The Maids

We Called the Maids prior to moving into our house. They made the place spotless. We have twice the square footage than we had in our last house, and the did a truely remarkable job, especially all of the bathrooms (4.5). It was like everything was brand new. The Movers made a mess. Could not control that. It was raining on move in day and they did the best that they could. On a follow-up call,and before the move in day, Linda mentioned that they could come back in for a touch-up. We called Cheryl the day after the move, and that same day, a team was at the house and made everything perfect, AGAIN! Wow what a team effort. My recommendation is to make sure you communicate "EVERYTHING" to them, and they will take care of it. Don't hold back. We are very picky about certain things (which there is not enough space here to display our quirks), and between Cheyrl, Linda, and Bobbi, they did not miss a thing. The team was prepared before they walked into our door, and hit every item on our list. Call them. They are "that" good!

I have employed them for about 3 years or so. The last 6 months I started noticing 2 pieces of very good, expensive jewelry missing. At first, I thought I had misplaced something or perhaps something had fallen off while I was wearing it and I was unawares. About a month ago, I went to wear an expensive ring that I rarely wear and it was gone. I knew right then I had been robbed. After thoroughly going through my jewelry I realized I was missing 7 pieces of jewelry. I knew the employees of The Maids stole the jewelry as no one has been in my house for several months except my grown adult children and young grandchildren. I have not entertained nor have I had any work persons in my house for over at least least six months which doesn't even matter because in these instances doors are locked. All The Maids did was vacuum my closet where my jewelry armoires are located and locked(but can be unlocked if the time is taken) We are talking, literally, thousands of dollars of jewelry. I filed a police report and of course have been touch with my insurance. I fired the company today. When asked why I was stopping service I explained how I had been robbed by their employees. I cannot prove this but there is no other explanation as no one but very immediate family has been in my home and having said that no on ever goes to the part of my house where my jewelry is. When I called and talked to Cheryl I explained everything. I told her I had filed a police report and offered a case number. Her response was "GOOD, WE ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE TO CALL THE POLICE" WOW! She unwittingly admitted that they are having a problem with theft. I am heartbroken because one necklace had a tremendous amount of sentimental value to me and even if I could replace it exactly, which I can't, it would not be the same. Several members of the team are what appears to be non-Englsih speaking Hispanics. It has been very difficult to commicate with them and usually my husband and I communicate with the team leader who is American. My fear is that this company is employing illegals and I just don't know how the police can follow up on perhaps suspects who may be here illegally. I do not know this for a fact, it's my conjecture, but if they have no ID's no SS# i don't know what paper trail there is to follow. I was naive in thinking there was safety in numbers. This company sent 4 people to my home which I unwittingly thought would make it more difficult for one to steal and not be seen by the others. Obviously, I was wrong.

It went great. No surprises, except just how clean a house can be.

We have been so happy with The Maids. I researched three other companies/individuals before deciding to go with The Maids, even though their pricing was the highest (though not by much). They are very thorough in their cleaning. The times that we have been home when they were there, we have seen them reaching behind furniture to clean, scrubbing high cabinets in the kitchen, and making an effort to clean everything really well. Once they even cleaned a deep fryer that I had left out on the counter. The Maids come in teams of four, so they are able to get everything done more quickly. We get a phone call the day before, reminding us of our service and what time range to expect them. They have always been on time except for once. We have had service since July 2012, with every other week service. Beginning in February 2013 we have switched to every four weeks service. We had no problem with decreasing the frequency of service, and didn't feel pressured to keep the every other week service. When we started service last July, I paid for an extra room to be cleaned but ended up canceling that room and was given a price decrease with no problems. We have only had one "problem" so far, and I wouldn't even call it a problem because it was resolved immediately. One day after a cleaning we discovered our oven mitts were missing. We weren't even sure if it was related to the cleaning. I called The Maids and spoke with Linda, asking if she knew if the cleaning ladies had accidentally taken them by mistake or moved them to another location in our house where we couldn't easily find them. She looked into it but wasn't able to give us any information. Even though we weren't sure it had anything to do with The Maids or the cleaning service, she offered a credit equal to the cost of the oven mitts, AND replaced them at no cost. We were very impressed with this, especially since we did not feel certain that any blame should have been on The Maids. The Maids really care about their customers--always striving to provide excellent cleaning service AND customer service. This is the reason why I chose The Maids rather than a less expensive company. You end up saving money in the long run because they really take care of their customers. I highly recommend The Maids!

Cleaners were punctual and performed all cleaning as requested. Have been using them for over a year with great results.

They are very good. They are very complete in what they do. They are very personable. So far we’ve enjoyed what they’ve done.

Everything is still great. I will recommend them to anybody. It’s a nice crew and all the people are nice. It’s usually the same team they send. We don’t have any trouble with them at all; they do a good job. They will also do special things if we need something done; for example, we will ask them to clean our refrigerator. They call us before they come and let us know when they are scheduled.

They are very good. We really like them. They are really good when there are changes in schedules; their customer service is great.

Had The Maids for about 2years. The initial clean was great, but every clean thereafter was missing major parts of the house. Several times they'd forget to dust, or they'd simply sweep the hardwoods instead of washing them. With small children this is unacceptable. The marks on the floor were clearly visible from a good distance away so we called and asked for a more thorough clean and they didn't come back until the next scheduled visit. Then at the next visit they still didn't clean the floors the way we asked. Then the real kicker - during all of this they sent a letter saying that they were increasing prices. Not just one letter but 2 letters over the course of the next few months. So prices increased twice, service declined and no one really seemed to care. I think they are a big company making fast money for sub par work.

They charged right around what they quoted. It was a positive experience working with them. They were very good. They did a good job. When they needed a little bit more time, they did call and confirm if that was going to be okay. There was good communication from them. Their price was very comparable. I felt that one or two things could have been done a little better. Their responsiveness was very good, very quick. They came right within the time frame that they said they would. They were very professional.

No breakage or damage in 5 years, great attitude, our 2 Yorkies love them. They will work with you for special needs or schedule changes. We love team #10 but they are all excellent. They call ahead and always on time

The cost is $148 but it will to go to $153 in December.

They do a great job. I have been using them for about a year and I have been very pleased with them. They are thorough and they do a thorough job as well. When they leave, they leave the place very clean and neat.

I have been using The Maids for months and I have been happy with them. I like that they let me know an approximate time of when they are gong to arrive. They are flexible with their scheduling. The job they do is very thorough. I have such a clean house once we they leave! I haven’t been with the company for a full year yet and I have already received one price increase.

Original: "The work was below average and the pricing was very high" UPDATED: Angie's List called and asked for a review and I can't really recall what I said, but I remember this was shortly after we stopped using them and I wasn't thrilled with them at the moment. Overall the cleaning job they did was ok, it really wasn't that bad. I liked that they used four maids, since it made the process go pretty quickly. I think the price is a bit high, but it's a larger organization and they send four people, so I think that factors into it. The reason we canceled is because I had left and before I came back they were gone and did not lock up. They made up a story about how the key wouldn't fit in the lock, but I am absolutely certain that they just didn't bring a key in the first place. They arrived as I was leaving and asked me if they door was unlocked for them, then somehow when leaving the key didn't work? I'm just not comfortable with people working in my house unattended if I feel they are dishonest. In this case the maids felt it was appropriate to leave without locking up and that was enough to terminate the arrangement.

We love them. They do a fabulous job. My greatest satisfaction with them is how the clean the floors, they get all the way to the corners. They are very respectful of your property. They come when they say they are gong to come and they do what they say they are going to do. It's usually four people that come and they are in and out of my house in under two hours.
