Price was middle of the road, so not bad. Had a few glitches with the salesman vs the builder for the design/install of the deck, but it was handled quickly. The company had only one person building decks at the time, with no assists for our project. He was apparently building several decks at once, so it took several weeks to complete, with a number of no-show days and days where he left our job after a short time. The company was nonchalant about this problem and my loss of time from work. When a company representative checking on the job at the end found that the layout ended up adding approx 10sf he hinted at billing me for it. I complained about the ridiculous amount of time it took to complete the job and he backed off. Work was ok, not holding up as well as I expected it to with some cracked/warping/loose boards after a year and a half. Undecided about using them for future projects at this time.
Description of Work: We contracted to build a 12x12 deck.

This customer neglected to include some very important facts. During the construction of the deck we experienced the derecho storm on june 29, 2012..Her neighborhood along with many others looked like a war zone. There were many trees down and no power for over 10 days in many areas including hers. Our company does have generators but in this crisis we were using them for power to our own homes. No one of course had any generators available after this storm for sale or rent so her job did take longer than expected. It was a situation completely out of our control. Also we built a deck so the customer did not lose any time from work due to us as all our work was outside. Regarding her split and warped boards, we suggest to every customer that purchases a wood deck that within 6 months it should be sealed to avoid those type of issues, i'm sure that was never done nor has this customer ever contacted us regarding any issues or problems. Our contract clearly states the timeframe the work is to be completed in WEATHER PERMITTING

Ron was on time, friendly, and thorough with regard to getting the full picture of what was going on with the shower. We had already had a plumber come out for an initial evaluation, so he took all of that information into account in his assessment. What was refreshing was that he actually recommended a very simple test repair to see if it fixed our problem. This is something that we were able to do on our own and it WORKED! So, basically, Ron helped us fix the problem and didn't receive any payment. He was very clear that he didn't want us to waste our money ripping out our entire shower if we didn't have to (the entire bathroom had been newly remodeled prior to us purchasing the home, so everything was less than a year old and good quality). This is in stark contrast to another contractor who came out briefly and said that the only way to fix the shower was to rip the whole thing out for 10,000 dollars! I'd definitely seek out Green Solutions Remodeling again if we needed work done because I could be confident that he would not try to sell us something we didn't need. He did a great job explaining all of the options in our situation and recommending he simplest, least expensive one first before we invested even more money.
Description of Work: Ron came out to give us a consultation and estimate regarding a shower leak.

This is the third home repair project I have used Green Solutions for. I have been very impressed with the quality of work and materials. Prices have been very fair, no high pressure sales and great communication. I would and have recommended them to others and will definitely use them for more projects that we have planned.

Green Solutions did a wonderful job replacing my nasty old aluminum windows with vinyl windows (And I do mean nasty! After fighting with cleaning them for over 20 years, I gave up!). Communication with the owner was wonderful. He kept us apprised of the start date and any changes due to rain which we've had a lot of this year. Sonny showed up to measure the windows and they were in within a few weeks. We were surprised since others quoted 6-8 weeks to get the windows in. Installation went very well, the windows look excellent. Sonny took the time to show us how to open them for cleaning and also how to take out and replace our full screens. They cleaned up and were very respectful of our home. Green Solutions has done work for us previously and because we had such a great experience, we were very comfortable using them again. We have more plans for improvements and will be using them again. We would highly recommend Ira and his company to anyone that asks. I think the thing that stands out the most is how respectful they have been to us and have not hesitated to answer our many questions.

Communication with Ira and Dawn at Green Solutions has been excellent. They kept in touch and let me know what would be happening so that I was able to schedule my time easily. Work was completed quickly and they did an excellent job cleaning up. I got exactly what I wanted with no surprises. Maurice's crew did a wonderful job. We will definitely be using Green Solutions for more work. We met the owner at the Timonium Home and Garden Show and he followed up with us right away and was nice enough to make an extra trip to talk to me and show me what we would be getting since I was unable to be there for his original appointment. His price fair and the job was scheduled right away. We will be keeping Green Solutions busy!

