MARYLAND GROUND COVERS INC

I have been having a hard time finding a place to deliver a small amount of topsoil (2 cubic yards) for a reasonable price. I was very happy with the price that Maryland Ground Covers offered. The total cost of the soil plus delivery was what other companies charged for the delivery alone! I also had to reschedule the delivery twice and they were extremely accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone!

I called them initially to see if they had bagged mulch for delivery. Many mulch suppliers do not and I also did not want shredded mulch. They happened to have two pallets left. I was looking for what are apparently called mini nuggets and they walked out to see about how large the nuggets were. The woman on the phone ended up suggesting that I just stop by and take a look for myself, which I did. It was pretty impossible to see into the bags and get a sense of whether I was going to end up with the super large nuggets, but I decided to go with it. They delivered it on time. I got stuck with one of the pallets because it was buried when they dumped the load. Pallets are not easy to dispose, but I'll live. The mulch nuggets were much larger than I had hoped, but it looks fine.

The driver was there by 1:00 pm as promisedHe placed the load exactly where we indicated, and cleaned up the over-spillGood quality mulch, clean and uniform grade. Very satisfied.

We have gotten our mulch from this company for several years. We called them on a Monday and ordered the mulch to be delivered to our driveway on Wednesday. Wednesday evening when we arrived home, there was a huge mulch pile waiting for us. I believe that this company is very generous in their measurements, because it always seems like we end up with more than we anticipated. We get the basic double shredded, undyed mulch, and it always seems to be very good quality. It weathers nicely and keeps our flowerbeds looking good all summer long.

Great experience! As weathermen were predicting thunderstorms the delivery afternoon, that morning I called and requested that the driver throw a tarp over the pile. Unfortunately, we had a torrential downpour; I was stuck at work and assumed that a sizable portion of the soil would be washed away and what was left would take a week to dry out before I could haul it into my backyard. However, Lee (my driver) had taken the extra time to totally cover and weight down two tarps, so that my soil was not only still in place, but DRY. (I totally think a company's employees' attitudes reflects on management's attitudes.) Also - not only was the price lower than the competition, the quality is wonderful. More importantly, the service was above and beyond my expectations - a delightful surprise! Thanks!
