They removed the original roof and conducted a full inspection which revealed that the original contractor had not met code (flashing, sealing) They corrected all the issues and the final product is outstanding. Upon completion of the job the crew cleaned up the yard as if they had never been there. They even used a large magnet to pick up any nails which may have fallen onto the grass. Excellent work, Thank you Dynamic.
Description of Work: Eric (the owner) showed up personally to provide the estimate/discuss the scope of work to be performed. His crew (not subcontractors) showed up and did an outstanding job from start to finish. They were very professional, clean and courteous. The project was done beyond our expectations.  + 0 moreThey were able to successfully identify my roof leak as being the result of advanced aging for my chimney. They provided a written quote at that time and then were kind enough to answer all my questions about the technical aspects of the repair (I did some research online). He explained how he came to make the recommendations he did and also reviewed other options that might have been less expensive but would have provided less of a quality repair. The actual work was performed quickly and cleanly (minimal debris and they removed all the material (including the old chimney housing). Would recommend and would utilize again for future roofing work.
Description of Work: Replaced stack vent/chimney for hot water heater and re-flashed/re-shingled surrounding area.

 + -1 moreDynamic gave us a very competitive bid for a new architectural roofing job. They arrived mid-morning but were one crew member short they said. All the workers were professional and capable. They worked hard all day, but had trouble finishing up before dark. As a consequence, cleanup was not as thorough as expected and the next day we found many roofing staples around the perimeter. All in all, we think that was an anomaly caused by a missing crew member and would recommend them as a qualified roofing company with a good crew.
Description of Work: Removed old roof and replaced it with architectural shingles.

Another firm that came out said they would need to substantially change the structure of part of the roof to fix it! Very happy with the work Dynamic did; however, they are busy and at times not the most responsive- but I'd take that tradeoff again.

 + 0 moreI did a series of major and quot;infrastructureand quot; renovations between 2007 and 2009, including HVAC and windows. Decided it was a good time to change the side, as it was beginning to crack in a few places, plus I didn't like the color. Although I would have preferred to do the imitation shake shingle siding, my budget dictated otherwise. This went very well. They were prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. Everything was completed on time, and they cleaned up thoroughly. A couple of minor things were fixed immediately. (They also had installed a new roof earlier.) I would highly recommend them to anyone; several people in my neighborhood have used them.
Description of Work: They removed the existing vinyl siding, installed Tyvek housewrap, and Certainteed Carolina Beaded vinyl siding. Included Triple 4" vented soffits on all eaves and overhangs, as well as ceiling of screen porch. Wraped all rakes and eaves with PVC-coated aluminum, and installed 8 new sets of shutters.

 + 1 moreIn retrospect I don't believe this would have been a high priority job for any roofing company. The cost was $1,550 to remove siding which I thought was high. The $650 to replace the rear gutters (unrelated to the problem) I thought was reasonable. The workmanship could not have been better. These guys new what they were doing. They showed me the ridge in the wall where the water was coming in, answered all my questions, and worked with me to confirm that the wood was not rotted at the top of the wall, only at the sole plate which I replaced from the inside of the house. The only oversight was that after the work was done there was a section under the gutter where the Tyvek was showing through the siding. This should have been caulked after the gutters we installed, and something I ended up doing myself. Bottomline, however, I was happy with the work and would recommend this company to anyone.
Description of Work: We had a heavy rain in October. Water came into our family room at the ceiling and ran down to our hardwood floors, warping the floors. I took out the corner wall from the inside of the house and could see that the sole plate was rotted. Based on removing the wall however I was able to determine that the leak was from the ceiling at the level where the garage gutter met the house. The first roofer that came out indicated that the flashing was short. He charged me $300 to replace one piece of flashing but refused to guarantee his work. When he replaced the flashing he showed me that the last piece of flashing was not installed by the original installer, however, this was not true as I had inspected the roof before he started and could see that flashing was there. With the next rain the wall continued to leak. I then subscribed to Angie's List and called Dynamic Roofing. Eric of DR called right back and came out the next day to look at the house. After that it was about 2 to 3 weeks before an appointment could be set up to do the work. The work involved removing every piece of vinyl siding on one side of the house, taping the joints, installing Tyvek (house wrap), removing old caulk, replacing defective J channel, and installing new gutters at the back of the house. A 3 man team took about 4 hours to complete the work, were extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The gutters were installed the next day. A heavy rain came 3 days later. NO MORE LEAKS. I called Eric to thank him for his quality work!