Stan was the salesman who came out. He gave us a price and told us what he was going to do. We picked out cabinets and countertops. He never went downstairs to look at the electrical panel. We later called him to come out and give us a price on the garage. It was at this time that he asked for additional money to upgrade the electrical which caught us completely out of the blue. I had talked to the owner of the company later who was told by Stan that he had looked at the electric box. We had gone with the lower priced option on the cabinets and we had picked out a countertop as well. The countertop we were shown was not the one that we had picked out. It seemed that every time we turned around we were getting a different story. Our house has hardwood flooring in the kitchen and dining room. Stan said they would have to take out the cabinets and "tooth" the wood flooring together. We were later told that they would have to completely redo the floor. We did settle on doing the whole floor which they did for no extra cost. Stan said they would have to bring in an electrician, who was subbed out. The electrician told us what he charged which was significantly less than what we were being charged by Green Solutions. We have nothing but good things to say about Tim who did the work. There was a foreman that came out later, Todd, who was very nice and accomodating. When we were settling up the price, Stan miscalculated some of the costs and we caught that in time. When all was said and done we weren't charged any extra for the additional work.

We had spoken to Green Solutions in the fall about our roof. They advised that we should do the roof sooner than later. When the winter kicked in, we noticed wet spots on the second floor ceiling. We called them on February 3rd. We were hoping to get the work done early in the month, but the weather prevented that from happening. They delivered the materials on Friday and Monday, 6 guys were here clearing the snow from the roof and today they installed the shingles. We gave each of the guys cash tip for their work. A big thanks to Ira for getting this done .

Ron Kraus came out and viewed my situation and gave me an estimate. He talked way too much and went off on tangents several times. I was stressed out with my recent move and an onslaught of estimates, and merely wanted to stick to the facts of my job and get to the bottom line. I literally had to stop him from talking so much. His personality just was not my cup of tea. I also was not convinced that he had much building experience. He referred to having to go to his guys and talk about it before he could complete an estimate. The estimate came in too high. He was willing to work with me to help me fit my tight schedule. He called me several times after the estimate wanting to know my decision. I called and left a message that I had chosen someone else and didn't care to discuss it. He still called me back and left a message. Thank goodness he has stopped.

Would not recommend this company to anyone. The work was eventually completed; however, the road to the end was extremely frustrating. There was a total lack of communication between the sales person and the project manager. Then there was a total lack of communication between the project manager and his many sub contractors. There was re-work needed on the vinyl outside - noticed by me, not the workers or project manager. There was constant need for me to explain to the sub contractors what they were to complete - the project manager was not clear. It took forever to complete the project. The room addition became the project from h***. The foundation was laid fine; however, everything else went poorly. The installation could not be installed because the plywood ceiling had not been removed; the electrical had to be reworked because the project manager was not clear where the door would be placed; the initial electrician hired by the company wanted me to have nearly $3000 more work performed than the inspector requested - fortunately I was smart enough to wait for the inspection. The first electrical inspection failed because the electrician did not do something they admitted they knew they need to do. I have a fenced yard and could not let my dogs out for over two weeks because of contractor did not clear up after himself daily as documented in the contract. He could not place a dumpster in my driveway because I needed the driveway clear for someone who is in a wheelchair. The contractor had contracted for someone to pick up the debris daily but the individual backed out of the contract. There was wood, nails, vinyl, and so many sharp objects that I could not safely let my dogs in the back yard. There was one contractor who had a total disregard for my personal property. He would sling nails anywhere and everywhere he wanted without picking them up. The bottom line, every time a subcontractor had to be rescheduled because of the contractor's mistakes meant another one of my few days off work had to be dedicated to this project needlessly. One of the last questions I asked the contractor before signing the contract was "who was going to be here every day to make sure the work is done correctly?" He assured me he or one other would perform that duty. He was mistaken. It took from August to late December to complete this project. All I can really say is that I am very thankful that it is finally complete. One last thought - I was the first house in the neighborhood to get vinyl exterior on my house. The contractor knew that if he did a good job he would get much follow on business. I unfortunately thought this meant he would put one of his best subcontractors on the job - he did not. The new addition kept leaking after it rained and the blame was always pointed elsewhere. Please think twice before using this contractor.

