We were getting water in our basement on a regular basis - when he came to do an estimate, Mr. Esposito was very thorough and professional, but also easy to talk to. My husband asks a lot of questions, and Mr. Esposito took the time to answer all of them during the estimate. He identified the problem as being due to a poorly functioning drainage system and recommended that we replace a portion of the underground drainage system connected to our gutters/downspouts. Esposito Company completed the work in a timely fashion - arrived when they said they would, and finished the job in just a couple of days, despite running into some complications along the way. Much of our front and side yard had to be dug up in order to access and replace the drainage pipe, but by the time the job was completed, you would never have known! Mr. Esposito was very thorough, even regrading a portion of the front yard while he was installing the new drainage piping so that water would not be left standing up against the house. It has been almost a year, and we've had no water in our basement since this work was done (despite a hurricane last summer)! Overall, Mr. Esposito was professional, friendly, easy to work with, and did a fantastic job. We were extremely pleased and would definitely use Esposito Company again.
Description of Work: Esposito Company replaced several poorly functioning underground drainage pipes connecting to the gutters/downspouts on our home in order to stop water from coming into our basement. The original pipes had do be dug up, new pipes put down and then both our front and side lawn were regraded and reseeded.
The roof deck covering the garage leaked unnoticed for years and rotted out a main structural beam. The beam was really thick and ndash; 4 -2x10's and spanned about 12 feet across the garage. Joe Esposito gave me options on how the repair could be made. He suggested replacing the wooden beams with a steel beam which would never rot if the deck roof leaked again. He and his crew removed the rotted material and supported the garage temporarily. They cut a small opening in the side of the garage and slid the steel beam into place. The new beam is supported by new posts and steel brackets and ndash; I could hook an engine hoist to it and it wouldn't budge. They did an excellent job, patched the hole and cleaned up the mess.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced rotted garage beam.

We converted our house from oil heat to geothermal. The geothermal installation left the backyard a muddy mess with piles of dirt and large rocks. So it needed regrading and seeding. We also had a 35 year old, 1000 gallon in-ground oil tank buried right against the foundation of the house that needed to be removed along with a 10' x 4' concrete pad where the air conditioning units used to sit. The basement floor next to the tank would get water seeping in when it rained. Joe Esposito had done a few other projects at our house which came out great so I knew the quality of his work. He came out to review the job and gave us an estimate. The job required pumping out the heating oil left in the tank, digging the tank out and hauling it away, bringing in additional top soil to grade the yard and seeding it. He warned us that a tank this old could be leaking but hopefully it would come out in one piece and wouldn't require any clean up from spilled oil. I was worried about how close the tank was to the house and the limited amount of space there was to get machines in to do the job. Joe and his crew came when scheduled and worked until the job was finished. They took their time and were able to remove the tank in one piece without causing any damage to the house. They buried the concrete pad in the hole along with the geothermal drillings and rocks which saved us some money on fill dirt. They brought in top soil and graded out the back yard. They even mixed in top soil where a ground up tree stump used to be so grass would grow there. They were very thorough cleaning up and the yard looks great after the grass grew in. We haven't had a drop of water in the basement yet - even through hurricane Sandy!
Description of Work: Dug up and removed a 1000 gallon in-ground oil tank. Removed a concrete pad that air conditioning units were sitting on. Regraded and seeded large backyard after geothermal excavation and installation project.
