DAVE'S TRIM SHOP

The rear window of my Cabrio fell out. I took it to Dave's as it was highly recommended by a body shop I knew. They were very professional and friendly...I even knew the receptionist. They gave me an estimate and I agreed. The roof had to be made in California which took longer than expected. Dave's installed it. After about two years I noticed it would leak during strong storms while driving. Last summer I brought it in and asked what had happened. Two young men looked at and said the sun had shrunk it. There was nothing they could do. They had a bad attitude. I don't think that was satisfactory. It's a car roof. It's in the sun....that sort of thing happens So..I don't think much of Dave's Trim Shop and would NOT recommend them to anyone..

The work done was very good. Not everything was done due to what was practical to do and not do- based on what was accessible and what would have been beyond my budget (which was no problem). The work was done within a day (after the parts came in)- but done very well. This is a family business, which had been started by the father in the 1950's. His adult children now own and run the business. The customer communication to the shop should be done with the lady in charge (who is the older sister). The brothers do the work & are polite- but they leave almost all of the customer contact to the sister- who is a very good "people person." My experience with Dave's was good, and I would go there again for ato interior work.