I find it amazing sometimes when i read some of these reviews and the small facts that are left out. First i don't know how 5 c's average to a D but that aside. The job went very well untill we closed up the addition and then needed access from the inside of the house to finish. "Reasonable access" is something that is required from our customers in order for us to complete a job in a timely manner. "Reasonable access" was not offered by this customer who would allow us to enter the house alone and many times only after 1pm and on numerous occassions only on a saturday for 4 hours every other week. Its very hard to get anything done with multiple trades once every week or two on a saturday. Its amazing the job was completed as quickly as it was given these constraints. The only misunderstanding was on the customer's part regarding the door in question who thought a pocket door could be put in a exterior wall with no studs in it. Yes our electrician did give a 3k estimate to bring her breaker box up to code, and it was a mutual decision to wait to see if the inspector would require the extra work. This customer also did not believe that some landscaping work which was brought up level to our new foundation was in violation of code either but a visit from the building inspector changed her mind on that as well. I would be happy to bring this code violation to the attention of the electrical inspector if she wants me to . It was his call if he wanted to make a issue of it and thats why we waited on doing any extra work. Not a safety concern just a code violation. Over 3300 sq ft of old wood siding and nails were pulled off this job and as the customer stated we could not use a dumpster ..at the end she showed me a half cup of nails that the found in her yard. 3300 sq ft of siding pulled off and a half cup of nails obscured because it was fall and there were leaves on the ground. The issues on her job were normal issues quickly taken care off and very minor in nature to most people. O yes the addition we built was directly underneath an existing addition after several attemps to correct the leaking problem (which we did) it was found the water was infiltrating from the existing addition above. If you have a job to do and want it done in a timely manner and then will only let us work 4 hrs at a time then we are not the company for you. If you look at the other reviews on angies list most folks have a very different opinion of us. Its true you can't make everyone happy but with good work you can make most people happy thats all we can do

They started off really good. They came out the next day and the guy was really friendly on the phone and really friendly in person. He just said that I probably get the estimate the same day but I never heard back. He gave me his card and I called him but I didn't hear back from him. The second time I called, I called the company and I spoke to the receptionist. I said that I haven't heard back from him and he got back to me and he apologized for not getting back sooner but there was no estimate writing. He just did a verbal thing on the phone and he sounded like he was just sort of making it up while I was talking to him and it seemed to be more expensive than the other estimates I got, not by tremendous amount but by at least $500-$600 so I just didn't feel like he was really that professional because he didn't get back to me. He didn't seem to check in if I wanted him to do the work or not. The other guy got back to me though he was a little late but he sent me an email and he said it's taking him a little bit longer to get my estimate done on the remodeling but he should have it to me within the next couple of days. I don't think there's an issue with the company as a whole, probably it's just this particular salesperson that came out because his communication wasn't good. I don't know if they did commission and maybe because it's a smaller job so I don't know if he wasn't that interested because he was not going to get the big commission, I'm not really sure what happened. Maybe they could work with that salesperson or something to improve his communication.

