They were very efficient, and polite, and we are very pleased with the installation and quality of the carpet

My experience was bad from the start. I went there to look for tile and the service manager would not even get up to show me the different tile types. It was like pulling teeth. I wanted a few tiles to compare prices with and he wouldn't give me choices and couldn't even explain the difference between ceramic and porcelain tiles and wouldn't give me quotes on a few different ones. I was in a bind since I was moving and buying a home quickly due to a separation and I needed tile to put down fast for an animal room and they had gotten good reviews on Angie's list and could only take a few days off so I didn't have time to shop around. He quoted me a price that I felt was high but I decided I just needed to go with it and put half down. I told him when he could come buy to measure the room , the afternoon of my closing and that the room had to be tiled and done the three days off I was able to take off of work to move. He wrote nothing down and was very blase' about the whole thing. After I left I felt really weird and I went to Petersons Carpet and tile where I spoke to Paul and he showed me a TON of different types of tile, explained them all to me, and gave me a quote of 200 dollars less without me even telling him how much Abbey Carpet was going to charge me. I then proceeded to call the service manager back at Abbey. A week had gone by and he said he would have to talk to his boss about the price and he wasn't sure if the tile was going to be in. I asked him if he was going to match Petersons price and he acted like he didn't know what I iwas talking about and then said yes. The day of my closing he showed up at 9:50AM while my Realtor and I were doing the final walk through right before our 10AM closing time after I told him to come in the afternoon at 2pm. He wasn't sorry and acted like it was my fault that he came at the wrong time and that it wasn't a big deal. I called him later and he said he didn't know when the tile was coming. A few days later on the weekend AFTER i took off of work for the week when they said they would have the job done, the SUBCONTRACTOR called me to tell me the tile was in and to call Abbey carpet to see when he could come in to do the job, I called and they said if I wanted to the job done the subcontractor would have to come in over the weekend and the following week and wasn't I the one who wanted t it done as fast as possible??? Like is was my fault when I explicitly told them if I couldn't have it installed on the 3 days I had off I would go to another company!!! The subcontractor would be to my house on Saturday at 9am they said. Well guess who was banging on my door at 7:30 AM on Saturday---the subcontractor. They were super nice and came in on SUNDAY, on their DAY OFF to finish the job so I wouldn't have to take off more work. I would totally recommend them.. Rachel's Flooring. Then of course the service manager from Abbeys called me the NEXT day (Monday) and wanted his money. He said he wanted the exact other half of the deposit. I said what are you talking about you agreed that you would match Peterson's in Frederick. He acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. Then all of a sudden he said he needed that plus extra because I also had gotten them to tile my 5x2 closet in addition to my 10x15 foot room and he had to order extra tile and grout. I said in what world was a 2x2 closet a 5x2 closet and you did NOT order more tile or grout because the guys gave me a ton of leftover tile and grout. (Which was NOT the grout color I picked out at Abbey BTW but the job was done and there was nothing I could do then) and I told him I wasn't paying for it. Then he said "so what was the price Petersons" quoted you? And I said 1700 (even though it was 1775) and all of a sudden he said "Oh you said it was 1775" and I said "oh so all of a sudden you remember!" and he said just give me seven hundred and some dollars and I said "Fine". Well apparently the guy can't even do math because it ended up being 50 dollars less than Peterson's quote. I would NEVER go back to this place.

The installers got marks all over the newly painted walls. There was no furniture in the room so it is difficult for me to understand why that would happen. After they finished, it was apparent that the carpet was defective. They agreed and offered to make a monetary adjustment. It's six months later and nothing has happened. They have given me the run around. I have called them time and time again. The thing that bothers me the most is how they handled the issue. Problems happen all the time but this was not addressed appropriately. I continue to wait for the adjustment, six months later.

Installed new hardwood floors in four upstairs bedrooms and hallway.

I was pleased at what they did they had a great selection. They were timely. They had good service.

After doing my research and getting competitor prices I already knew what kind of flooring that I wanted and about how much it should cost. The in-store salesman was knowledgable about the product and told me the pros and cons of the differerent types of underlayment. The type of underlayment Abbey Carpet recommended was what I thought was best, and this is what made my decision to use them. The Estimator came to my house to take measurements and to see what needed to be done to install the new floor. My floor had a dip in it and I was concerned that we would have a good floor installation. The Estimator said the Installer can fill it in to make the floor more level. However, when the Installer arrived, he said the only way to level the floor was going to be quite extensive, and expensive. At this point I felt misled by the Estimator. The Installer assured me the floor was okay to install the tiles as it was, and that the tiles nor the grout would crack. The Installer was quick did a very good job of installing the floor and it looks great. Everyone was prompt and did the work in the time they estimated.

Abbey Carpet and Floors weren't very friendly and weren't very helpful. I ended up using a different provider. They're kind of snobby and didn't want to help you or something. I did not like them at all.

we were going to buy from Lowes which we also get a military discount. it would have taken 5 trips between lowes and our house in order to get what we want. they offered free measuring and I explained I am almost finished with the floors so they can come out, when I was done I called lowes and was told oh no that special is no longer. it was the same person who I told the 1st time about the floors, they offered to not charge the measuring but a big kicker is their contractors do not do the binding in the home. which means they come out measure, when carpet comes in bring it out. theres 2 trips so far then measure steps again and take stair carpet back to get binded now we are up to 3 trips plus going to the store. Abbey Carpet was amazing from the time we walked in that showroom. Matt our saleman did a fantastic job. he never pushed the more expensive carpet on us and even gave us a bigger discount on top of the sale. And he also thanked us for protecting this country, which I have found is few and far in between. I have nothing but praise for Abbey Flooring and I am using them again.

They did a great job. They were on time, professional, and the service was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good flooring company.

We shopped around and finally found a knowledgeable sales person. She was not pushy and we felt comfortable with her. The floor installation team were in time and got the entire job done in about 6 hours.

THEY SCUFFED PART OF THE WALL. ALSO, SOME OF THE SEAMS IN THE FLOOR DON'T MATCH UP NEATLY. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL SERVICE AND THEY DID WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER.

THEY STILL HAVEN'T RESOLVED THE PROBLEM WE'VE HAD WITH THE FLOORING. THEY REPLACED THE ENTIRE FLOOR DUE TO WATER DAMAGE, BUT THE FLOOR IS STILL DAMAGED AND NOT DONE RIGHT. WE'VE TRIED TO CONTACT THEM; SOMEONE'S ALWAYS ON VACATION OR OUT OF THE OFFICE. THEY ARE STALLING.
