YOU HAVE AN INCORRECT ADDRESS for Burke Ashpalt Sealcoating. It is 975 Wayne Ave., CHAMBERSBURG, PA 17201 This service was performed at my home in Hagerstown on 9/22/11, with a 2 year guarantee. Today is 9/19/13. He sprayed the cracks and sealer on the driveway. Killed 2 of my mums (flowers) with overspray. The cracks were not filled completely. He went to Lowes, purchased 2 bags of asphalt and put them at the end of my driveway. The "apron" sunk into the ground and all the water runoff from the street was pooling at the end of my driveway. I talked to him and he said he would come back and fix it. In March of 2012 I emailed him: "I would like to know when you are coming back to finish the apron on my driveway. I have more of a muddy mess than before you started! Please contact me asap." He replied "it got too late in the season to do it. As soon as it gets a little warmer I will add to the apron patch." I emailed him again on 6/9/2012; "I did not request a "patch". I expected to have a professional apron put on my driveway, not just $10.00 bags of asphalt poured in. The cracks in the drive were not filled, and you sprayed and killed 2 of my mums. I would like my $500.00 refunded. I understand you are licensed and insured." His response: "The job was to expand the apron and seal the drive, we did that. When you said it was sinking I gave Dennis some money for more asphalt, that's all I can do. If you want a hot mix apron the minimum cost for hot mix is $1500". I emailed him back and basically told him I could have gone to Lowes, purchased 2 bags of asphalt and did it myself. I also told him Dennis had nothing to do with this. I requested that he refund my money or or redo the job correctly. He never responded. Dennis is a man that I had doing odd jobs around my house, and he said Patrick gave him $10.00 to get a bag of asphalt. He was working for Patrick Burke on the side, as were others, none of which were employees of Mr. Burke, he paid them under the table, and many times had to wait weeks, even months to get their money. I emailed him again on August 4, 2013, telling him I have grass growing through the cracks, and it had been a year since he said he would come back and make the repairs, his warranty is 2 years, and that I do believe it is warm enough now. I never got a response. On 9/23/13 the warranty will be up and I will soon be forced to file a suit against him in court.
