Our experience with the Linthicum plumbing for the hot water heater was a nightmare. Started with the person who answer the phone and gave me the quote. She told me that 90% of their hot water tank are Rheem and assured me that I would get a Rheem couple days before the installation. The plumber brought in a Bradford White tank on the day of installation. When I question why it is not a Rheem, he told me that I should not worry and all water heaters from Linthicum come with 6 years labor and part warranty. The plumber would not write down 6 years labor and part warranty on the invoice when the job was done. There was GAS SMELL after the installation. There were two visits from the company for gas leak. Both plumbers denied there was gas smell, they did the spray test., but didn't wait for 5 minutes and wipe out the liquid around the pipe not too long after spray. They used a gas test tool (cost $29 at Amazon) and calibrate inside the utility closet. The plumber who came the second trip told us that there were two licensed plumbers came out and found no problem, and the company would charge us for the third trip. He told us to call BG&E if we continue smell gas. This has been a very long process, we spent so much time and risk our health and safety to deal with the gas leak. On March 7th, our HVAC company (Maryland Heating and Air LLC) came, and it only took 5 minutes for our HVAC installer to do a bubble test (the right solution, spray and wait for 5 minutes) to show a bubble on the gas pipe of the water heater. I was grateful that my HVAC installer fixed the leak. I called the Linthicum on March 7th and the receptionist told me to send the picture and email to her, and she would forward to the owner. I have not heard anything from the company since then.

Everything went fine with the inspection. I am now waiting for a quote to replace all the plumbing.

The master plumber is Danny. They were prompt and very professional. They charged me the minimum. They were very nice and they gave me options. I asked him if this is his house, how they would do it? He did it the way he said he would have done it and it was a lot less mess.

My water heater went out on a Saturday. I called them and they arrived within hours of my call with a new hot water heater. They explained everything to me and were very professional. When I did get the price quote from the office before they came out they forgot to tell me about some other $100 part that had to be put on to be up to code. Other than that little hiccup, I was very pleased.

They performed the work, and they did a decent job. They were a little pricey. They came out on time, and the guy was professional.

Initially, I did not realize that the problem was a leaky toilet. All I could see was a drip that came out of - I kid you not! - a floor joist overhead in the basement. Worse, the drip was intermittent, coming and going. Tim and Danny from Linthicum Plumbing had to do some detective work to rule out a broken water main outside and a leaking pipe within the house. Danny tracked the drip to a leaking toilet on the street level in a largely unused powder room. He replaced the failing wax ring and made sure the insides of the toilet were in working order. Had this leak continued to go undetected, the subflooring would have turned to mush. I am so happy they found the problem, and happier still that it is now fixed.

I was able to schedule the appointment at my earliest convenience. The plumber arrived on time, found the exact source of the leak, and finished the work in under 2 hours. He was personable, explained what he was going to do, and took pains to leave the work area in the condition he found it. This is my second time using Linthicum Plumbing and I am considering using them for a master bathroom remodel.

YOU WILL NEVER FIND A BETTER, MORE PROFESSIONAL, REASONABLY PRICED, QUICK, THOROUGH PLUMBER THAN JOHN! I contacted Linithicum Plumbing and Drain Cleaning initially because I had a leak in the rigid copper tubing that extends to an exterior faucet and I needed the gas line height reduced to accommodate a new stove. I was quoted a price for that job that came in $150 less than 2 other companies. So we scheduled an appointment for the next day. An hour later, I got to wondering if Linthicum could compete with the other company quotes I'd gotten for replacement of a hot water heater so I called him back. Of course...John's quote beat others by $500-$800. So I added that to my service request. As luck would have it, that very night we developed a slow drip water main leak. I called John and we added that to my service request. No price was quoted as I understood he'd have to see the leak to determine cost. My appointment was for 8am the next day. John was there by 7:30am ready to work. He was absolutely wonderful!!!! And my husband who knows a good bit about plumbing (but was on a host of other and quot;honey do'sand quot; from my list as we'd only recently closed on our home) was impressed with John's workmanship, work ethic, speed, attention to detail and cleanliness. So we were certain we'd be presented with an astronomical bill. However, when we received the bill....pure ELATION is all I felt. Linthicum replaced or fixed 4 separate items in our home. Yet our bill for all 4 was less than any other single Plumber had been willing to charge us for just the hot water heater and installation by itself. I will NEVER use another Plumber and you shouldn't either.

The 2nd floor toilet started to leak through to the first floor. Called Linthicum Plumbing and they sent out someone right away. He quickly diagnosed the problem (new wax seal needed) and was able to fix it in within 2 hours. The bill was on the the high side, but I can't complain about the work.

They were great and their price was the cheapest. They did an excellent job. They put my ground back together after they were done. I was very pleased with them.

Toilet in upstair bathroom was leaking into the kitchen ceiling below. Apparently, the flange and seals were not put in correctly . The technician replaced the flange to meet qualifications and put in a new seal. The leak stopped immediately. I was having some other basement leakage, and the techician took the time to go over the basement where he looked at the water heater and furnace area. He also went next door to see if there was an issue with water. After reviewing all possibilities, the techician advised that it was possibly a foundation issue. Waterproofing and drain should be reviewed by appropriate company. I appreciated his input and now I am looking into foundation specialist.

Linthicum Plumbing is without a doubt the best company I have dealt with for the various plumbing problems I have experienced over the past year. I have been able to count on them multiple times throughout the course of repairing my money pit of a house. As always, they selected high-quality parts and completed the work more expediently and skillfully than any other plumbing company I dealt with. According to my research, $800 is well within reason for installing my particular type of sump pump backup, which employs water pressure rather than a battery. In addition to this particular job, they have performed polybutylene replacement and furnace cleanout valve installation for me, all with the same stellar service. Jeff and all of his employees are all honest, courteous, and upstanding men and women. It is a very rare pleasure to find such trustworthy and reliable people, and I plan on continuing to enlist their services to the exclusion of any other company.