 + -1 moreEric returned our call promptly. Since our need was for a roof repair rather than reroofing he had his brother Glen call us. Glen followed up promptly as well. He came by and looked at the roof while we were at work. He called with what he saw needing fixing and an estimate. We authorized the work. He came when he said he would, did the work, and the leak is gone. I did not go up on the roof to look at the work but used binoculars to view it from the ground and it looked good to me - colors matched, shingles looked even. He cleaned up any debris. They had done some more extensive work for us back in 2006 and we were pleased with that as well. Note: I spent more time on the phone arranging the work than I expected, Glen is a bit of a talker - but nice.

 + -1 moreThe entire job took about a week. They removed all the old siding and the layer of "insulation board" underneath, and installed new vinyl siding over Tyvek. Included was removal and reinstallation of gutters, soffit covers around the entire house, and a cover for the screen porch ceiling. They built a cover for our outside electrical (to cover the unsightly grey sheathing) and now you can't tell it's there! They were extremely efficient and neat; every day they cleaned up before leaving. Junk that was on our screen porch was moved to the patio, and they would have moved it all back if I hadn't asked them not to! They coordinated with the person installing my new windows. This company also installed a new roof a few months ago.
Description of Work: Removed existing siding and sheathing underneath. Replaced all siding and shutters, installed soffit cover and screen porch ceiling.

 + -1 moreI called the Dynamic Roofing on a Saturday expecting to leave a message then be contacted the next week. Instead Eric returned my call the same day and set up an appointment for Monday. At that meeting he did a thorough examination of our almost 30 year old roof then explained what needed to be done and what our options were. We had been having trouble with the gutters backing up due to leaf build up as well as dents so we decided to get them replaced at the same time. Eric explained that the cost might be slightly more if they discovered any of the underlying plywood had to be replaced once they ripped up the old roof and quoted us a per sheet cost. Our installation day was about two weeks after our original appointment. The roof itself took one day then a crew returned the next day to do the gutters. Everything was hauled away and I saw no trace of any debris. It turned out we only needed one or two sheets of plywood replaced. The roof looks great.
Description of Work: We had our entire roof - house and garage - replaced in Feb. 2009 including new gutters with a leaf guard. We got 30 year, architectural shingles and a ridge vent. The roof is simple with no dormers or intersecting angles.

 + 0 moreBeautiful job. Estimate of how many sheets of plywood would need to be replaced was off by about 100% - twice as many needed replacing. But there was no way to know before roof was stripped. Took two entire days working from approx. 830-430 to complete, with a several-man crew. Eric (owner) visited the site at least twice, and called me to let me know about the additional plywood sheets (these were not included in the original estimate of $7845.00; I knew I would be billed $45 per sheet for an estimated 15 sheets. When it ended up being 37 sheets, Eric only charged me $35 per sheet). I have a skylight in the kitchen, which had to be removed to install roofing and flashing around it. When it was replaced, it was "off" by about 1", which meant I could not open the skylight, and there was a gouge in the drywall inside. Eric came right out to see it (the light had already been re-positioned correctly), and is having a drywaller come out. Then the exhaust fan in the kitchen would not work. Called again - he was there the next day to clean out any debris that had dropped down that vent (which solved the problem). Very happy!
Description of Work: Replaced approx. 15-year-old roof on one-story house. Included ripping off old shingles, replacing 37 sheets of plywood (!) that had various stages of dry-rot, replaced underlayment and shingles, reworked chimney and cap, installed new flashing, re-collared vents, installed new flat rubber roof on portion of house that was built improperly years ago.

 + -1 moreWe had a small roof leak where two previous additions to the house met. Eric from Dynamic Roofing came out and noticed that the wrong type of flashing was used when the addition was built. They replaced the flashing and some damaged plywood and facia board and re-installed the existing shingles. The roof has not leaked since the repairs were made.

Eric stated we did not need a whole new roof and that repairing the skylight would probably solve our problem. He did not quote a full-roof price because he did not think it was necessary.

 + -1 moreDynamic Roofing arrived as scheduled for the roof repair, went right to work and completed the job in about 4 hours. The two men worked the full 4 hours and the third (Eric, the business owner) worked about 2 hours. They were easy to work with and answered all my questions as they went along. The job appears to be very professionally done and I am very pleased with their work. They had to get the right shingle and color, the result looks good. No water appeared after the rain on the following days. When we asked them about repairing a skylight, Eric gave me a quote on the spot, but suggested waiting until the roof had to be replaced in about 3-5 years. At the end of the job they cleaned up all the debris and blew the area clean. I would certainly recommend Dynamic Roofing to others and I definitely will consider them when it is time to do the entire roof. I might add that it was difficult to get other contractors to provide a quote for a ''small job'', but Dynamic Roofing was great.
Description of Work: They removed and replaced one roof valley and part of another, installed a ridge vent, repaired a section of the roof that was previously repaired poorly by others, and replaced 2 vent pipes.
