The Tile Shop

Excellent products and incredibly helpful staff - during the sales process. We bought tile for a bathroom remodel and the (then, since departed) assistant store manager said to go ahead and get the tile even though we didn't have a contractor lined up. This made sense to us so we agreed. When we asked about the return policy, she said just to bring back any extra. Fast forward through getting a contractor with availability during covid and our bathroom looks beautiful, approximately 10 months after we originally purchased our tile. Bringing back the extra tile (combination of excess and changes to the design), we were told that we were outside of the 90 day return window. Looking through the store, the same tile is still available. I offered to return it for half the original cost and the current manager said that he was unable to do so due to differences in dye lots and expiration dates. Expiration dates? Umm...OK. Evidently there is an expiration for Wedi products but not the tile. Ultimately, the management of the Glen Burnie, MD store would prefer the perfectly good tile go to the landfill than end up keeping half the sales price and re-selling it again. I will not go to that store again, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. As I said - they have beautiful products and the staff is great as long as there is a sale to be made. I hope this is the exception rather than the rule, but I guess I'll never know.

J.C., this is our 3rd very SUCCESSFUL direct involvement with JC, (Justin C.)! He is totally dedicated to 100% customer satisfaction. He (CJ), is prompt, pleasant and professional. His process is always the same, he locates ordered items, transports with CARE to our transport vehicle, carefully loads all items while inspecting contents to insure accurate order fulfillment and makes sure items are unbroken and in mint condition!
