ALLEGHENY GLASS & MIRROR SVC

A lovely gentleman upon doing work in our home accidentally broke one our windows. He asked that we get an estimate. After asking around to several neighbors we were told to hire Hagerstown Paint and Glass. We called them and they sent a professional out to measure. (Without breaking or damaging anything) The next day Allegheny Glass showed up. I actually asked if they changed their name, no I was told. I will later find out that our serviceman called them. The guy came in and preceded to pop off several pieces of trim which cracked and separated molding. This caused a huge mess of wood and paint on our floor. I stepped away to take a call only to come back to witness them doing this to another large custom window. I heard my husband explaining that he only wanted an estimate and they had now damaged the framing and new tint on another window. With no apology they left. I explained this to Mike, VP project manager. He was rudely unapologetic and explained that I simply have no idea how window installation works and that the damage to our window trim, molding, tint etc was due to the frames being painted. I explained that I excused all of the damage done to take a simple measurement of the one needing replaced but not to the one that we were just inquiring about. I continued to try and explai the situation. Mike was extremely defensive and misogynistic. I later found out that my neighbor also had a horrible experience with them and needed to have another company repair Allegheny's mistakes. I do not recommend them. Service with them was canceled and we went with Hagerstown Paint and Glass.

Great. I called at 2:00 in the afternoon and they came out the same day to fix the window.
