's to remove two large trees, as well as remove several trees in an empty lot for a neighbor who lived out of town. We received a written contract from them which we agreed to, signed and sent back waiting for a call from the company to do the work. Six weeks later, we saw them come to the empty lot to remove the trees for the out-of-town owner. Seeing them there, we thought they would be back the next day to do ours, but we never saw them again. We called them several times over the next month or two, leaving messages but NO response from Carbaugh's. Since that time, we contracted with another company to remove the trees, that work has been completed, except for the stump grinding. In March, we cut down a large tree in our front yard by ourselves. We now need to have (4) stumps to be ground.

+ -1 moreTimely return of initial phone call and scheduling of free estimate. All services provided as discussed during free estimate meeting and started and completed in timely fashion. Quality satisfactory. Of three estimates received, this was the lowest priced. All personnel pleasant and professional. I would definitely consider using this service again.
Description of Work: Services rendered: Significant pruning of large maple. Shaping of four large hollies, one dogwood. Pruning of magnolia branches from around electrical wires, Clean up.

+ -1 moreMr Carbaugh sent two crews on Monday 5/7/2012 to prune the trees in my back yard. My wife and I were not home at the time. It was my understanding tha Mr Carbaugh was to call me at the first of the week to schedule the crews due to weather. He called at 7AM on monday morning and left a message on our answering machine that his crews were coming. We were out of town and did not get back until monday evening. when we arrived to our surprise the trees were pruned. in looking at the trees, not all branches were taken off. further, it was agreed that the chips would be left for me to use as mulch. That was not done. Further concerning the chips, I have continually asked Mr Carbaugh to deliver chips to my property as agreed. It has taken from May to September to get that done. Just delivered the chips this past week.
Description of Work: pruning of large trees in our back yard wih a bucket truck.

+ -1 moreI was given an estimate for the entire job, which I felt was fair, and also a date when they would come and preform the service. They came on the date given, completed the service, cleaned up my yard when finished, and were professional throughout.
Description of Work: Following a recent storm, a major limb and numerous smaller branches were torn from a large Japanese Maple tree in my back yard. Even though this was on a Saturday when many businesses are closed - Carbaugh's Tree Serv. aanswered my call and came to look at the tree and give me an estimate within the hour. Given the size of the tree and forseeing other possible problems with more 'falling limbs' over the coming winter - as a precaution - I asked the service to also "prune and thin" the remainer of the tree.