Green Solutions has done work for me before. They are my ?go to? contractor. I won?t hire anyone else. I watched them do the roof across the street and knew that I wanted them working on mine. This most recent renovation was the biggest we?ve ever done with Green Solutions. Inside, we had the kitchen completely redone (which is perfect ? THANKS to Tim for finding out how I use my kitchen and his ideas for the ?extra touches? that make it a better functioning kitchen, like putting outlets where I need them!!) The new hardwood flooring that covers 1/3 of the main floor (better than I imagined because of the eye to detail ? THANKS to Jared.) The foyer and laundry updated. A BIG THANKS to Dave for leaving another job and driving 2 hours to get here - JUST because the schedule for this one would be delayed by a day if the painting wasn?t finished!! Outside, we had them replace the deck (THANKS to Mike and his guys for building the deck better than I thought I wanted ? in one day), the siding (THANKS to Charlie and his crew who are REAL nice guys) and the new doors (THANKS to Rob ? love my new front door). Ira made the process real easy for me. He didn?t push me to sign a contract and made sure we included everything I wanted done. He waited for me to get my association approvals, came over with samples for me to send in with my package. He stopped in to bring me crates of samples for my counters. Ira came over on my schedule to sign contracts because I wanted to get this moving to get it done before the holidays ? which it is!! Mike came in to do ?exploratory? demo to find hidden stuff, and suggested going a little further on the cuts, just to make sure, and found stuff nobody even thought would be there. Ira brought in specific people to give their opinions on how to move stuff, and when they said ?won?t work?, Tim made it work. My THANKS to the plumbers, 1st to Bruce who discovered why my drain has never drained properly and fixed that, then Jacob who told me ?I wouldn?t use that, but if you use this it would be better? and I did and it worked. Ira stopped in regularly during the work to see the progress. Dawn and Joe back at the office made sure I was kept informed about things going on, and called just to make sure I knew that they hadn?t forgotten me, but they were still waiting for another company to respond to them with info for me. And THANKS to Andrew for keeping that trash moving out, and that was a lot of trash to move. In the past couple of years I?ve had Green Solutions replace my roof, my garage door, my garage floor, all of the windows, and doors to the outside, as well as repairing a ceiling that was ready to fall, and replacing the damp insulation in my attic. Rob even fixed a long term problem with our sliding door that has been making us nuts since we moved in here. I get a great price. More important, I get customer service that is to what my needs are. I?m not ignored or forgotten. My questions are answered either by email (what I prefer) or by phone. I will only hire Green Solutions because I know I?m going to get a good price, I?m going to get quality work, and I can trust the workers who enter my home. They smile ? they are nice people. I plan to have Green Solutions work here in the future. Tim said something about when he was redoing a bathroom, and I want Tim to redo my bathrooms.

I asked Green Solutions to come give me an estimate on vinyl siding. The gentleman who came out was nice enough, but spent an hour telling me how great and how honest his company was. Finally, as he was walking to his car he turned around and asked if I wanted to see samples of siding products. While he was at my house I also asked about finishing my basement. His response was that they only handle major jobs and don't do such minor projects. I will admit that he seemed quite knowledgeable, but I don't trust a company that has to tell me how amazing and trustworthy they are. I was also put off by being snubbed about a "minor" job that I knew would run several thousand dollars. I don't see myself calling these people back anytime soon.

How could you tell that the salesman was knowedgeable if all he talked about was how great the company was? For the record we were never told of a project in the basement when you called in for a estimate and were only called out for the siding . There could have been many factors that caused us to shy away from your basement project not the fact that it was too small of a job..

Spoke with the salesman who's estimate was 2500.00 less than estimates I'd previously gotten for the same work, the same materials, and the same guarantees. I was a bit worried that the quality of the workmanship would be reflected in the lower price but that proved to be completely wrong. I was very happy with the guys who actually performed the work and I'm very happy with the finished product.

