When the estimate finally came in, even the HD rep was shocked. $14,000 for labor alone for a 10 x 6 bathroom with no moving of walls and very little movement of tub drain and faucet. (price included 84" vanity, which is outside the 10 x 6 space, which we are not replacing). Price, when the formula is broken down, indicates $3000 just to demo the 10 x 6 space (plus vanity), $6000 just to lay floor and wall tile. When I called and got the answering machine, I told them the estimate shocked everyone and gave them an opportunity to call me back if some mistake was made. Never heard from them. Subsequent prices from other contractors came in at $4987 and $6500 labor cost. Maybe Scott's is so fantastic that they don't want little jobs like mine, and so they overprice to get rid of us. But since they didn't call to explain, all I can tell other consumers is that they are extremely expensive.
Description of Work: Home Depot uses this installer for their new bathroom remodel program. I paid $100 for the estimate. It took a few days to hear from Scott's to schedule an appointment for measuring, but the estimator was pleasant and prompt. My Home Depot rep called me in a couple of days to say he'd sent his info over to Scott's, but after more than 10 days passed, I had to call Scotts to get the estimate from them.

The contractor that a home improvement store hired to install our cabinets was Scott's General Contracting and they measured wrong, so the home improvement store sent the wrong size of cabinets. Scott's solution was to bring a pipe into the living room in order to hide the place that was going to be exposed in the kitchen. We didn't want that, so we ended up going with another contractor.
Description of Work: They came to measure and estimate the cost of installing new wooden cabinets in our medium sized kitchen.