At the home show, Green Solutions did not schedule a meeting. Instead, they called us back a week later to schedule an appointment. By this time, we had already interviewed most of the other contractors (6 roofers and 3 gutter companies). We set up a meeting. Ron Kraus, of Green Solutions, came out to do the quote. Unlike all the other contractors, Ron was not prepared to get on the roof to take measurements or discuss any problems. I had to insist on walking around the house so I could point out various problem areas that needed addressed, which he did. As we talked, it became apparent that Ron was more of a salesman, and didn't really have a lot of knowledge about roofs and gutters. In fact, he didn't even have much knowledge about the company he was representing. He claimed that all the roofers were subcontractors, and when I brought up issues regarding insurance (for subcontractors) which he couldn't answer, he called the home office, at which time he was informed that the roofers were NOT subcontractors but part of the company. In the end, I let him draw up a quote. He wanted to use a satellite survey to take the measurements, and since I was interested in that data for other reasons, I offered to pay for it ($65) so I would have it. The data came in, he emailed the survey documents, and I paid him by check. When I received his quote, his estimate of square footage seemed high. After comparing his quote with the satellite survey, I discovered that he was quoting shingles for my 40x12 ft deck! Duh. Their prices were reasonable, but I felt like I never spoke with a knowledgeable roofer during the entire process, so I wasn't confident in what I would get for the money. In the end, I chose a contractor who gave knowledgeable recommendations for all of my roof problems, had the kind of gutter covers I wanted, and offered a much better workmanship warranty.

Overall, the experience was outstanding. The painter, carpenter, roofers, carpet guy, and the men who framed our front door with aluminum siding did an exceptional job restoring our home from Super Storm Sandy. Our roof no longer leaks, our attic is dry and free from fungus, our daughter loves her new bedroom; and everyone except our daughter wants to take possession of our newly renovated basement; and all of this in time to celebrate Christmas. We cannot decide if it will become our son's new bedroom, my husband's "Man Den", or my room for whatever. All of the trades were professional in their demeanor and work ethic. Mike, the carpenter, is a very talented man. He transformed our basement into a showcase, and I cannot wait to show my family and friends the work that he has done. Last but not least, Mr. Ira and Dawn from Green Solutions Remolding were fantastic; At all times during this process, we were completely at ease with the number of trades that were in and outside of our house. If I had a question, Dawn or Mr. Ira was there to answer, and best of all; there was a 24-hour answering service in case of an emergency. This was the best experience that we have ever had with a remolding company, and would recommend Green Solutions Remolding to anyone in need of home remolding or repairs. I give this company an A+
Description of Work: Our house was damaged by Super Storm Sandy. After all the trouble we had with Travelers Insurance Company to get the money to repair the damages, Mr. Ira from Green Solutions Remolding came to our home an reassured us that our house would be restored to the home we were always pleased to have. Well, Green Solutions Remolding did exactly what they promised to do; and then some. We had experienced damage to our roof, attic, daughter's bedroom, and the front part of our basement.

We called them in July just to get an idea on what refacing would cost us. After the estimate, we decided to have them come out and price out a full remodel, with a wall knocked out between the kitchen and dining room. We had also received an estimate from Home Depot. We looked over the plans, called the references, as well as checked with the MHIC.We decided in August to get the work done. After considering a full remodel, we asked if doing an expansion would be feasible, so after many weeks of ideas being emailed, we decided to do a full bump out off of the kitchen, and add a breakfast nook. After the shell was completed, we were looking at the different siding samples, as well as trying to match the existing roof. It was at that point that we decided to replace the siding and the shingles on the roof. We were a bit wary about Green Solutions completing all of these jobs. They started the work the second week of September and everything was completed around the 10th of November. We had everything done in time for Thanksgiving. From the initial meeting to the completion, we were very happy about the job. The crews were good about cleaning up every day. The communication with Dawn and Todd at the office was also good. Going from a smaller refacing to a complete kitchen, roof, and siding was a big decision. Our home, now 40 years old, should be good to go for another 40 years. Our next project will be the windows, probably in 2 years. Our salesman Joe, as well as the office staff of Todd and Dawn, kept in touch and handled our questions and concerns with professional and quick results.
Description of Work: Green Solutions just completed the kitchen remodeling on my home. They were recommended by my mother in law. They had recently refaced her cabinets as well as installed new Corian counter tops back in June.

+Company representative/partner listened to our needs attentatively and translated same into a detailed plan to be executed begining in fall 2010 and completed during spring 2011 with competitive pricing based upon other estimates. Work began in fall 2010, as promised and progressed on schedule. Some extreme cold in December 2010 slowed somewhat the masonrry work, but work was still completed on time. and within budgeted amount. My wife had surgery in March about the time the cut-thru and mess from same would have been at its worst and our representative and his wife offered to let us live in an unoccupied furnished apartment he had available over their garage until the debris was cleaned up so as to let us reoccupy our home. This meant a lot to me and my wife. Upon completion, I submitted to our representative a small list of outstanding issues to be resolved, which he took care of immediately. Overall we were delighted with the result. We will definitely use Green Solutions Remdeling again in the future.

Green Solution called me soliciting work. A salesman named Stan Sirody came out to give me an estimate on June 19th.I was pleased with him and he seemed very sincere(what a mistake that was).He came back 2 days later and I picked out all my fixtures in champagne bronze and the shower base, toilet, and bowl in Mexican Sand. Nothing else happened for 4 weeks. I called Stan and he kept giving me excuses on why they couldn't start work, he was sick, his wife broke her arm etc...finally on July 24th the plumber Jacob showed up with Tim who was to be doing all the work , turned off water and removed toilet. We wanted our shower base, toilet and bowl all in desert sand and upon looking at their website for specs realized that the toilet didn't come in that color with a 10 inch rough-in. had to make Stan aware of that, because again he didn't do his research after more than 5 weeks now. Was told by Stan at this point he was just the salesman and I needed to speak with Ira Libowitz (the owner of the company) I called him and left a message and he never returned my call. So at this point I am back to square one without any of the products I wanted. We finally had contact with Ira after calling him again. He told us we would need to change the pipes under the floor to accommodate our choice of color that was only available in a 12 inch rough-in .If we would have known 5 weeks earlier this problem would not have happened. He also told us this change would have been at our expense. Had a major argument with Ira over this. This was their mistake that shouldn't have been made by a so called professional remodeler. Had to change all the fixtures and color of toilet, shower base and bowl to almond. Also needed to change all the fixtures from champagne bronze to brushed nickel ,so everything would match. I was very unhappy that I couldn't get what I envisioned my bathroom to look like. Next Tim and his son came in to remove all tile and rip out sheet rock and remove tub. Tim came back next day and took out all nails and cleaned up to get ready for sheet rock. The last day of July, Dave Calp the painter arrived to install sheet rock. Next day Stan arrived to get sign off on color change to almond and fixture change to brushed nickel (which both were less expensive than original quote) Stan made a point of letting me know my original products were more expensive because they were custom. Shower bases were ordered and it took 7 bases to be delivered until we received one that wasn't damaged. we couldn't believe that these bases kept coming in and they were all damaged. Another 4 week delay. Had to have shower base in before they could tile. This contract was supposed to be completed in 60 days ended up taking 3 1/2 months and still has a faucet that the stopper doesn't open and close due to the hole in the granite top not large enough per their plumber. Also a shower diverter that I can't reach. Also ordered a custom linen cabinet to match my vanity and that also came in not as I ordered. ALL I CAN SAY IS BEWARE, BEWARE ,BEWARE AND DON'T HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR . THEY MADE MY LIFE A LIVING H*** FOR 3 1/2 MONTHS.THEY WERE NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT BATHROOMS AND WERE ALSO VERY ARROGANT. everything that they responded with are untrue.the man that worked on the job was fine . he even agreed they were a terrible company and all the customers complained about them. every stament that is written is more bs. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.I asked alot of companies about GREEN SOLUTIONS AND NO ONE HAS EVER HEARD OF THEM. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER CONTRACTOR.IF THEY HAVE SO MANY REPEAT CUSTOMERS,WHY ON THE PHONE TRYING TO SOLICITE BUSINESS.

Response from Green Solutions Remodeling
Green Solutions Remodeling has enjoyed the challenge of exceeding the expectations of our clients for over a half a century. Remodeling can be stressful for a homeowner, we strive to make it as stress free as possible. When troubles do arise a project manager contacts the customer and makes every effort to make things right. A true measure of our success is the number of repeat customers we have, some of these customers have experienced first hand how hard we strive to make things correct when a mistake is made or an oversight is discovered. It's easy to satisfy a homeowner when things go perfectly, which they usually do. The real challenge is satisfying someone after there has been a problem. We make every effort to avoid problems but when they do arise we bend over backward to make lemon-aid of our lemons. A client who appreciates this type of attitude from a contractor will become a customer for life, we have several such customers. For reasons known only to this particular customer she felt her job should begin just days after signing the contract. This would never be the case for such a job, it takes several weeks to obtain the materials and schedule the work. Shortly after the contract was signed she began calling on a regular basis demanding to know when the job would begin. We did our best to explain the situation and assured her the work would be done by the time specified in the contract. Her phone calls persisted and became increasingly hostile. We eventually began the job about 4 weeks after the contract was signed, with plenty of time to meet our 60 day deadline. When the job began she was rude and hostile to our crews from day one. A few minor issues arose in the first week when some unforeseeable things were discovered during demolition, when the project manager reached out to the homeowner to discuss the job he was repeatedly call "a liar" by the homeowner and was berated in a fashion which caused him concern. After repeated instances of such treatment including being cursed at and called a liar over and over again the project manager decided all further communication would be done in writing via email, he was tired of the things he said to the customer verbally being twisted to suit her needs and was also growing weary of being verbally abused on an ongoing basis. So much of the above review is too far removed from fact to warrant a response. There were several shower bases shipped in by the distributor which were wrong, the first was a model with a left hand drain in a box stating it had a right hand drain, we had to have the right hand style. The replacement was received with severe damage. Two more units which had minor visual imperfections in the tile flange were then sent out. The imperfections were not structural and would be completely hidden behind the ceramic tile being installed after the base was put in place. The homeowner refused to accept these bases which caused additional unneeded delay. The distributor was kind enough to call the homeowner on our behalf to take responsibility for the delayed base, he was called a liar as well The owner of our company finally decided he would drive nearly 900 miles round trip to Ohio to make sure the next base would be perfect. Her show of appreciation for this was to once again call the project manager as well as the company owner liars, We offered to supply gas and food receipts to prove the trip had been made. She made no reply to the offer. The job was further delayed when the homeowner refused to make a progress payment as agreed in the contract upon completion of specific aspects of the work. We exercised our right to stop progress on the job until payment due was received, this is a step we have had to resort to only a handful of times in over 50 years. Our crews on site were regularly treated in a rude and hostile fashion. Our primary craftsman onsite was told on a daily basis how wonderful and professional the contractor who had done a large project for the homeowner a few years previous had been. He was eventually able to get the name of this contractor from the homeowner. The contractor was one our man has gained some familiarity with in his more than 35 years in the business. He contacted a friend who works for the other contractor, this friend was involved with the previous project for our homeowner. He described a very familiar story as to how his people were treated and how the job went. It became obvious to us why this contractor was not performing this job as well. We provided our customer a beautiful job which experienced some unfortunate delays which were beyond our control. She received everything which she contracted for and more. We did everything in our power to satisfy her expectations and attempt to make her happy. When the job was completed we had to send certified mail, at our expense, threatening legal action. It was not until the customer received this notice that we were paid the balance of the job. There have been very few customers over our five decades in business who we would not consider doing further work for, this homeowner has secured a firm position atop that list

The job went well. I wanted to do a complete do-roved of my kitchen, but I realized that was not going to happen. Joe had suggested that I should refacde. The cabinets are nice and the fronts are just , old. He also had Steve resize the cabinet aboe the stove, and Steve hooked up my new appliances. I really wanted a granite top, but, that was a little pricy. The new laminate sounters look great. I was under the impression that refacing was supposed to be conseiderably less expensive. After recieving quotes last year for a new kitchen and fancy fronts, I decided to go in the direction of refacing. My home is now up to date, and Green Solutions was great for this job also. They are not the least expensive, and they were far from being the most. One thing that I really appreciate is that they were never pushy that my husband be home.
